Drunken Night Out

"Hmph." His eye had twitched; he wasn't...a...damn...tsundere....God damn it...

With a glance back, he noticed her staring at him. What for? What'd she want now? He clicked his tongue again, before returning his eyes to the wall.

That familiar eye twitch~ Laughing, Selena reached up to Aito's chin and turned it just so, so she could look at him. It seemed he wouldn't ask her anything right now... too pouty.

Well then. Looking into his eyes, she spoke calmly with a bit of her smirk still showing. "You. Are. Mine. I said that earlier~ I meant it. Mine. All mine."

"Gh...h..." Aito's felt his face being turned towards Selena, averting his eyes for a moment before he allowed them to slide back to look Selena in her face. She was still so smug, that damn smirk said so.

Hers? Huh?

"Really now..." Tch.

"Looking at me now? Ohohoho~" Selena picked up the mic, twirling it before holding it out to take. "So now you get to sing for me more. I think I'll be just fine now listening."

She laughed and raised an eyebrow, that smirk permanently stuck to her face for now.

"Tch." And why should he sing again? "Hah? And tell me why I should sing again?"

He wasn't going to fall for that shit, if he sang again she'd just pull something to put herself back on top. So why should he, if he knew that was what she'd do?

"Because I seriously doubt you can make me freak out like that again, no matter how sexy your voice is." Selena pointed out, setting the mic on his lap before she stretched a bit. Leaning back, she picked up the bag of kompeito and opened it. Tossing one in her mouth, she looked at Aito. "...I'm not singing."

"Tch." Again, Aito's eye unconsciously twitch; she... "What? You suck at it? Afraid too?"

She'd claimed she didn't sing, but he could egg her on with this at least; it wasn't like he knew the reason she didn't sing, so it was perfectly fine he question it. "You got a little stage fright~?"

He'd done one song, wasn't that enough for her to count for her little karaoke adventure?

Selena just looked away from him, crossing her arms and tossing another candy in her mouth. "None of the above! I just don't sing."

He was so irritating when he was like this! She had thought she'd snuffed it out earlier but now... At his stage fright comment, she tinted slightly red and looked away. "No! Not even that. Stage fright doesn't bother me one bit!"

"Stage fright." Aito responded simply, a snicker following shortly after. Really, what was so embarrassing about singing? In a room that only involved you and one other person? Seriously, stage fright even when there wasn't a crowd to be afraid of?

"You're practically alone. What's there to be scared of?"

"I-Its not!" Selena's face was red as she set the bag of candy down, scooping up the stupid mic. She grumbled, turning to look at the song offerings. "With your cocky ass, nothing. Nothing at all. Ugh! I'll sing you asshole!"

She lost her temper, picking a song at random. She was not looking at Aito, instead she stood up and moved to the stupid ass stage. Better singing there and she didn't have to be near him while doing this...

The music started and she realized she had heard this song before. Hah!

A bit more confident, her eyes widened as she started singing.

Another snicker escaped as the mic was snatched up. She'd taken the bait, just like that; he'd been able to get under her skin about this so easily. He couldn't help but be amused.

His smirk remained as the song began, and once she began singing, he really had to question on why she was so scared in the first place. Really, that was far from bad, he'd admit that...mentally at least; and here she'd given him wrong assumptions thinking she was a tone deaf fool.

As the last notes of the song died, Selena collapsed to the floor. The anger that had sustained her was gone, embarrassment took its place and she sat there on her legs, setting the mic down carefully before burying her face in her hands.

It was burning red, a beacon between her fingers. She said absolutely nothing to Aito, she was unable to. She was just a ruined mess on the floor, freaking in her head.

And...there was the embarrassment.

Aito watched as Selena collapsed to the floor, hiding her face with her hands.

"I don't really get why you're afraid." Aito said after a couple of moments had passed, leaning back some on the couch after taking a swallow from his drink. "Here you had me believing I'd be seeing four minutes of terrible hilarity when you don't really suck at all....Hmph."

Selena's only response was to fall onto her side and continue to curl up in a ball of embarrassment. If she heard the backhanded compliment, she did not seem to respond to it in any coherent manner.

Aito received no response, and he remained quiet for a bit afterwards, moving to eat some of the kompeito and snack to see if she recovered sometime soon. After a few moments, he glanced over at her again and blinked.

She was that embarrassed over it and she wasn't even a bad singer?

"I thought you said there was nothing to be scared of with just my cocky ass."

Selena rolled on her back, away from Aito. Her curled up form did not move otherwise, nor make a sound. She wanted her pool. She wanted to jump in her pool and be there. She...was going to die at this rate, she couldn't even get angry, the embarrassment was too much.

"Whatever..."

Aito let out a breath as Selena just curled more into herself, wanting to roll his eyes but resisting the urge. While he waited, he continued to snack on some of the kompeito...If he couldn't break that shell of hers with words then he guessed there was nothing to do but wait it out.

If Aito thought he could wait out Selena's embarrassment, he was sadly mistaken. Selena just laid there, curled up and did not move or make a sound. In fact the longer she laid there, the worse she felt in a vicious cycle of utter embarrassment.

The only sound that came from her was her somewhat quick breathing of nerves. Inside her head she just berated herself more but her body wouldn't move or listen.

More time passed, and Selena didn't seem to be near cracking...still...

Aito wasn't the most...patient person, he had a level of patience, but...this was starting to exceed said level. Seriously, how long was she just gonna lay there!?

"Am I going to have to carry you back to the damn hotel?"

There was not a sound, no change in her movements. Nothing.

Inside her head, Selena was screaming at her body and mind to get back to work. She DID NOT want to be carried back to the hotel by that cocky asshole.

No answer.

She was really frozen wasn't she? She hadn't given him a single response. He was really going to have to carry her out of here...

"Alright, I'm getting up."

Selena...moved...slightly. She curled in on herself a bit more and let out a small embarrassed squeak. She was ruined utterly, this had been the most embarrassing thing she had ever done. EVEN more than the throwing herself in her pool fully clothed. Why...why couldn't she get up!?

Aito gathered their things up, positioning them so he could lug both it and Selena back...At least it wasn't a long walk. Once everything was gathered, he moved over to her, squatting down and blinking before he gave her shoulder a poke.

"Last chance." He said, "Am I gonna have to tote you out of here?"

Selena didn't move or respond to the pokes. She was a frigid block of flusteredness that was not fading. Her ruin was complete, there was nothing else in this world worth living for. She would die in this stupid karaoke room. Aito would never care enough to carry her out.

Still no response...Damn, she was really frozen.

With another breath, Aito stuck true to his word, and gathered Selena up. He was really gonna have to carry her all the way back to the hotel.

It was still work and school time for people...right? He figured so, it didn't feel like they'd been here that long...Oh well, whatever, he headed out of the room once he had everything, the employees cleaned everything up, and they'd already paid for the room.

Back to the hotel they went...
