Only Losers Get Sick

"L...Lak-tan..." Eventually though, despite his mutterings he gave a nod and let Lakshmi pull him off, though, really...it wasn't like he could fight her pulling anyway.

Nozomi followed the two to the bedroom, almost wanting to laugh at Kaimu; she didn't know what he was so concerned about but he seemed to be acting silly. When he walked into where Masaru and Mia where he'd just stood frozen at the doorway. He could have come inside...

"Nozomi can you get your bathing suit on yourself? I need to make sure Otou-san has all the stuff he needs to swim. I can't remember if we got him a swimsuit or not!" Lakshmi lied with a soft smile, intending to drag Kaimu to the bedroom and speak with him a bit in there while they changed. If the girl was capable she felt okay leaving her to get dressed while they did that.

"Mhmm!" Nozomi replied, "I can!"

Saying that, Nozomi ran back to the room that she would be staying in to get changed.

Kaimu gave no more responses as Lakshmi brought him into the bedroom, he just wanted to sit down for a minute, then he'd get dressed and then there could be swimming, yes.

Waving to the girl, they made it to the bedroom a few seconds after and the Captain closed the door behind them.

While Kaimu sat, Lakshmi moved to the bed, fell face first onto it and then burst into laughter. Uncontrollable, happy and amused laughter.

Kaimu didn't have much time after Nozomi had left to sit in silence before Lakshmi began laughing, causing a surprised reaction from him. He...he knew she'd been holding her amusement in, but...but-!

"Laaaak-tannn!" This entire sick day...ruining him...

Lakshmi pushed herself off of the bed and moved to her closet, holding her side and wincing slightly as she kept laughing to herself. "S-Sorry Kai, but from my point of view this is really really funny. Your overprotective urges and jealousy is really cute~"

Winking, she opened the door and moved to get their swimsuits out while still chuckling.

Kaimu gave a small whine at that, muffled due to his mouth being shut as he pouted, a cheek puffing up at Lakshmi's words. His eyes returned to her as she moved, keeping up his pout as she moved to get swimsuits.

It wasn't that funny...

Grabbing both of them as they were already out, Lakshmi left the closet to see Kaimu's puffed cheek... Letting out a happy laugh, she dropped them to the floor and ran over to him. Pulling him to her chest, she crawled onto his lap and nuzzled his head. "You are the cutest... And also the silliest. Your jealousy is quite becoming... Is it merely because he was in her heart first and you worry over being replaced or kept out if she loves him and is with him?"

"Hmmmph..." That reasoning... There...there was a difference between fathers and...and boyfriends! Those were different categories entirely! Though...

Kaimu's cheek deflated as she continued nuzzling him, his arms having gone around her as she crawled onto his lap.

"Am I right? What is really bothering you about this Kaimu if not that?" Lakshmi's voice was soft, the teasing gone now. She wanted to help even if she did find the whole situation hilarious beyond reasoning. She would still exploit it for her amusement, yes but she also didn't want Kaimu too upset either.

"I almost feel upset you get so jealous over her affections and not mine."

"Dunno....sometimes my worries can be stupid..." Kaimu admitted; sometimes they could be, he was well aware of that. "Usually people of that age...don't really have that big of a need for their parents anymore, they're grown up...It's not a bad thing though, but I guess I regret not...being able to help Mia grow up, I had no way of knowing about her but..."

He gave a small, sheepish laugh after admitting that, and his hand would probably be moving to scratch the side of his mouth if he weren't still being held to Lakshmi, but he resisted the urge.

Though at Lakshmi's last words...

"Hmmmmph...I do to a little bit..." He just held it back and put it all into his pouting!

"I do not think they are stupid..." Lakshmi murmured, feeling a bit bad for laughing so much now. He was having problems adjusting and she just laughed at them... It was funny, yes but also something that hurt him.

Pulling his hair tie out, Lakhmi ran her hand through his hair in a soothing manner she knew he liked while she held him to her chest. "I think she needs you a lot more than you think. She's still learning so much...and she craves your approval much like a child does too. She wants you to be proud of her, even in this."

Knowing the situation, what had happened to the pair...she wondered if she would ever forgive the airheaded mother of Mia's and figured she might not... "...You still blame yourself for not being there for her when she needed you the most. And...you wanted to be able to see her as a cute child, calling you Papa and hugging you, And showing you all the little paintings she drew of the two of you together..."

"...Really?" Lakshmi's voice was soft and surprised. She hadn't...thought he did... that much at least...

"I had no way of knowing...I know, I still sometimes think like that though..." Kaimu continued, "Maybe you're right though..."

Whatever he was needed for he'd definitely be around now, he could promise that much...

When she questioned his jealousy streak, he glanced up at her slightly; "I just convert it to pouts~"

Plus, as a captain of course she would socialize, not for anything beyond a work relationship or friendship now but...of course he got a little grumpy...

"You just need reminders... So let me remind you, just tell me when you feel like that." Lakshmi felt she was right but it was good to have Kaimu confirm her thoughts. She would have to let Mia know as well, the woman would be the one best suited to confirming those feelings and thoughts...

Lakshmi was too busy nuzzling to see the glance, though she froze solid. He really...she had thought but hearing it was another thing entirely. Her face darkened in a flush, her voice coming out softly. "But you told me that was not jealousy... Kaaai! You could convert it to more productive things instead of pouts...though they are cute..."

Now Lakshmi's tone was pouty, just a bit.

Kaimu gave a single nod, he'd...try to if he felt that way at least. He sometimes needed reminders, he knew that...so he'd try to tell her when he began feeling like that...

His puffed cheek returned for a short moment, "I said it wasn't because I don't wanna seem too clingyyy, Lak-tannn!"

"...I admitted I get jealous to you..." Lakshmi murmured, that same dark color that meant she was blushing. "I do sometimes when some of my squad flirt with you... I know you will never do anything... But it still makes me want to rush up to you and proclaim that you are mine and they are not to touch."

"I...do not think you are clingy in the least. I am the clingy one Kai, even though you and Mia's mother do not care for each other I still might get overly jealous if you two were to meet again. Or any of your other lovers in fact..." She laughed softly, worrying over his response but admitting this all to him so he did not worry over her. "I am sorry..."

"I'm all your's now~ Though I can understand your feelings." Kaimu replied, offering a softer smile, "It's perfectly alright."

They both got jealous on the occasion then. Nothing wrong with that.

"Ehh~ If you did that though at the squad I wouldn't be able to resist proving your statement, it would be too cute~!"

"I-I know you are mine...my heart just...is ridiculous." Lakshmi felt better for Kaimu's words and his smile eased her just a bit, her smile returning because when Kai smiled she couldn't help but do so as well. Both of them were... a bit clingy then... and so it was fine.

The flush that was fading returned in full force, her voice spluttering for a second before she could once again grasp speaking. "K-Kai you can't do that! Y-You...that would..."

Letting out a high pitched embarrassed sound, Lakshmi's hand went to her face as she imagined what exactly the man would do...

A few chuckles escaped Kaimu as Lakshmi became flustered; of course he would prove her statement true~ She was imagining it, wasn't she~? She was awfully flustered by the statement...

That thought passing through his mind he gave another light laugh.

"It would only be right for me to do so though~"

No no no no! Lakshmi had thought of a few things, all of which left her flustered beyond belief. Kaimu's laugh didn't help any nor did his words. It wouldn't be right! It would be wrong to... No would it be right?

He should... make sure... for her...

"K-Kaimu! Y-You...can't do things like that..." Lakshmi's voice was soft and defeated, there was no heart in her denial. He could and would do things like that, she had no doubt and it made her happy even as it flustered her.

Lakshmi sounded defeated, her voice soft, and Kaimu gave a small grin; he would definitely prove her statement true if she ever told others that~! There was no doubt in his mind he would!

Leaning up slightly, he moved to give her a short kiss before his smile brightened, obviously happy.

Lakshmi was still quite flushed as she returned that short kiss, but she just laughed lightly and shook her head. Kaimu's bright smile was all she needed, her voice becoming much more sure of itself though still with a hint of fluster. "If it makes you smile like this, then you are allowed."

Moving on his lap, she let go just a bit to slide back and potentially off of him while her smile grew. "We should get ready before your new daughter wonders why it is taking us a while to get ready."

A happy, pleased sound escaped from Kaimu at Lakshmi's permission, "Thaaank you~"

Lakshmi was right though, they should be getting ready, though he couldn't help but chuckle again as she referred to Nozomi like that to him.

"Right, right." He gave a small nod, moving to stand once Lakshmi was off of him enough to do so, though he still held onto her to help her stand as well.

"W-Welcome." Lakshmi was never going to be her lovely golden brown again, she was fated to be flushed. Kaimu was too precious, her smile growing even as she had to look away.

Kaimu's hold held her up as she slowly lowered her legs and slid down his body slightly. Lakshmi sighed, not wanting to be out of his arms but knowing she must and thus she stepped back and broke his hold. Moving to the dropped bathing suits, she moved to strip her clothes off and get her own suit on. She'd have to put her hair up too...

Kaimu followed Lakshmi some to get his swimsuit on, disrobing from his usual attire before quickly slipping into the trunks. His hair was already tied, as it usually was, so there was no worry about getting it settled or anything.

Lakshmi's....

"Lak-tan, do you need any help with your hair?" It was incredibly long, so she'd probably need to situate one way or another...
