Aoi Ruins SCIENCE!

"I've...heard of 'm..." Aito replied, his tone dragging out as he looked off to the side at nothing again.

As for Seiya, he let out a small huff of breath before resting his arms on his arms on his desk; a smirk playing on his face again. "I thought I told you last time? She refuses to break, it drew me in...those eyes as well...it's a shame I took one of them away." He gave a small, dismissive shrug. "The drug needed testing though, but it was a failure..."

It'd meant to increase the capabilities of one's sight, but instead it'd blinded one of them instead. It was a surprise she only lost the use of one eye and not both, her...sacrifice though had assisted them in improving the drug.

"The fact she refused to break, no matter what kind of horrible things she went through...it was fascinating. The fire never left those...beautiful eyes of hers. She fought and fought and fought, she refused to succumb to order...but, as you know, I said most of this last time."

Obsession. A sick obsession...

Even Aito, who hated Muika and saw her as an enemy, felt uncomfortable when it came to Seiya's obsession over the girl. Seiya wanted to see how much it took to break the girl and found pleasure in doing so...whatever care he'd shown her had all been a part of his sick little game. Whether he'd toss her aside or take her as his permanent plaything once she finally did break...well, it was unknown to him.

"Aaah! That's good. He's good at writing and lives in this town. You should ask him for autographs if you ever see him, he's really nice!" Aoi giggled more, making sure to not say anything about how close she really was as she poked Aito's head.

As she heard Seiya's words again, Aoi's happiness faded as she carefully tucked Rin's book on Aito's lap and put his hands over it with a pat.

"I wanted to hear it again, just to be sure..." Aoi cutesy, playful expressions she had used the whole time, that veneer of sweet happiness peeling away. Underneath it revealed utter bone chillingly cold, hone by over a century of no feeling. Her dreams last night had been some of the worst she had ever had, in no small part thanks to Muika's story reminding her heart of things.

Her walk her motions, everything altered as if she slipped off a mask that encompassed her whole being. She moved to Seiya, standing in front of him, her blue eyes dark and even colder than her tone. "Its sad and awful you can't see what you've done... She's stronger now, she has people by her side and even taking them away wouldn't do much more than make her angry. I don't think you could break her now, in fact I know it would be impossible."

"She's much stronger than I was. I'm like you Aito, a willing dog... She's too warm to give in." Aoi stared directly into Seiya's eyes, her expression never changing.

Impossible?

Seiya's smirk remained at the word.

"Impossible?" He questioned, raising a brow. "I take that as a challenge. Difficult, likely but impossible? No one is that strong willed...there's always a breaking point. The question is, just how much longer and how much more must she endure before I reach it?"

Another breath, "Are you so sure? If she's found someone to trust...even after I damaged her will to put her trust in others...are you so sure she wouldn't break if those people were to taken from her? She's strong willed, but even she has her limits. Take away the things that give her hope and what is she left with? Her anger? For awhile yes, but eventually that point will be reached...and I'll be there when it does."

Aito remained quiet, choosing not to get in on this particular subject...Aoi really seemed to have faith in that girl but...he had to agree with Seiya. Everyone had a breaking point and if Seiya got his way he'd reach it...

"I don't think you are strong enough to take away even the weakest of her friends from her. That's why its impossible." Aoi pointed out a major flaw in his plan. He'd have to take some away in the first place, and Muika would never let that happen. "Even with help, you may get her captured... But then you'll have me waiting in the rafters for you. You could try to hold me... But it wouldn't work. Aito can touch me, maybe a few others if I am sensing correctly... But hold me? Kill me?"

Her eyes never left Seiya's, a smirk forming. "She's part of my world now. You should let her go and cut your losses... and your obsession. Before it gets you killed, you'll want to enjoy your life... I'm positive the gates of hell will open for you at least."

"Besides, the one she trusts is honestly really cute. She's lucky, not as lucky as me. You are cute in the cold way, he's just pure handsome." Aoi reverted for a brief moment to a grin.

Muika wouldn't let it happen...true, but she couldn't always be around either. They weren't attached at the hip, they had individual lives to live as well as their fairy tale love story they seemed to have going.

Also true...The shinigami was an obstacle, but he wouldn't just give up. It wasn't in his character to do so. He was damned, he already knew this. The moment he began his research he knew this...It was a dangerous yet exciting life.

Aoi seemed intent on irking him with this other person, but again...seeing him irritated was what she wanted and he wouldn't give her that so easily.

"I sense you are grumpy, but not showing it. Its rather... obvious when you don't react you care the most or are the most annoyed. How old are you anyways? You can't be more than...forty-five? Humans are so hard to figure out the ages of." Aoi pondered it for a bit, her eyes and posture still cold and way more adultlike than she had been before.

Turning slowly as if something came to her, Aoi's face and tone warmed slightly, though her mannerisms were unchanged. If before she had acted her apparent age by looks, now she seemed to have aged to that of a grown woman. "...Aito, do you want to come with me?"

"If you must know I'm thirty-three." Her assumption hadn't been wrong she'd just been a few years off, still, he didn't see his age as much importance. It was a simple answer. When she questioned Aito, his eyes glanced over at the other male; not saying a word.

"..." Aito was quiet for a moment, before once again averting his eyes. "Tch...I'm not a child."

Go with her? He didn't need to be drug around...he was in his twenties, he'd outgrown the need of some guardian or whatever it was she was trying to be...

"I'm two hundred and some. You are all children to me in some ways." Aoi nodded at Aito's age, thinking for a second as she turned away from Seiya, moving to Aito's front.

"Just like I accept Muika's pride and revenge... I'll accept yours if its what you really want. You ARE an adult, I'm just offering you a hand in getting free... You can wash your hands of me entirely if you want after." Aoi smiled softly, hold out her hand just a bit... She wouldn't be upset if he turned her down, but she wouldn't offer again. He could accept now or ask later, but she would do her damnedest to see him safe if thats what he desired. "I'm sorry if I've been treating you too badly Aito. Its just fun for me, though most don't tell me to stop."

Seiya gave a small shrug at Aoi's response, his expression composed.

Aito glanced at the hand Aoi offered, his expression troubled despite trying to hide it. This wasn't the ideal place...certainly not the ideal life...but in the end it was all he knew. Aoi could assure an escape for him...he knew that but...

He turned away again, trying to keep the frown off his face. It wasn't something he could just accept...What would he do with freedom anyway? What even was a life after this? Muika had apparently figured that out...but even she still had her problems, was struggling...

Aoi's smile was sad as she nodded, bending down and kissing Aito softly. He'd think she was treating him like a child if it was on the forehead or cheek, though her kisses meant nothing other than comforting in this context. "I was taken away against my will from my...colleagues. I was their pet killer, the one who'd do whatever was asked. I understand it's hard.. You'll have to ask though next time if you want to... This was a one time free pride-intact offer~"

"Can I have my book back? I'd rather not have to get another signed and I really should go soon. I need to go talk with Muika, tell her all that went on." Aoi yawned a bit, glancing at the mess she made on the desk too. "Also to find out if they actually used those condoms I helped her buy. Heheh."

Just like with the embraces, Aito tensed at the kiss. It wasn't his first but it hadn't been expected. Turning away, with the same troubled expression he handed Aoi her book when she pulled away.

So she was going to tell Muika of this...? Seiya supposed it was to be expected, as the two girls were apparently friends.

Both men however grimaced at the condom comment, Seiya out of annoyance and Aito strictly because he didn't want to know. He'd poked fun at her earlier but it wasn't like he wanted details.

Aoi accepted the book and headed to her bag, starting to fill it back up with all the things she had taken out to get to the presents. The two men's grimaces didn't go unnoticed, though Seiya's was immensely more amusing. "What? It really bothers you knowing she wants another? What did you expect? Her to want you forever? You made a bad judgement call, if you had been smart you would have tempted her into loving you like that instead of just taking it. Even if you didn't care, getting her to love you would have had you a loyal bodyguard and subject. Either you get them so young they don't know anything better and can be molded to what you want... Or you make them love you obsessively."

"It annoys you to know someone else will be touching something you think of as your own." Her tone was cold and she didn't laugh this time, in fact she didn't even look at Seiya as she finished organizing her bag.

Seiya's grimaced twitched slightly, becoming deeper before it returned to give the appearance of only slight annoyance. He was silent for a good while before letting out a breath, "My annoyance now isn't for naught...just imagine how she'll be when she loses it, when it's ripped from her very grasp..."

Love? Even if it wasn't mutual it wasn't something he was looking for. When she fought him...that was what he wanted. He enjoyed her struggles, enjoyed watching the seemingly unbreakable shatter...

"...If you were an especially smart human or especially evil one I might be worried. But considering your mediocre planning and carry through so far I'd say the odds are kind of in her favor." Aoi snorted her disbelief. "You really should pick up something called the evil overlord handbook. It might help you a bit! Its honestly got lots of useful advice in it."

"Bye Ai-Ai, if you see me around town feel free to say hi! We could get lunch or go to a book store or something." Aoi winked cheerfully, slipping the bag over her shoulder. "Its my town, I watch over it so I'm here a lot. I'll be sure to say hi if I see you too Seiya."

Leaving out her human lover that was another reason she spent most of her free time in addition to watching it, she headed for the door... Before realizing she probably would need to be escorted. The layout of the place was imprinted in her head, she could definitely leave... but the guards and cameras...

When she stood to leave, approaching the door, Aito stood and wordlessly followed. He'd need to escort her out. He glanced back at Seiya who hadn't responded to Aoi's parting words, he was sitting there with his usual composed expression.

"I have to escort you out." Aito said, turning back towards Aoi as he opened the door for them to leave.

"Now I get to say bye twice." Aoi wrapped her arm around Aito's, smiling up at the man. She'd let him lead her out, she wanted to talk to him alone for a bit anyways. Maybe he'd be more open without Seiya there?

In any case she wasn't letting him go until he followed her.

"Mm" Aito's response wasn't much more than a small grunt at her words as he walked out of the office with her, leading her towards the door where she could leave. The atmosphere to him felt a bit lighter, still tense due to the monitoring and Aoi but without Seiya it felt at least twinge lighter...which for now, was enough.

"Mmm." Aoi mmed back at Aito, nodding in fake solemnity. She followed him rather quietly, figuring he was silent for a reason... Though he seemed to feel a bit better? Maybe it was her projecting, but he wasn't going tch and making faces.

He also wasn't trying to pull away from her. Maybe once they were outside he'd talk to her... Probably not but she could hope.

The doors were in sight and when they finally reached them he was relieved. The doors were open and he walked Aoi outside, the doors closing behind the two of them until Aito was ready to head back inside.

"There, you're outside." He stated, his hands going in his pockets as he huffed.

"I am and so are you. Come with me for a bit!" Aoi tugged on Aito's arm gently, looking up at him with her patented puppy dog eyes. She blinked and they watered a bit, she was the epitome of sad and wishful at this moment.

What was she...He couldn't just come and go as he pleased! He was expected to go back inside once she left. "I can't just leave. I can't leave unless I've been sent out to track."

Which he hadn't...It was his job to escort her out and then go back inside...

"Mm, okay then. I understand, I'm sorry I created such a problem for you..." Aoi smiled a bit sheepishly, ruffling her hair. Reaching up with a finger, she booped his nose. "I meant what I said though. Remember!"

Turning around, she waved over her shoulder. "'Bye now Aito~"

"Mm. Yeah..." Aito averted his eyes after she'd booped his nose, lifting his hand unconsciously to wave back as he turned but stopping himself; glancing at his hand as if it were alien to him. "Ch..." Putting down his hand, he turned away as Aoi walked off, heading back through the doors as she left.
