| Alexander's office was pretty much what you would expect; a mini-version of his laboratory, along with the necessities that being a captain entailed, like a desk, seating arrangements, and the joyful thing known as paperwork. Rows and rows of books filled many shelves all around the room, as well as tools and all other sorts of mechanical things.
The office was were Alexander usually retreated to if he was not in the Lab, to nobody's surprise.

| Lakshmi ended up coming by the office at the end of the day but saw no one there. Smiling, the Taicho had a small note with a member, who had hopefully put it on his desk or somewhere it could be found.
Sorry for not stopping by for long! I have the following Tuesday off later in the day, if that would be fine for our date. Thank you, Lakshmi

| After finally having left the Laboratory, a few hours later the Captain of the division returned to his quarters. By his look, he could probably do with some rest, but as a scientist Alexander was not normally accustomed to it. The metaphorical gears in his head were always turning.
As he reached his desk, he looked down and saw a little note, with what seemed like a woman's handwriting. Ah, it was Lakshmi. He had barely had time to think about the little outing he had asked her to what with working on Captain Des' gadget almost immediately after she left. He smiled a little bit before putting it down and noting the day mentally as he walked around the desk and sat down, immediately pulling out a pen and grabbing what paperwork was on his desk at the moment. With swift strokes of his pen, he began filling it out like it was child's play.

| Aoi walked with purpose down the hallway until she reached the door of the Twelve Squad Captain. She was nervous, very nervous... But her Captain was backing her if things went sour. That silly romanticist.
Still, he was a Captain and did an amazing job here. She respected that... she just didn't trust his morals, though to be fair her own were skewed a bit... But Rin was hers, not something to be experimented on.
Knocking on the door, she took a big gulp. "Captain Releigus, its Lieutenant Murahana."

| "Come in." The Captain quickly remarked in a straight-forward tone. He was still busy with paperwork, so he wasn't really thinking about why the Lieutenant would be here yet. | |

| Aoi stepped inside, moving quickly to the front of his desk and bowing quickly to him. Still bowed, she spoke quickly, wanting to get this over with. "I have news concerning your request. The human did not wish to make contact with the Twelfth Squad or answer anything. However, he might be fine if I bring him a list of questions or a questionaire to fill out. I do not think he'd be opposed to a less obtrusive way."
Or dangerous. | |

| Hearing the news, Alexander finished the current piece of paperwork he was on and set the pen down a little bit, looking up at Aoi, who was busy bowing. She seemed a little on guard, from her manner of speech and body language...which only made the R&D Head more curious. He didn't show it, though. Alex was a master at being straight-faced.
"That is unfortunate, then." The Captain spoke up, again in an emotionless manner. "My intrigue was not based so much on questions, so that wouldn't be of any help." So it was a he, then. Hmmmmm....
"Is this person the only Fullbringer you have contact with, Miss Murahana?"

| Aoi straightened up, a frown on her face though she tried to force it into a straight face. This Captain worried her for some reason. She felt like he'd dissect her given the chance, if he knew... Knew what? That odd thought was lost though as he spoke.
"I apologize for the inconvenience, Captain. He is the only one I have met and can contact regularly." Ruka didn't count, she wasn't lying. She wanted to lie as little as possible with someone like him, he seemed too sharp to make too many falsehoods around.

| Alexander could see her frown that she was attempting to hide. Was she upset, and if so, why would she be? She couldn't be afraid of reporting failure to him, its not like he was her Captain...There was something deeper going on, that much he was certain of...
"Ah, I see...while this is a setback, do not worry yourself, Miss Murahana. I realize that I asked you an extraordinary favor in the first place." He paused. "And its not like I can force you to do anything as your superior, as you are not in my Squad." He chuckled lightly, which probably would unnerve the poor young woman even more. "Thank you for reporting back to me on this." He nodded just a bit, letting her know that she was finished here.
...but he would save his intrigue for another day, fortunately for the Lieutenant of Squad Six.

| "Oh, thank you Captain." Aoi was startled, he was so...nice even if his laugh made her worry. Was he plotting? He seemed like the evil plotting scientist type. She gave a quick bow and nodded. "You're welcome Sir. If that is all... I must be going."
As she turned around, a small sigh escaped her lips. She fled with as much dignity as she could imagine, at a steady 'busy' walk, but it was obviously fleeing nonetheless.

| After leaving the Rukon, Alexander had returned to his division and for once, did not head straight for the Lab or anything of the sort. Instead, he chose to enter his Office, briskly walking over towards his database outlet and entering in new information about his previous outing in the Rukongai with the Lieutenant of Squad 10 to update it.
Normally one would expect the Captain to then head over towards his desk and continue working, but it was still technically his day off. He was not supposed to get back to his usual dealings until tomorrow, so what was the Scientist to do? He paced a small bit back and forth in the room, obviously a bit uncomfortable with the current situation...
"Alexander, sit and relax. You are allowed to take things easy once in a while." A soft, feminine voice appeared in the man's mind.
"...Fine." The man remarked in a dull manner, walking over towards the couch in his office and taking a seat on it, obviously still a bit fidgety despite the comfortable position he was in. Undoubtedly, Sol easily picked up on this. She knew Alexander was not agitated like this simply because he couldn't return to his work. No...something else had to have shaken him enough to get the normally stoic man to act like this.
"...What's troubling you? Was it seeing those districts again? You don't have to go back there you know..."
Being part of him, she knew about his past, and could see how being in such a spot would easily unsettle the man, even if he didn't show it at the time.
"I have to...to remind myself of what happened. I ran away all those years ago and never looked back. I was too afraid to come back until recently...I cannot disgrace the memory of my parents, Sol...what little I remember of them. I need to get back to work...so I can return there one day and make things right. No child should have to live the same life I did."
Sol couldn't really argue any of her owner's points, but more so, she was worried for his health, both mental and physical. He had those that could be considered friends now, but they were not around all the time. No one aside from her could really watch over Alexander, and even then, she could not manifest a physical form, so she could not stop him from doing any harm to himself even if she wanted to...
"It will be tomorrow before you know it. Its late...for now, just get some rest...for me, alright?" She asked, the concern in her voice resembling that of a mother's. Alexander, for a change, didn't resist. She had been smart and appealed to his sense of reason. He put his feet up on the other side of the couch and turned over on his side, getting some rest in a quiet moment.
