Beaches and Birthdays [nsfw]

With no sign of Hibiki and no sign of Chiyo or her father, she had to assume they were downstairs... Miyako did head down the hall and peek into her room for a moment though to check. Her socked feet padded back the way she had come though once that search revealed no sign of Hibiki. Had he...really gone down there?

Miyako reached the stairs, looking down to see that, no no he had not. Smiling a bit and trying to stifle the soft giggle that was caused by the sight, she hopped down the stairs to Hibiki before plopping on the stair next to him with a small grin. "Miss me that much?"

It was a soft teasing, she could hear her dad and Chiyo playing a game so they wouldn't be able to hear at all at least...

Aito lifted his head from his hands, which he'd been resting his chin in at the sound of Miyako's voice as she plopped down beside him, his eyes glancing over to her before looked to the opposite side due to her words.

"Mn."

He assumed it was obvious why he wasn't in there with the other two, so whatever...he'd play along for a bit.

Miyako gave a startled little hop and jolted back at Hibiki's response. Was he...playing along? Her startledness turned into something else, something sweeter as she leaned forward and tilted her head so she could look at his face. 

Her smile was warm and happy as she brushed her hair back from covering her face and held it there. "I see! I'll have to make sure not to make you feel that way again, sorry 'Biki."

If he was playing along she might as well continue and gave him a little pleased giggle.

"Ah..." Aito gave a small nod, continuing to play along now that Miyako understood what he'd been doing. The first reaction had been amusing though...he'd admit.

As if accepting the apology given, or at least responding to it, Aito allowed himself to tip slightly over towards Miyako to where he was slightly leaning on her with the back of his shoulder. His expression remained as composed as always though, as if he weren't doing anything at all.

With her apology accepted, Miyako felt the urge to laugh more. Hibiki was playing with her! Or well along with her and it was making her smile stay large and warm as she looked up at him. Her smile disappeared for a brief moment as Hibiki leaned though, green eyes wide with a bit of shock and her mouth opened before the smile reappeared once more.

She giggled and nudged him lightly back but didn't make a single movement to pull away, instead taking the hand closest to hers and twining her fingers through it to hold more of him. "You seem happy today. I'm really glad..."

"Mn..." Not much of an answer, but Aito didn't move as Miyako laughed and nudged him back before taking his hand. Happy today? Well, he didn't feel bad...? Now that he was fully awake he was just in a neutral mood...maybe a bit more than neutral...?

He didn't know...

He'd given a nod nonetheless though, it wasn't like she was wrong.

Miyako nodded in return, squeezing his hand and trying not to smile more. "That's good..."

Aaah she could make him happy? It was a heart fluttering thought...but still they were here with others around and should go see them... "Mm, in a little bit we can head to the beach. It's gotta be pretty late in the morning... You don't burn too much do you?"

He was always covered up so she wasn't sure if he did or not... and they'd have to bring their bracelets so that might look a bit odd in bathing suits too.

...Did he?

Aito was silent for a couple of moments, "Not sure..." He'd never really noticed sunburns, though he covered up a lot... So he wasn't sure how easily he burned, he'd never noticed sunburns so...and he knew if he had gotten them he would have taken notice...

He guessed they should take precaution just in case?

"...Lots of sunscreen." Miyako lifted up his hand and looked at it as Hibiki finally responded, her other hand slipping up his sleeve and turning it over so she could see. "Mm, yep! I'll get the strongest stuff out. If you get burnt it'll be really bad... Though if you start to feel too light headed or anything just tell me and we'll find some shade and stuff."

He'd been really quiet so he must have been thinking on it a bit more.

"Mn..." The strongest stuff...? If that's what Miyako thought he needed then whatever... He'd rather not burn up and have to deal with that, it'd be annoying as all hell to deal with. He was pretty sure he could deal with the pain, but he'd rather not want to at all.

He gave a nod at her suggestions though, if he felt too hot or something they'd find shade; it all seemed fine to him.

"Sounds fine..."

Miyako smiled up at Hibiki, leaning a bit to try and nuzzle under his chin but with their positioning it was hard to do so. It was hard to kiss him too... She gave a slightly pouting little frown as she thought this over, before figuring out a solution to the issue! Taking her free hand, she kissed two of the fingers and held them up before planting them against his lips.

"There~ Better... Since we have a plan, we should go see them if that's okay? Then we can head to the beach in a bit!"

"A-" Almost... A small, surprised noise almost escaped him at Miyako's gesture since she couldn't properly kiss him.

He gave another small nod; "Ah, yeah...s'Fine."

That was fine, it was their original intent at first to spend some time with her family before the beach happened anyway, well...even if it hadn't been their plan Miyako could still spend time with them, obviously.

Miyako's eyes widened, she had felt him almost...make a sound? Hibiki had quickly stifled it back down, but Miyako really really was wondering if her actions had caused such a reaction from him in the first place. Moving to stand, she shifted her body a bit to give Hibiki fair warning before she moved but didn't let go of his hand one bit.

As she stood though, she turned her head to look back with a sweet grin and tinted cheeks. "...It'll be my birthday soon. Do you think I could get a kiss from you on it?"

Feeling Miyako begin to move, Aito leaned off of her so he would tilt when she got up, standing up shortly after she did since she still had his hand in her own.

Mn? A...Ah...a...

Birthday soon and she wanted... T-Tch, didn't have to ask for those... Well, considering it was rare of him to take such initiative she probably did...not that he saw that.

"M...Mn..."

"Yay! I'll be looking forward!" Miyako laughed happily as she squeezed his hand, beginning to head the rest of the way down the stairs. If she tugged him along behind her, that was fine too. He would follow! Hibiki always did if he wanted...

She wanted to go spend some time with her sister and father though, happy to see them and excited with the sounds she heard. Was that mario kart?! Yesss...

Another nod was given in response, though his eyes turned to look to the side in his typical very subtle fluster as he followed behind her down the rest of the remaining stairs.

Looking forward...

That would come later, no need to think on it for now; it wasn't her birthday quite yet. Almost, but not quite.

Miyako missed the subtle fluster that might have made her happier as she took Hibiki down the hallway and into the living room. There he was shown the wonders of Mario Kart and allowed to hop in if he wanted. Miyako spent most of it laughing her butt off and leaning against him, while Chiyo and her father duked it out for first place.

The three talked and talked about things they had done before or plans for the future, letting Hibiki speak up if he wanted but they tried not to bother him too much. Chiyo didn't speak very often, other than to make small comments or corrections on stories. The father though always tried to include Hibiki at least, explaining small things about the stories or telling ones the quiet man might like to hear...

Like the one about the favored panda coat and Miyako's insistence on wearing it when she was five to every place ever including school. They pointed out a picture on the wall, where she was standing there with the brightest and most familiar smile to Hibiki.

Stories like that, that left Miyako blushing and tossing cushions at her father and sister.

That was how time passed before it was deemed vital to her mental health to leave the room of shame and embarrassment. Stomping from it with a red face, the young woman moved from the living room to head up the stairs and get her bathing suit to her father's soft laughter and Chiyo's smug silence.

While he kept his expression composed, some of the stories he was being told were a bit amusing, much to Miyako's fluster. A panda coat she never wanted to take off? Heh. He was glad he was good at keeping his expressions at bay, no pillows in his direction.

He didn't speak up much, other than give his usual sounds and responses unless he was asked specific questions.

Miyako was able to get some good bonding time in, it was one of the first days here so she was getting in some good bonding time with at least her father and sister...

Eventually, time passed and his attention went to Miyako as she stood and began stomping her way back up to her room.

He blinked, giving a quick glance over to her father and sister before his eyes returned to the stairs. Following Miyako was the best choice, definitely the best choice.

Besides, he needed to get ready for the beach as well, and moved to follow after Miyako after giving a small nod before getting up.

Chiyo just blinked and turned away as Hibiki gave his nod, before her father gave one of his own in goodbye. There was a small smile on the man's face as he turned back to the game that his daughter was enjoying immensely. "Have fun."

Miyako had made it up to her room in record time, having stopped her stomping part of the way and just bolting into it. The door was closed behind her, mostly because she then began stripping so she could get her bathing suit on. Hibiki would come in or not if he wanted... She just didn't want her dad or sister seeing her naked from the hallway.

... Even if it would traumatize them! It would also embarrass her, she needed other forms of reveeenge.

Aito headed up the stairs and too Miyako's room, not really minding the shut door and quickly slipping inside. It wasn't like nudity was any secret to them, and he already felt Miyako wouldn't care if he was the one to come in in the first place.

"Mn..."

He shut the door behind him while she went about changing, heading over to his things as well. He'd bought swim trunks as least before coming considering the beach trip was planned.

Miyako looked over as Hibiki slipped inside, giving him a small nod before looking away. Her shirt was tugged over her head almost all the way when he walked in, luckily allowing her to hide her still red face. She was unable to speak too much at the moment...

Instead she focused on the bathing suit still laid out from earlier and the clothes she'd have to put back on over it. It only took a few more moments for her to strip, get the bathing suit on and then redress. She didn't look at Hibiki like usual at all...

One time wouldn't hurt her to look at him!  Or well not look at him... One time to not look at him changing...

Quickly, Aito went about getting himself changed after pulling the swim trunks out from his bag. He hadn't seen it really necessary to set it out considering it was just a single item of clothing...

He'd get his pants back on over them, no problem. The pants needed to go back over them, they would come off at the beach but he'd rather not walk around in pants that weren't long. It was against his usual form of dressing, after all.

Miyako hadn't said anything yet, though she'd been embarrassed when she'd left for here...probably still was...

Miyako turned around as she pulled her shirt down, the part of her bathing that tied around her neck showing but that was normal. She ended up stopping dead though and staring a bit as she took in Hibiki's... choice. Having sort of expected this, she wasn't entirely surprised but there was enough there to chase away her fluster and cause a confused look to appear on her face.

"Um Hibiki, that will be...really warm... And reaally uncomfortable. Like when we head back? You...if you get wet you can't wear your pants over your bathing suit unless it dries? It'll get all wet too and cling and probably feel worse than um...the one time...you um...that...pants...in your pants..." Miyako turned a particular shade of red that could only be described as beet red and looked to the side.

"...." Aito was quiet, having stopped in the middle of attempting to get his pants on as Miyako spoke. He...realized the possible problems...yes, but...

She...She even brought up that...that of all things...

Why did she have to bring that up!?

"...I don't own any short sleeved shirts..." It would look stupid if he wore swim trunks and a long sleeved shirt, he'd already mentioned he favored long sleeves and long pants...

He owned no shirts to match...

Miyako watched as Hibiki paused his attempts to dress and gave a small thoughtful sound. "Um well you'd be really uncomfortable with wet pants...and could get heat rash from it. Long sleeves would look a little odd, but...do you really care about how you look? U-Um if you are really worried I can borrow a shirt from my father?"

They should have thought about this before! A shirt from her father would be a bit tight, but if she got a long one Hibiki would be fine...

...Miyako was now intensely interested in getting a shirt of her father's on Hibiki.
