Curiosity Killed No One [nsfw]

Saraiyu had some free time, was bored and had a few burning thoughts and questions. None of these would lead to happy things for anyone really, but she did not care. She wanted to meet this random person who two of her Arrancar had talked of. A Shinigami, formerly a Rogue apparently as she had quickly found out.

Putting together Elly's story plus Esmers comments, she had quickly ascertained his position and placement in the Shinigami ranks. Sarai in her infinite wisdom then decided to show up unannounced, and thus now sat in the Captain's office in the Captain's chair.

In her usual uniform of slightly see through floofed pants, bikini style top and her many many bells that jingled with her every movement, she spun slightly in the spinny chair she had found there. Or brought, she couldn't remember. She had effortlessly disguised herself though! A large black floppy sun hat and sunglasses on top of her robed white uniform...

No one would think she was the Corona now. She even had her spiritual pressure down enough~ Now to wait. Impatiently... Did the Captain have a stapler she could mess with? Elly had taught her a trick to them...

Kaimu headed towards Lakshmi's office, a bunch of papers in his arms; all he needed to do was leave these papers on her desk, whether she was in there or not it wasn't of any importance, these documents could be looked at whenever.

He held his usual happy smile on his face as he rounded a corner, approaching the office in mind shortly after though...

...what he saw there was not what he expected.

"Uwaa!" A small sound of surprise escaped him; there...someone was in here? Without Lakshmi? She was dressed... "A...Aha...Is there anything I can help you with?" Kaimu asked, his smile returning though a bit sheepish as he gave a small laugh.

Were they lost...? It...It didn't seem like it...

As she heard a voice, Sarai stopped her search for the stapler that should have been there but was oddly missing. Who didn't have a stapler on a desk?! Blinking, she leaned back in her spinny chair and put her feet on the desk. Steepling her hands, her eyes narrowed though it was invisible behind her sunglasses. "Yes, yes you can. I believe you are the one they call..."

...What was the name again? "...Kamui."

She tapped her steepled fingers together, nodding. Crossing the feet on the desk, she eyed the man very very curiously. He was a pretty man, very pretty. Tallish, not enough for her tastes though. Those eyes though were niiiice. Elly had had sex with that? "Tell me, Kamui, do you know why I am here?"

"That's...Actually..." This woman was looking at him with...rather strong curiosity. Was she actually looking for someone named Kamui and mistaken him, or did she actually mean him...considering his name was Kaimu it was extremely likely...

"Eh...?" Why she was here...? He blinked before...right! He should probably introduce himself properly before trying to...answer(?) her question...

Giving a polite bow, he gave another smile, friendlier than his last sheepish one, "My name is actually Kaimu Miura, M'am; ah...I'm afraid I'm unsure though...I apologize."

Why was she here and why should he be able to answer that!?

Reaching up one hand, she slid the glasses down her nose and caused jingles from her nose and mouth chains. Sarai's striated eyes stared out at Kamui, he seemed confused and concerned? He bowed to her, which she took in stride and waved her other free hand as he did so. "I see, I suppose it was easy to mishear such a name. Elly told me a bit about you so I was curious... and when Esmer brought you up again I knew I should go see such an interesting Shinigami."

Her feet slipped off of the desk as she stood, standing to her full height that matched his and moving to examine him. She pulled the sunglasses off, sliding them into a pocket in her robe as she circled him amidst her jingles. Teal hair fell around her, curling and in large waves as she tilted her head from side to side. "Not that tall really, too skinny... Interesting eyes and the hair color is vibrant... Maybe it was the rogueness? I wonder what she wanted with you really..."

Hearing Elly mentioned had his attention, so this woman was in relation to her... His thoughts though as he wondered the relation were halted though as the woman stood and began...circling him.

Kaimu blinked; what...He wasn't underweight or anything, and for a male he was a decent height...he thought so anyway...

He...He needed to remain respectful though, even if he felt he was being disrespected...I-It wouldn't do any good to retort such things on the job... No matter how much he wanted to revert to his usual personality and give a pouty retort...

"A pretty man. A Pretty Boy." Sarai sighed out that final verdict, disappointed and sounding much like it. She waved her hand, stopping her gave him one final up and down glanced from the front as she stood a bit in front of him.

Leaning back on her heels, she cupped her chin in her hand. Her voice was confused and wondering as she spoke almost to herself. "I guess those ladylike looks have their merits if you stole the Medical Captain from poor Esmer. I didn't think anyone could once that woman put her mind to it. Still, stealing Setsuna's child from Esmer after getting dumped by Elly for her cute little plus soul... Kind of mean wouldn't you say? And how did you end up here in the first place?"

This wasn't... This wasn't right at all! His urge to give a sudden retort was strong, very strong, but he held in his usual tone and such... Even if he was being incredibly disrespected...this environment...

"Lakshmi asked me if I wanted a relationship...at first, considering my position as a rogue, didn't think I would be good for her, no matter my feelings, but hearing Lak-t...Lakshmi out my doubts diminished, that's how we happened...As for Elly I helped her with a hollow problem, and a possible relationship was spoken of, but overall things didn't work out...What matters is that she's happy now, and she is, hn?"

W...Why was he suddenly put as the "bad" guy!? He always put his feelings second! He always thought about the other person first! He hadn't stolen Lakshmi at all, and at least with Elly things hadn't ended bitterly!

"No no I mean HERE. You were pardoned? Maki is much softer than I expected, but I suppose it must not have been something bad. I just kill those who leave. Well not all of them, if I give permission it is fine." Sarai sighed more, her hand waving off Kaimu's explanation. She didn't care about his little drama stories.

Though she raised an eyebrow and looked down her nose at Kaimu. "She is rather happy, she likes teaching the woman about the new fascinating things to be found. Oh! I remember now! Gingerbuns."

Clapping her fist to her hand, a happy expression of remembrance came over her. Kaimu's name did not matter because Gingerbuns was what she was supposed to call him! "Yes I remember your name!"

Just as he was connecting the hints and pieces of this woman's identity, that...that damn name stopped him, a small noise of sorts escaped him. Only one woman called him that and that... Oh no...

"That...I-If you would mind, please...That is not a nick name I am exactly happy about...It can be quite...quite bothersome..." Did this woman want him to lose it!? Obviously she was a powerful figurehead, but really! She was doing this on purpose!

He was trying to be respectful and polite here!

He had a bit of a grip on the documents still in his arms, not having sat them down yet due to getting caught up in...well, this...

Sarai watched the shinigami try to speak and failing, a small frown forming on her lips as he seemed to take offense. Reaching out with one hand, her finger placed itself lightly on Gingerbuns' lips as she silenced him. "Shhhh. Shhhh, it is okay Gingerbuns. It is the name bestowed upon you by the one my Fraccion cares for. It is a high honor, you should accept it for what it is."

Nodding solemnly, she lowered her hand and crossed her arms. Yes, quite an honor.

That name was ridiculous and stupid and embarrassing and many other things! It was no honor, not one at all! This was torture, having to silence himself like this...it was pure torture...

Was he actually annoyed? Insulted, for sure, was he annoyed now though...he felt he close to feeling that way. This...Why did he have to put up with this!?

"Oh! Excuse me. " Sarai blinked as if entirely unaware of the man's obvious discomfort and upset state. Smiling a bit, she turned around and moved to the desk. Bending down, she stole a nice pen and a sheet of paper and wrote a note on it.

[To: Lakshmi the Medical Division Captain. From: Saraiyu the Corona

Please forgive Gingerbuns' lateness, he was answering some questions and fulfilling my rather disappointed curiosity. Please give my regards to that shy yet good dancer cousin thing of yours, Masaru? I think.]

Signing it, she turned around and held it out. He would have to set those documents down but she would wait. "Here, I wrote you an excuse slip so you do not get in trouble with your Captain."

Kaimu was silent, completely silent as Saraiyu excused herself to write a note, his eyes glancing over to the paper as she wrote.

Moving to set down the documents, he accepted the note, giving a small nod at the woman's words. That...He was mentally seething and screaming at that damn nickname. He had to give this...to Lakshmi!?

Well, he guess he'd have to give her a warning then as well... Calling him that would result in him barricading himself on the complete opposite side of home to give him time to seeth...

Well...He hoped just telling her, after she'd read it, that such a nickname upset him and that he wished she never called him as such, that should be enough...he hoped. If not, then plan B.

"Make sure you deliver that promptly. Should I go with you to make sure? I should give my condolences to Setsuna's child... Maybe I could ask her in person what she sees in you that Elly obviously didn't?" Saraiyu's voice went from slightly chiding to softly musing, her eyes going to the ceiling... well the brim of her hat really as she looked up.

"It is a mystery to me. Maybe the girl likes lady-men?"

She had to be doing this on purpose...had to be.

"I...I hold my duty in high regards, you're message will me delivered with no trouble, I assure you..." She didn't need to go with him! He could hardly take any more of this! He just wanted to leave!

His loyalties may lie in his loved ones only, not exactly the Seireitei itself, but...to be with said loved ones he needed to show that he took his pardoning and now duty seriously...so that was what he was doing...no matter how insulted, disrespected, and even slightly angry he was...

His looks were perfectly fine, damn it!

"You hold your temper well. How interesting, even as your eyes burn with such volatile emotions. Its a pity." Saraiyu smiled, a shark-like one as she reached out and fluffed up the hair oh so nicely pulled back properly on the man.

"Don't worry, I wouldn't kill you if you had snapped, Gngerbuns. You are a friend of Elly and her sweetheart, at worst I would temporarily maim you." She nodded with that predatory grin still, the mischievous light in her eyes finally showing. A garganta opened up as she slipped her glassed back on.

"I may or may not see you again... I will have to meet with that Captain though, I am seriously curious now... Maybe she has a knight complex? Elly did always like to be showered in love, but protecting is something she is good at..."

Musing to herself, she walked towards the portal as if having forgotten Kaimu's existence.

Kaimu silently hoped she wouldn't be seeing him again, he didn't want to see her again, ever...He already felt a headache coming on from everything he'd been holding back.

He'd been having a nice day, a nice one! Then...

As she disappeared into the garganta, Kaimu was quiet for a moment before he took a long, deep breath...

It didn't help.

He'd give this to Lakshmi, give her that warning about that damn nickname, and the very moment he could get the hell out of here he was just going to go somewhere....anywhere and just let it out...vent to himself...anything...

He was heavily annoyed, a bit angry, not...something he wanted to put on Lakshmi or even Mia...

Lakshmi hoped Kaimu had delivered those documents, finally finishing her report on the surgery that morning. It had been an annoying one, but not tough. Daiji was a good hand and quick with his response times, Lakshmi had been leaning on the young man more lately as well as Kai.

Those two made her smile and her work that much easier... Stretching, she walked to the nurses station and set the report for someone to put into the files and computers. Moving down the hallway now, she wondered where her assistant had run off to. Putting those documents in her office shouldn't have taken that long... She didn't need him immediately, but Kaimu's smile did always make the small annoying tasks worth doing really.

Kaimu still stood in Lakshmi's office, still holding to stupid note that needed delivering, though he was currently glaring holes in it in hopes that it would burn in his hand.

He wanted to crumple it up, tear it apart and throw it away so he wouldn't even need to worry about Lakshmi seeing it and...and that stupid name...

All of what had been told to him in that...that "evaluation..."

Feeling for her love, Lakshmi sensed him still in her office and frowned softly. Was there a problem with it? She felt that it had been a simple job, maybe he had noticed a filing mistake or a missing part? If so, she was glad he had.

Lakshmi made it to her office as her walking sped up the last few steps, sliding the door open and noticing first a new spinning chair and then... Kaimu standing there glaring at something in his hand. "Kai? Was something wrong with the documents?"

Kaimu tensed a little when Lakshmi addressed him, not having heard the door slide open and her come in. He glanced back at her with a bit of an annoyed expression, though he tried to compose himself as much as possible. He certainly wasn't mad at her.

"...Corona..." He replied; no, nothing had been wrong with the documents...

...That was not normal, that tensing and odd reaction. Not by a long shot. Lakshmi's frown grew as the only response she got from Kaimu was one word... Corona? That was a type of beer... Also meant crown in spanish...

Did he mean THE Corona?

She slid the door closed behind her, sliding the lock just in case... Something was wrong with Kaimu, he looked almost... Was he annoyed? Confusion radiated off of her so she moved closer to him, trying to see what he had in his hand that was so awful. "The Corona...was she here?"

Was that why she had a new spinning chair? What an odd gift...

Kaimu handed off the note, though not without giving his planned statement; "Here...and...Lakshmi...please, please...don't ever call me what you see on that note, ever..."

Perhaps it sounded a little more like a plea than a warning, but really...it was one thing if people he hardly ever saw called him as such, it was another if Lakshmi started; he hated that damn name!

"She was here...and she didn't leave before properly offending and completely disrespecting me first..."

He hadn't stolen anyone and he hadn't been dumped!

Lakshmi opened her mouth to speak, but she just closed it and read the note first. Oh... oh she saw... something?

Wait Gingerbuns? That...was a suitable nickname indeed but...

Disappointed curiosity?

She offended Kaimu?

Lakshmi was left with MORE questions than answers in fact, stuffing the note in her pocket. She ignored any amusement at his annoyance at the nickname... "So the...Corona showed up, gave you a nickname because...she was curious over you? Why was she curious? What did she say to make you so upset Kai?"

Reaching up, she took one of his hands and the other went to his cheek. She carefully hid her small bit of amusement at this rather odd turn of events. Kaimu needed soothing first!
