Beaches and Birthdays [nsfw]

"I guess I don't notice anymore, I kind like how it feels rubbed into my skin... Welcome! We'll just have to wash it all off you later, I bet you just prefer shirts huh?" Miyako grinned as Hibiki pulled his shirt back on, making sure she had everything she needed before they headed out. Her bracelet... her wallet was nabbed to put in the bag along with it...

She startled a moment though after the words she had spoken, turning the color of a fire hydrant and covering her face with her hands. Her wallet dug into her cheek but at least she stuttered out a reply. "I-I mean you...will have to later... A-And I m-mean lotion rubbed into my skin is nice and but I didn't..."

"A...Ah..." Aito wasn't...sure how to properly respond to Miyako's words, though he could easily tell that she was incredbly flustered. Y...Yeah, he'd need to wash it all off later, wearing it was a new thing so...he guessed it was a given he'd feel more aware of it...

A...Ah...

His bracelet was already on, having put it on earlier, he got his own wallet and pocketed it, he could put it somewhere else to keep it from water later...

Luckily for Miyako, Hibiki was as awkward as she was. He just accepted her words at face value and moved on! She was still flustered, but it was at least a working one as she headed for the doorway and picked up the bag of towels on the way. She tossed her phone and wallet in it before opening the door and heading out.

Hibiki would...would follow... Her face might be red but she could survive! Just she needed a bit of time...

Following after Miyako as she left the room, completely forgetting his own phone; it seemed through most of the trip the device had overall been forgotten after day one. It was probably dead now anyway...

He stepped out with her after she'd opened the door, it was bright out...definitely a good beach day from what he could tell. It was sunny and all.

The sun was bright and nice, the heat not too bad here but would definitely be stronger near the beach, which made Miyako cheer up a bit. "I like fall best but... weather like this is perfect for the beach!"

She slide the door closed behind her, missing Chiyo's halted attempt to say bye. The young girl took a step out of the living room, looked at Hibiki and then hurried back into the safe room.

Now that they were outside though, Miyako shifted the bag to her other shoulder and walked a bit ahead of Hibiki. "This way! We have to go down a bit of stairs, but there's no cars in this section of the town because of how it was built so you don't have to worry 'cept for bikes."

"Colder weather..." Aito gave a small nod, agreeing with Miyako; he preferred cold weather, or at least not-hot weather. It was probably an obvious answer for him though, considering how he dressed...

Though he'd probably already mentioned his preference to Miyako before...

So no cars, but they needed to watch out for bikes; right, that wouldn't be a problem...stairs weren't a problem either.

"Yep! Remember? We're going scarf shopping for you. Or well you were going to get to steal a few of mine but I don't think it'd be as fun. Plus then you can get ones that are just yours and not hand me downs! And more winter clothing, you don't seem to have a lot so we'll have to make sure you have warm enough clothes." Miyako got distracted from her fluster enough to ramble on about scarfs and preparing for colder weather, turning around and walking backwards down the stairs near her house with relative ease.

She was grinning up a storm and a few people waved to the smiling young woman, calling out soft greetings. Miyako paused her Hibiki talk to wave back, turning around and asking small details as they went by. 'Is your cat doing okay?' 'Make anymore experimental brownies?' etc.

Small details of their lives that the young woman remembered, and small teasings about the handsome man following her around... Luckily no one her age was nearby!

"Ah...Yeah..." They did have that planned... More winter clothes, his shirts were long sleeves but they were made of thin material, so it wasn't like they were outright winter clothes... He had his coat though...

Still, it'd probably be best to get more anyway considering it could get pretty damn cold.

He was quiet as Miyako responded to the various few people that greeted her, letting her get her responses out as they made their way to the beach.

Hibiki's quietness made Miyako give shorter replies and grins to the people who saw her out wandering around. He deserved all of her attention and thus she turned after they finally reached the end of the stairs and the more residential area, taking his hand in hers and twining her fingers between his.

It felt nice to hold it like this and well she probably should have earlier but... Reassuring him with her smile again, the young woman decided to lean against his arm as well. "It's not too far! There's a few streets of shops this close to the water, the roads are back though. Tourists and stuff come here a bit for the small town feel, but its the time of year when that all winds down so we shouldn't see too many people."

There was a sound in the distance, it almost sounded like a low whine and it was headed vaguely in their direction.

As Miyako grasped his hand he grasped hers in return, walking along with her as they reached the end of the stairs, listening to her as she explained the shops nearby that tourists tended to go to.

Not too many people... That'd be good, it was easier to enjoy going somewhere the less crowded it was...well, that's how he felt.

"Ah... That'll be best..." He replied, giving a small nod of his head.

This area was definitely built up more, more modern by far and lots of shops. Not that there hadn't been more of the modern houses and places where they had just been, just a larger chunk of the buildings in this section were newer it seemed. She paused at a crosswalk before heading across the street and pointing down it with a small grin. "The family bakery is down that street a few blocks. If you want to see it on the way back through I can show you!"

She also pointed out small little landmarks, telling him stories about things and times she spent doing things around this section...and her notorious reputation at any and all restaurants and food stores. It seems the Black Hole was well known here...

The few people wandering around looked either like locals doing busy things or older tourists who had no interest in the obvious younger couple who seemed to be locals. There was no one to bother them at all.

The whine got loud enough for Miyako to lift her head up and pause for a moment to look around. "Um...do you hear that? It sounds like a mosquito."

Wherever Miyako pointed Aito glanced over as she explained about the area, and mentioned he bakery they could see on the way back her family ran. Seemed fine by him, he didn't really mind where they went...

There were a few people about, some he could guess were some of the tourists she'd mentioned, but there overall weren't many.

Hn?

At Miyako's question he glanced around, as if trying to listen very carefully, tilting his head after a moment or two had passed as if attempting to hear further.

"...Probably just a bug."

"Probably..." Miyako sounded unsure, there was a familiarity that tugged at the back of her mind but... obviously it was nothing of importance! Hibiki's cute head tilts were more important. Staying standing there for a moment, she reached into the bag. "Don't move Hibiki! Stay right like that!"

Grab her phone...grab it quick! He was looking cute and it was nice to take pictures and make memories... Good thing he never looked at her phone, there was a picture set on the background and him and Regalia sleeping soundly.

The whine was getting slowly louder, very slowly...

Hah?

Stay like this...? What...Whatever... Aito did as asked, not sure what Miyako was doing as he couldn't look down towards her. Then..

Camera...?

"...H...Hah?" He did look down shortly after that, blinking; she'd just...taken a picture of him like that... W-Why? It wasn't like he'd been doing anything... Just trying to hear whatever bug she claimed she'd thought she heard.

While Hibiki froze nicely for her in the sweetest gesture of the day so far, Miyako took the picture and smiled up at him sweetly. As he looked down, she continued to smile and stuff her phone away. "You looked like a cute puppy again, I wanted to have a picture of it. The last few times I didn't get to... Plus it'd be nice to have pictures as well as memories too, right?"

The whine was now slightly audible to those without  doglike hearing. Someone...somewhere...was calling something in a long tone. An impossibly long tone.

Miyako twitched instinctively without understanding why.

"A...Ah..." At Miyako's explanation a hand went up to his hair, ruffling slightly as he gave a small nod. It wasn't like he was camera shy really...it was just odd getting pictures taken, but he guessed it was fine if it was her that was taking them.

The "bug" became a bit more obvious to his ears than it had been, and he glanced around for a short moment. More like an annoying whine now than a bug...

The hell whined like that...? Gh...

"...I should have asked! Sorry..." Miyako turned a bit red before shaking her head and smiling once more. Whether she was flustered over this or not it was Hibiki's first time to see the ocean up close and not through windows! It was for her to make him happy.

"But thank you for letting me. We should go now, whoops." She gave him a sheepish giggle and squeezed his hand, having a bad feeling about that whine. It made her steps a bit more hurried than the very leisurely walk they had had earlier... There was starting to be something she was forgetting... some reason she hadn't wanted to hang out with her friends and show off Hibiki...

"N..No, s'Fine..." She didn't need to ask, hell if she'd asked it probably turned out more awkward. It was easier to get pictures when they weren't expected...more natural ones anyway. Again, if it were Miyako taking the pictures then it was fine...

He gave another one of his typical sounds, though obviously signifying a "Welcome." in response to her thanks to him.

Aito was a bit surprised by the sudden quickness in Miyako's steps though as they walked towards their destination. What... Did she want to hurry there?

Well, he guessed it'd be good... If they stood around any longer that annoying sound would become headache inducing...

Miyako just blinked at Hibiki's response, her eyes wide before she blushed and her bright happy Hibiki smile reappeared. "Oh! Okay... Well I'll be sure not to abuse camera privileges. I can't promise drawing ones though..."

She muttered that last part a bit softly, looking away and not willing to admit that she had drawn him a bit... His welcome sound was sweet though and she quickly returned to happy and sparkling despite her hurried walking.

The annoying whine in fact got louder, stronger... and more distinct. It seemed to be a name... that started with M... With an eye twitch and her usual fake covering things smile that Hibiki might be able to figure out by now, Miyako took them down a smaller street instead of this main one. The ocean was starting to be heard by now as well... "A-Ah, this isn't as scenic but um that sound is getting fainter!"

It was searching for them, the sound was and had only grown as she sparkled. She would have to keep those muted or else they'd be found by something she was starting to remember she didn't particularly WANT to meet.

"A...Ah..." Drawing ones... Well, that was fine; if it was Miyako it was fine, she could take pictures or draw or whatever... He didn't mind if it was her...

Aito rose a brow as Miyako kept the pace picked up and began speaking. "...Something up?" He questioned, she just looked like she was trying to avoid something...or was hiding something anyway. What though?

The sound would hopefully be drowned out by the ocean when they got there... He could only hope.

With Hibiki's sound, Miyako blinked and tilted her head. Was he...fine with all of that? Was she allowed to do those things entirely then? Her eyes fluttered in blinks as she just thought about that for a moment... He really trusted her didn't he? Her heart swelled as her free hand came up to her mouth, a soft little giggle sounding as she looked down. It was a bit flustering but also very happy making.


His question caught her off guard and brought to mind things she wasn't remembering until this moment as she winced. Oh bother...that was why... she remembered now the thought that had passed her mind last week when she'd gotten that email. "Aaahaha. That sound? I, um, recognize it now. L-Lets just get to the beach!"


Uuuugh. An almost grumpy expression appeared on the happy, sweet, adoring otter's face.

The sound was bothering her? Ah... Remembered something?

Aito's eyes widened just slightly as he noticed what seemed to be a...nearly grumpy expression cross Miyako's face. That wasn't common...

He gave a nod, following Miyako as they headed towards the beach, ignoring the sound. In person...it was different... He looked around the area when they finally arrived there, his eyes shifting over places though it wasn't like he was gawking or anything.

The waves sounded nice, relaxing anyway despite the heat he didn't really care for...

"...s'Nice..." He muttered, obviously...commenting on things wasn't a strong point with him.

He couldn't find them here! The Beach would keep him away she hoped... He wasn't one for places like it so it was safe~

Instead Miyako focused on watching Hibiki with a rapt attention, her grumpy expression fading away and being replaced with an exuberant one. He was looking at everything and seemed to be absorbing it... Well as much as Hibiki absorbed anything. At least he seemed rather entranced for him and she smiled more up at him as he complimented it. "Uh huh! Lets find an umbrella and make that our spot, then we can hop in the water or I can show you some neat spots with sea creatures. Or seashells or anything!"

It'd be nicer to be a bit wet and wander, cooler at least... It was at that moment, as Hibiki watched the water and she enjoyed that he at least liked it enough to say something that the whine stopped. Miyako had a bad feeling and shivered, hopping around as she noticed a blur rushing toward her. The blur was a young man, a little taller than Miyako with dark brown hair and wearing shorts and a Hawaiian shirt.

"MIIIYAAAKOOOOO!" An excited voice sounded just before the young man crashed into her, his arms going around her in an embrace. Miyako squeaked loudly, shock written on her features as well as a brief tint of annoyance before... It knocked them both over into the sand, his body landing on top of hers as he had little hearts rising from his head. "I missed you!"

Aito listened to Miyako's suggestion, and it sounded fine to him. They'd find an umbrella and set up there for when they just wanted to sit down and relax. He needed to put his wallet up with their beach supplies though, rather than his pocket... If it stayed there it'd get wet most likely, there was money in there...so he couldn't get it wet.

"We can do tha-" His eyes widened at the sudden run past him, his words cut off as some...thing just appeared.

....Hah?

Looking down he noticed a...kid? Well, he guessed man, but he was acting like a damn kid...honest mistake...

One look at Miyako's expression told him everything he needed to know though before he promptly leaned down enough to pick the man up by the collar the action not that hard with his strength.

Miyako had looked annoyed so his expression to her clearly said, "What do you want me to do with it?"

Miyako was happy Hibiki agreed to the plan but she was a bit busy with an affectionate annoyance. Shota Minami, a friend from childhood...

"I-It's...n-nice to see you too..." It was almost like there was a dog bothering her and Miyako closed and eye and leaned away from the man's head as it was too damned close for her comfort. Shota was all smiles and happy little hearts as he leaned down... Before promptly getting picked up like an errant kitten. The young man turned his head up, a small bit of anger in his eyes as he wondered what had him... Was it someone attacking Miyako!? He glared at Hibiki...

Hibiki's expression was priceless and the young woman's couldn't resist a small little laugh as she sat up and gave Hibiki an apologetic grin. "I think he's done now Hibiki. You can let him go..."

"This is um, the source of that sound. Shota Minami. Shota this is Hibiki!" Miyako had...no idea what to do or say and looked a bit awkward as she stood up, sand spilling from her body. She just smiled though, as per her usual reactions and hoping her hurried steps and such plus the words about the sound gave Hibiki the hint. This man was a bit of an annoyance.

Shota whined softly, looking between the pair as if just noticing Hibiki had been with Miyako and wasn't some strange assailant. "I'll be good I promise... Put me down? I'm just Miyako's best friend!"
