Lakshmi was enjoying being wrapped up in Kaimu's arms, both of them sleeping peacefully in the dead of night when her phone rang. The cell phone plugged into the wall on the bedside table vibrated loudly, shocking her out of her slumber. It was rare to get a call this late and she grumbled as her arm reached out, slipping out of Kaimu's arms and moving to take the phone.

Seeing who was calling, before she decided to throttle them, her eyes widened a bit in shock as she answered the call from Masabutt. Her voice was quiet and sleepy as she tried to not wake Kaimu up, moving towards the bedroom door. "This better be an emergency Masabutt."

As he waited for Lakshimi to answer, he watched as Mia crawled over to him, having moved back onto the bed, and even though they were both worried, he couldn't stop a soft smile from appearing as she cuddled up to him, his free arm went around her, holding her their just as Lakshimi picked up.

"E-Eh, aha...well..I apologize for calling you so late, Lakshimi...but...there's an emergency." Masaru replied, trying to...ignore the nickname, though his eye had gotten a twitch from it, and explain the situation.

He cleared his throat, an action meant to push himself towards...talking about it.

"W-We, as in...M-Mia and I we..." Explain damn it! "Without...protection..."


Kaimu had given a soft noise of of stirring slightly as Lakshimi moved from his arms, but otherwise not waking; there was a warmth missing though, and his asleep mind attempted to slightly curl into itself, bringing the blankets a bit up closer to him in his sleep.

Mia felt quite a bit better as Masaru held her. This...had been what she needed most. Sighing softly, she then listened as he spoke, though she couldn't help the blush that came over her face as he explained. Hopefully Lakshmi wouldn't be too upset...

Pushing the worry away that Masaru's words caused, Lakshmi grabbed one of her robes as she spoke. He seemed to have more to say so she waited before speaking, knowing she would have to wake Kaimu up with her shuffling for clothes if it was too bad.

Still what she heard and what she had been expecting were two very different things. It didn't take a rocket scientist to put two and two together. A shocked yell escaped her before she could cover her mouth. "WHAT?! You did WHAT!?"

She couldn't even process this, now fully intending to leave the bedroom before Kaimu heard anything at all. Oh no. She was in so much trouble.

At the yell, Masaru held the phone away from his ear slightly, a surprised looked crossing his face as he brought it back. "L-Lakshimi! W-We..."

He hadn't expected her reaction to be that strong! Very surprised maybe, but...but still!

"I-I called because we need...help with that."


Another stirred whine came from Kaimu at the sudden yell, pulling him a bit..out his sleep. What...That was Lakshimi, what? Before he'd even opened his tired, sleepy eyes though she'd already left the room.

"Mm...Lak-tan...?" He muttered, but it was to empty air.

Mia winced. Uh oh. She knew why the woman would be so upset... Maybe? I mean her Papa and Lakshmi were friends... Mia might have to explain a bit...later about that. Whoops.

"Yes I heard the first time. Oh no, I am in so much trouble." Lakshmi muttered that to herself, brushing her hair back from her face. She was wide awake now, there was no way she could go back in there and face Kaimu now.

Her voice was one of massive grumpiness, which could be attributed to sleepiness or it could also be attributed to the fact that she was now going to be stuck in the doghouse for weeks. "...You need me to apply preventative measures correct? To prevent a little heir from springing up in nine months... Just both of you get over here right now. I assume this is supposed to be secret since your Elders haven't approved such a union, so showing up in my office tomorrow is out of the question."

"T-Trouble? Why are you in trouble?" Masaru was utterly confused on that end; why would Lakshimi be in trouble when it came to this!?

Still, her words though, along with her grumpy tone had him giving a nod, not that she could see that.

"Y-Yes, that's correct." He replied, "Come over there? Alright..."

It was certainly the best option, if they ended up in her office in the morning that would surely raise a few unwanted flags.

Mia winced again. It sounded like Lakshmi had been asked to keep an eye on her. Whoops. As she heard the words come over there, Mia kissed Masa's body where she could before slipping from his arms. She'd need to get her cloak and get dressed then...

Feeling oddly calm about the whole thing, she just sighed as she slipped from the bed.

"Because her father is currently asleep in my bed, Masabutt." Lakshmi hung up the phone in a frustrated huff, Masabutt would end up coming over no matter what. It wasn't as if they needed directions.

She wished more than anything to slam dunk this stupid phone (and Masabutt's head) into a garbage can but instead she headed back for the bedroom. The medical division Captain would need clothes and she would have to convince Kaimu to stay upstairs somehow. Otherwise things may get messy...

Moving back into the room quietly, Lakshmi headed towards the bed. Her voice was soft as she spoke, regretting having to see if he was asleep or not. "Kai? Did I wake you?"

A shocked yelp of sorts followed Lakshimi's exiting statement. Her...Her father!? He was there!? With Lakshimi!? What!? Oh no...oh no...

After a moment of just sitting there, Masaru put down his phone, placing it back on the table.

"Mm? Lak-tan?" Kaimu's voice was full on sleepy; he'd been sleeping so comfortably, modern beds were not to be taken lightly...

"What was that about? Something wrong?"

Mia glanced up from her getting dressed, confused by the sound Masa made as she slipped a nightgown like dress over her head. "Masa? Is something wrong? What did she say? Y-You should get dressed so we can leave... Its late and we can't keep her up..."

Lakshmi gave Kaimu a sheepish chuckle, though her smile was soft as she sat on the edge of the bed. Her fingers brushed back a bit of hair that was in his face, sleepy Kaimu was so adorable.

She had two options at this point. Tell him the entire truth, or make something small up and convince him to sleep again. Either way would end up with her in trouble...

Sighing, she spoke softly and calmly. "It seems...your daughter and her lover had a little mess up. I am going to solve the problem since they are heading over now, you should get back to sleep Kai."

Having told him the truth, she almost hoped he was too sleepy to realize what she had said and would just fall back asleep. It was a possibility, though a slim one... She wasn't lying to him or hiding things, but it would make their lives easier.

"Sh-She said...that..." Mia had every right to know, it was...her father after all. "She said...she was in trouble because...because your father's there..."

D...Dressed. Right, he needed to get dressed.

He thought that, but still...he sat there a few extra moments before he finally moved. Running a hand through his hair he made his way over to the closet, moving to get dressed in his usual day-off wear.


"Mm...?" What had happened? Daughter...and a...problem? That definitely helped clear his mind, and Lakshimi's words in full started to process.

Mia stopped mid pulling on socks. She turned to stare at Masaru, one leg in the air, shock written across her features. What was her father doing at Lakshmi's house...in the middle of the night...

No... Nooo. She fell onto her butt as she furiously pulled on her socks."Nooo! Papa! You told you me slept with her once and were friends now! Fr-Friends don't sleep together!"

She did not seem to realize what the rest of this would entail. A small purple flame appeared on her head and bounced around.

"Apparently they had sex without protection." Lakshmi tried to look nonchalant but that response from Kaimu didn't bode well for the poor young man on his way.

Two blinks and a what. Oh boy... She sighed. "I will tie you up in this room if I have you Kai, unless you promise to be...good. As in no attempts to kill or maim."

This...They were a thing!? Lakshimi and...and Mia's father!?

It seemed though, the biggest concern of this knowledge wasn't hitting her. They...Well, so much for first impressions...

After getting one of his usual yukatas on, he moved to get his own socks and slip them on. They'd...Get going soon, get this problem fixed...possibly die.


The confirmation didn't help, not at all. He wore a...obviously forced smile, "B-Best behavior...?"

Mia finished getting dressed and stomped around in a little circle. She was SO ANGRY at Lakshmi and Papa for this. What in the world were they doing!?

Her cheeks puffed out in frustration, she looked to see Masa rather...subdued. Blinking for a moment, it hit her that this was probably the worst way for him to learn about and meet the man... Rushing to his side, Mia grabbed the edge of his yukata and tried to give a reassuring smile. "D-Don't worry Masa! Papa is a nice...person... He won't try to hurt you too much I promise!"

"She is an adult, as you keep having to remind yourself. It was obviously consensual." Lakshmi pointed out helpfully. "Mia is shy enough that she trusted him with her like that... so just think of how upset she'll be if you harm one hair on his stupid little head."

"...I said nothing about best behavior. I merely said do not physically harm him." She hated seeing that forced smile on his lips and frowned but there was nothing more she could do to help. It was his precious daughter. He had a right to be a bit worried over this.

Masaru gave a nervous laugh as Mia grasped the edge of his yukata. She couldn't promise, he understood. How her father was reacting or would react to this...

"Ahaa...I'm going to die."


That forced smile remained, even with Lakshimi's words...

Even if...There'd still been a mistake. A huge mistake. A very large mistake...Had they not thought to call Lakshimi...

"I won't lie, Lakshimi...I can't promise one thing." Lock him up in the room, let him out, either way...considering the situation...Kaimu was obviously forcing some of his "calmness."

"I won't let Papa hurt you." Mia nodded forcefully moving to hold Masa in a quick hug. She smiled up at him, sweetly and rather trustingly. She had given him almost every part of her, so she couldn't let Kaimu take him away from her. They had made a mistake and were going to get it fixed, and things would be all right from there.

Thinking about it, they would need to hurry to get there and back... But there was a problem.

"...I don't think I can flashstep. Can you carry me?" Mia felt in her spiritual reserves and the energy was just not there yet. A few hours sleep hadn't restored enough and she was beat red as she made that request... But Masaru could do it easy, he was so strong.

Lakshmi just sighed, running her hands through her hair as she thought over the options. Tying him up with kido so he couldn't do anything would be the safest bet but well he...

"If anything this is my fault. So be angry at me." Moving from the bed, Lakshmi went to her closet to grab something a bit more substantial clothing wise. "I trust you can hold your temper enough to not go for vital spots. If you do though I can heal him up just fine, as long as its not an instant kill. You should put some pants on at least Kai."

"M-Mm." Masaru gave a small nod, giving Mia a small smile as she claimed she wouldn't let anything happen to him.

At her request though, he gave her another nod. That...That wasn't a problem. "That won't be a problem, I can."

That small smile he'd given earlier returned, "Ready now?"

"Mmm..." Kaimu sat there a few moments, wishing he could feel even the least bit bad about his current temper, but unfortunately nothing could be done about it. "I'll be down momentarily then. It might be best to give me a little more cool down time...if you truly don't want any harm done."

"Thank you..." Mia was red but she gave him another smile. Her cloak was settled around her shoulders and she was all set, so giving him a small nod and a deep breath.

"As ready as I can be." Holding up her arms in the classic pose to be picked up, she tried to put on a brave face. This was honestly terrifying. She was going to die.

Lakshmi had pulled on one of her longer nightgowns, pulling its longer robe over her shoulders as she glanced back at the bed.

Moving back to the bed, she sat on the edge and lifted Kaimu's chin up. Stealing a small kiss, she had a slightly wicked smile on her face. "I think he would let you, which is why I am worried, otherwise you would stand no chance against him, love. I will be holding Kurotanchan for the meeting... Take all the time you need."

Slipping off of the bed, she grabbed the sword as her chains swirled up her legs with clinking rattles. She obviously wasn't bothered by his anger and moved to head out of the room.
