Only Losers Get Sick

"Did you...want me to?" Mia brought up a spoonful and took a bite herself. She had gotten a big bowl for a reason... Taking another spoonful for him, she held it up to his mouth with a red face...

If he wanted her to even now... The movie in the background hit a song and Mia sang along softly under her breath.

"Y...You're just worried about me getting too tired, I...I understand so..."

He was too caught up in trying to explain himself, and how he understood that she was concerned for him that he didn't notice Mia taking her own bites from the soup.

If he had he'd probably voice the concern of her getting sick...

As she held another spoonful to him, he leaned forward again like last time before eating the spoonful.

"...A-And...you look...cute when I do this..." Mia was unable to lie or not speak the entire utter truth around him, her face flushing more as she pulled the spoon back to get him more.

She had to look at him, because feeding him required it but it wasn't helping the flush.

His face already felt hot, but now it felt hotter...

She thought...

Masaru attempted to beat down the flustered feelings that had flared up at her words; she thought he looked cute when she did...did this? He mostly failed to beat down those feelings, but he was at least able to push himself to eat more.

Mia kept feeding Masaru, even as she tried to fight the red face. She would glance away when he took a bit and just..she felt bad but she wanted to explain!

"Y-You...I like when you...rely on me...and...you are letting me... help you lots right now... Even when you don't...try to you try to hide...weakness...from me... so..." Mia murmured, having to stop feeding him for the moment to explain because her eyes won't let her look at him.

"A...Ah...I-I'm relieved it's not...burdensome...i-if it makes you happy then...then I don't mind..."

If she liked when he relied on her...when it was necessary. like...like now, then...he would, even if he got flustered...

Mia looked back at Masaru and went back to feeding him with a small, silent nod. Just a bit more and she could let him rest, he needed nutrients to stay strong.

She liked being helpful and useful to him, and right now he... Mia heard another song, singing along again softly without even thinking about it...

Masaru ate a few more bites of the soup as Mia offered them to him, but after the most recent he let out a small breath, "I think...that's enough food for me...thank you, though."

He'd eaten an alright amount in his opinion, and he felt like he'd had enough for now.

Mia had been singing songs from the movie, it was nice, it was nice to hear her sing...

Mia nodded, smiling and set the spoon in the bowl. There was enough left for her, especially with the rolls and she set it on the table. "L-Let me move the pillows then so you can rest."

She reached out to help him lay back down so the man could fall asleep again, setting them aside as she did so. Her blush had faded a bit before she looked to the side... "U-Um...if you end up...again on me...its...its fine. You can...if its comfortable...Y-You don't have to but if it...helps... or you just wanted to..."

Masaru nodded, leaning forward some so Mia could move and situate the pillows properly, moving to lie down with her help after she'd finished with the pillows.

He would have shut his eyes and tried to sleep immediately, but Mia's words stopped him. If he ended up...

"Th...I...That just....h-happens..." He moved in his sleep, he had no control over it!

"I-I...see..." Mia was flustered, blushing and looking away but she still spoke her mind. "E-Even so... if you do...its...its fine. I-If you did...want too...its...fine..."

"Sleep well..." She leaned over and tucked him in, kissing his cheek softly before she moved off of the bed. Grabbing the soup bowl and her rolls, she moved to the other side of it where she would be staying. She...should maybe sleep in another room but... she wanted to be here for him if he needed anything. Mia crawled back onto the bed and situated herself with the pillows after setting the soup to the side for a moment. Then she snuggled up a bit and ate her own dinner for now, glancing down at Masaru occasionally.

It...It just happened! Still...it was...good she didn't mind, since...since he moved unconsciously in his sleep...

When she told him to sleep well, he gave a small nod; "I will..." Masaru replied, a bit sleepily as he got comfortable and finally shut his eyes. It didn't take long for him to fall into a light sleep, snuggled up against his pillow and under the blankets as Mia ate her dinner and kept an eye on him.

Mia smiled softly as she watched Masaru fall asleep again, finishing up the soup and rolls and feeling content... The movie made her smile, singing along at parts as she relaxed and made sure Masaru was deeply asleep.

She should shower though or bathe. Giving a soft kiss to Masaru, she slipped from the bed and left the room after shutting off the movie for now. He'd probably sleep better in silence and if she wasn't in there there was no reason for it or the TV to be on. Closing the door behind her, she headed to bathe for now.

Kaimu had recently finished with his own shower, both Lakshmi and Nozomi having bathed already and crashed shortly after. A small towel hung around the back of his neck as he brought a part of it up to the side of his head as he walked down the hall, dressed in one of his usual yukatas.

He wasn't particularly tired yet, so he'd decided to stay out of any sleeping robes for now. Until he felt tired enough he'd probably find something to do to relax, get a snack or something later if he felt hungry...

"Oh, Papa!" Mia heard the sound of someone in the hallway as she stepped out, turning to see her father looking nice and clean. She smiled warmly and promptly forgot about her own thoughts of showering for now as she rushed to his side.

"Not in bed yet?" Looking up at the taller man, she laughed lightly. It'd been a bit since she'd seen him and other than a few meetings here and there their schedules hadn't sync up enough for more than short visits.

"Hn?" Kaimu looked up at hearing Mia's voice just in time to see her approach him, he gave her a smile before a light chuckle escaped him. "Not yet, I'm not really that tired at the moment so I thought I'd let Lak-tan, and Zomi-tan sleep."

"Do you need company then? Masa's asleep again, I got him to take the children's medicine!" A happy victory, since Kaimu had helped her earlier she knew he would accept it as such... Still, she was more than pleased to spend time with Kaimu if he was up for it!

She'd wanted to ask him a few things too...

"It'd be nice." Kaimu answered; if Mia wanted to spend some time with him then he was definitely not against that, it'd been awhile since they'd really had a nice conversation, or spent time together, most of the time they'd been caught up in other things...

His expression brightened some when she mentioned she'd gotten the noble to take the medicine, even if it had been children's medicine. "That's really good, he didn't put up too much of a fight?"

If she'd gotten him to take it willingly then that was really good. Though he doubted after that first time Shirakawa would put up as big of a fight if the two had spoken...

"Then I will." Mia just grinned, intending to follow Kaimu around like a little baby duckling again. She reached over and grabbed him yukata sleeve a bit shyly, even though she could speak without stuttering right now did not mean she was not a little nervous.

Shaking her head, she smiled softly at the floor. "It helped that it didn't taste awful, so he took it willingly once I let him taste it. He didn't like it but...he did take it. I got him to eat some soup too and drink lots of water."

"Mm, you are good when you are sick I hope?" Laughing, she looked up with a slightly tinted face. "Otherwise Lakshmi will strangle you huh?"

"That's good." It hadn't tasted good, but it was tolerable it seemed; it was a relief to hear she'd gotten him to take it without much of a fuss.

As for Mia's next question; "I'm fine when I'm sick, it's rare that I even catch colds really...but if I need to take something I'll take it." That or just tough it out, but most of the time he had what he needed...

Still, at the mention of Lakshmi in that manner he had to give a laugh. It was good he was behaved then~

Mia nodded, it was really good. She had gotten him to take it... Still she giggled softly as Kaimu answered her teasing. "Same with me... I have a really strong immune system!"

She wanted to ask more things...and took a breath and looked up. He was her father, she could ask these... "How are you doing? Is everything at work doing well? How... is adjusting?"

She worried over him, wondering how it was for him here now. He could see them but was he happy like this? She reached up and twined her fingers between a long bit of hair hanging over her shoulder.

Kaimu smiled a bit brighter at hearing that, she had a strong immune system...

"I've been doing alright, it kinda feels like a weights off my shoulders now...as for work it's going just fine." He answered; Mia probably worried about him all things considered... He was doing well though in his opinion, he was happier now.

"..." Mia stared up at him, waiting for more details with a patient smile. A happy smile, a I will wait here forever for him to speak more on things without asking smile. She wanted to learn more about Papa's life and how he was doing, and she was willing to wait for it since he had spoken so little about things.

It seemed his previous statement wasn't exactly enough...though, he hadn't said much to begin with, only giving a straight answer. It was obvious she wanted more than that.

"With work...I'm mostly handling it how I did the same as before, though obviously working in Fourth is different than working in the Ninth." He added with a small chuckle, "I've been adjusting fine from my point of view...though, I never imagined living in a home as big as this one...I don't even think I've been in all the rooms yet..."

He'd explored some...

"I bet! I can't imagine working around all those people all the time. But you are a cheerful person and really strong, so I bet its not too hard for you. My Papa is amazing~" Mia smiled and blushed, her head tilting as she did so. It was such an innocent proclamation, not fit for a grown woman perhaps... But... She always, always wanted a father. Someone else...someone who was reliable and who she could count on.

Looking around, she laughed a bit sheepishly and nodded. "Its um...something huh. How is it so large... I didn't think they made houses this big... I thought I saw a pool too... Masa's main house is large but this?"

This sort of extravagance was weird but...it was what Kaimu deserved in Mia's eyes. Even IF she was still a bit annoyed by the whole situation...
