The No Life Queen

I remember the countless hours debating the finer points of who spent too much time on SFAQs. Me and Kat tended to go back and forth quite a bit when you actually looked at the stats at who spent the most time there. True Beo was always the No Life King much to his chagrin. I never really understood why he didn't like the term. I had eventually usurped the throne but by that point the site had pretty much died and being the No Life King of a dead site is kinda like being the most able bodied sloth. Ah well... good ol Nostalgia never fails to give me the warm and fuzzies on a cold night.

you weren't there but at our golden age we got shit done. Everyone was active to a crazy degree. Its hard to pin point when everything went downhill but I believe the start was probably around the Yuh battle with that Deva dude who's name escapes me. That ended up putting a lot of the board in limbo for a long time. It became such a ubiquitous thing that one of the most popular topics at the time was called IC Limbo as we waited for others to finish during the arc.

Then things were ok again for awhile until Pyro's Hell Arc and Shnaks Paladin Arc. The board became active again and I typically call that our silver age but like all arcs they tended to drag and put people in Limbo until we retconned our characters out of it. Around that time I started making arcs just to pass the time. That is what I refer to as the bronze age and I think Sunny you joined at the tail end of that.

After that the board practically fractured in 2 due to the in-fighting that had been building up and took with it many of the most active posters for better or worse. I lost many good friends during that. Afterward everything just grew more stagnant until it all disappeared. A couple years later and here we are

I joined right at the end of the Etna drama. When I joined it was so so on activity, but quickly died.

Yeah, like I said. That really was what probably killed it ultimately. The final stab wound to the heart. We lost Caleb (Mizukage) Maddie (Freya) and Karin (Etna) who were two of our most active. Dominic (Daigo, TMM) became less active after as did I although eventually I came back just as the site was breathing its last breath. Along with those two we lost a few others as well, at least 5 - 7 members overall were lost during that entire thing

Yeah I agree. I admit I miss Daigo/TMM/Dominic and Freya/Maddie the most. They were 2 of my best friends at the time. The former I lost because I became less active and the latter because we had a major falling out over the absolute stupidest of things. If I could I'd apologize to her for my part in it. v_v

Yeah it really is unfortunate that it had to go the way it did. Although the sudden death of the site was probably for the best ultimately instead of letting it stagnate eternally.

I really wish to get more of the older posters here, though its hard .-. We need more people posting! That gets more people to come.
