Tragic Mistakes (Rin)

"W-We live in a one room cabin... a-and...how...could I do such a thing...it would be disgusting to deal with it after having it happen." Iyuki's face lit up like a beacon, his mind instantly imagining a rather dirty image. He pushed it to the side entirely and took a ragged breath as he tried to get his mind to working.

"...I-I...suppose... If you are telling me, it would be rude to not take...such good advice. My apologies, but I am new to all of this and it is most...embarrassing." He felt awful for his instant denial, and Iyuki did know that what Lord Aoyama was saying was true. She...well it would be best to talk with her about it? If he could get up the courage to. It wasn't good to assume such things as much as he had been, especially with what was currently happening with Muika at the moment.

However they had reached the secluded area and Iyuki had other, pressing and less destructive questions. As he leaned against the wall near the stream, the young man's eyes glowed with excitement. "I could tell what you were because of these. They show me...not colors and allow me to see and do things. Because I am a fullbringer like you? Is that what we are? Muika is one too. She's powerful and can do amazing fighting techniques with hers. Alas...mine is next to useless for anything resembling defense."

A one room cabin...well, he could see some difficulty there...he almost wondered if they'd ever considered moving to an apartment or something...at least then there'd be more than one room...

"It's...ah, well...I had a similar....problem...I didn't want...to em-embarrass myself with that whole...problem but...eventually I got over it, for the most part..." He replied, glancing off to the side as they walked towards a more private area to talk in. "It's fine...being new to it...it's useful to learn about...about these things though...The embarrassment over...having to deal with that...won't just disappear but eventually...it does get easier, especially once you're more comfortable around the person you're with...and you start to understand that...they-they might not mind helping you. It's a difficult thing to control, very difficult and while embarrassing...like I said...once you're more...comfortable around each other it'll get easier."

When it came to talking about fullbringers and abilities, Rin didn't have as much difficulty considering it wasn't really embarrassing to talk about...aside from his abilities...

"I see...so that's how." He'd wondered how the other man had been able to tell so quickly, now he knew why. "I wouldn't call it useless, if there's...potential danger nearby wouldn't you be able to tell depending on the...not color? As for what we are, yes, we're fullbringers. That's what Aoi explained to me...anyway; before meeting her I didn't know either. She's a...a shinigami, it's her duty to pass souls on to the afterlife and such...as for fullbringers...apparently they're the result of our mother's being attacked by hollows and surviving, our powers stem from that corruption...if one adapts enough they can draw power from an object particularly special to them and make it take new forms or abilities...yours would be your glasses, mine would be my scarf." He continued, touching his scarf lightly as he spoke of it. "They can apparently draw the souls from objects, it's not something I've learned to do yet though...apparently it requires a good amount of focus and practice to do...the same as some form of movement that allows us to run faster than what a human is normally capable of...apparently learning to draw the souls of objects is connected to that."

"Ah... it is good to hear that someone as Esteemed as you, Lord Aoyama...had some issues as well. I apologize if it seems rude to take comfort from such, but if one as highly as you could have such issues... then maybe one as low as myself... is not so bad." He was oddly relieved and gave a laugh, these talks were helping him feel a bit better about himself and his body in general. Lord Aoyama was a kind and generous man, telling such embarrassing things to make this poor youth feel better and help him. He almost wanted to hug him, his relief that strong.

Iyuki did puff up a bit as Rin recognized the uses of his powers, nodding slightly. "I can see all sorts of dangers and be warned ahead of time. My power is adapting somehow and I am gaining a bit of...control over a warning system. Useful, due to the people after Muika."

However Lord Aoyama's next words surprised Iyuki enough that he stood staring for a minute. The scarf, the objects... The souls of things? That seemed sort of like what Muika was helping him with the movements when they had time... Their powers came from hollows, the white masked things? It was a lot to take in. A whole lot. His mind worked on it as he was silent for a few minutes...

It had taken him a bit to process what the man had said...but something stuck out to him. "Lord Aoyama... Does this mean...you are dating a god? Your Lady Aoi is... actually Goddess Aoi?"

He felt a bit awed, this man had attracted the divine and his girlfriend was getting advice from one like her.

"It's fine, if it's helping then that's...that's good." Low though? "D-Don't think of yourself like that, you don't seem lowly to me? You seem like a kind person and you obviously care a lot about your...your Muika and making sure you're both happy. Someone lowly would wouldn't think that way, they wouldn't care." Perhaps he'd overstepped a line with that and perhaps he was being a bit hypocritical all things considered but...he couldn't help but attempt reassurance at these things, even if he lacked the ability to reassure himself of similar things.

People were after her? It wasn't any of his business but it was something that stuck out...

At Iyuki's mention of Aoi he was unable to stop his face from reddening. Goddess!? Well...shinigami dead mean...death god and Aoi was female and...Gah, why was he getting sidetracked by these titles!?

"W-Well...ahaa...in the literal sense I...suppose?"

"I-I thank you for your kind words Lord Aoyama...I do care..." Iyuki's voice went soft as he looked down, his hands fumbling with his coat. If someone like... Lord Aoyama thought Iyuki was not lowly, it was possible he was not as bad as he had assumed. However the man's embarrassed reaction and response to Iyuki stunned him.

"Literal...sense. So she IS a goddess?!" Iyuki's eyes widened fully as he took in Lord Aoyama's appearance with new found respect, not that the human already didn't respect this man but now... This was a man who the gods themselves felt drawn to and... slept with.

Was this greek myths of legend? There were many other such stories from around the world, but the young man's mind could only think of that for now. His voice awed, he spoke. "Your children will be modern day heroes... I wonder if you would allow me to be one of their trainers! I am a rather good cook."

Ch-Children!?

Rin's response was obviously that of surprise...certainly not expecting this response. "I-I-I don't r-really think...children are...in the plan of things...aha ahaaa..." Children!? He didn't even know if he wanted kids yet! Besides, he didn't see himself as the type to be anywhere near good with them anyway! He was much too quiet and nervous a person for that!

He was fine just being with Aoi, honestly...the only time kids had even crossed his mind was during that first freak out but when she'd calmed the situation it wasn't something his mind had returned to.

"You do not wish children with you? Do you not want little babies that look like you both to care for and love?" Iyuki was confused by this denial. Didn't...everyone want children? Lord Aoyama would make lovely children with his chosen Goddess.

They would be divine. Would they glow? Iyuki wondered at this... He still had no idea how this all worked, but was too busy pondering adorable babies to ask questions.

"W-Well, I don't really...think I'd be good with kids." Rin answered, trying to quell his earlier meltdown. "I'm happy just...just being with Aoi; if someday it comes up then maybe it'll be something to think about but...currently I'd feel rather ill-prepared."

He couldn't even picture it right now if he were to be honest...how he'd be, how kids would be, just...it was difficult.

"I'm guessing children are definitely something you want though? I assume?"

"I suppose I see. You are like my siblings then. That makes more sense than it does not." Nodding sagely, Iyuki hmmed to himself. Rin wasn't ready for children and that was perfectly all right. He and his chosen Goddess could make divine glowing babies later. He supposed if he was older and more rugged he would make a better mentor anyways...

However Rin's question and assumption was right on the money and he looked away with a blush. "One day... Not right now for sure. But, I wish to have children yes."

They didn't even have to be his, but he would like to be a father one day. Even if his mother was wishing to hurry up the time that they appeared in.

Still, this talk wasn't what was important. "Is...there anything else I should know? I admit my mind is a bit fuzzy from all that I've had to absorb. I don't even know where to begin asking about things!"

"Ah well, mmm...To sum up what's already been said: Communication is important so you're both comfortable but this is something you should both want before anything happens. If you're worried about trust, I'm sure that if she cares for you as much as you her than the trust is already there; it's just a matter of time...This also isn't something that will..." How had he put it? "...taint, either of you. It's perfectly normal, acceptable, and healthy, I've heard at least, in a relationship."

Rin looked thoughtful again, trying to think of something else. When it came to...this particular subject he knew Aoi would probably be of better help but he could at least give the basic advice...

"I-I meant the...spiritual side of things for that question. My apologies." Maybe... he should have been more specific? Definitely should have been more specific. Iyuki felt a blush creep up, but he kept those words in mind. They were rather helpful and also calming. He had felt wrong for such feelings, hoping they wouldn't hurt or harm Muika. Maybe they wouldn't though? This should be something they talk about at some point. "Thank you for all your help Lord Aoyama."

Well...didn't he feel foolish.

His face had tinted in embarrassment, but gave a chuckle to laugh it off.

"Ah, I see; my apologies as well then..." He replied, before thinking. "Well, I suppose...if both you and your girlfriend are fullbringers you've noticed your powers...altering or evolving in a sense? It happened with me the more Aoi was around...due to exposure to other spiritually aware beings it can strengthen your senses...though, it's dangerous to use your abilities too often; it attracts hollows and that...could be really bad if too many show up. So if either of you use your abilities very often...watch yourselves and be safe."

"Mine has gotten much stronger, yes." Iyuki hmmed and a hand came up, adjusting his glasses as the colors shifted into focus strongly. If... he didn't watch out, the whole world would go black and he would be left with only the colors. But maybe that meant it was altering into more? He was using it quite a bit...

Feeling a bit worried over such a proclamation, he frowned and turned away with a slight tint to his face. "I...have been using my powers quite a bit. I have not noticed a change in the amount of hollows nearby, they all seem to disappear before they get too close. Could...Muika or your Goddess be picking up the slack for my indiscretions?"

"Well...either they could be taking care of them or other shinigami in general...that or other fullbringers if they're around...it's Aoi's duty to watch over this city, but I do feel there's more shinigami monitoring the area from time to time..." Rin answered, after having looked thoughtful for a moment to think of a response.

"I see. I shall be more careful then in the future, but I can not let my guard down in the least. Muika has been teaching me a way to move faster, and I seem to be picking it up a bit more. I have not hit a tree yet!" Iyuki was so proud of himself, adjusting his gloves a bit and looking away.

"...I have a question. Is it normal to...be pulling things. Like..." Iyuki hadn't mentioned this to Muika yet, but he felt he could ask Lord Aoyama. Moving his hand out, a dead leaf on a tree shook as it detached from the main branch and floated down to Iyuki's hand.

"That's good...I am still in the process of learning that technique myself...it'd make escaping much easier if hollows were to appear that I couldn't handle." Rin replied, giving a smile though he was surprised at Iyuki's next move as the man detached a leaf from a tree by a movement with his hand.

"I...read about that technique as well...from what I read...you're basically pulling the souls from objects; if you can learn that I think it would make learning the movement technique easier or vice versa if you know the movement one...for a fullbringer, I'd say it's normal so I wouldn't worry. It's something I read we have the ability to do."

"Your goddess brought you books of such things? Do they have a name? I see that it is normal... I shall practice it much then and hope to master it." Iyuki stored the pulling of souls away in his head for now, wondering... if Lord Aoyama could help with the training as well. He looked at Lord Aoyama with wonder, just knowing now that the man was amazing. Of course he'd know about this! Of course he would be training in it!

"I do not have much in the way of fighting, to be honest, so running is a necessity. Muika protects me quite well and I assist in keeping her away from others. What is your power, Lord Aoyama?" Proud of his role, he smiled softly.

"I think...the movement technique was something like...Hmm...'Bringer's Light' if I remember correctly." Rin mused, trying to remember the exact term as he spoke though he was immediately pulled from his thoughts at Iyuki's next question, a look of surprise crossing his face. "Ah, m-my power...?"

It wasn't anything bad but...A whip...

"Aha...w-well..." After a moment, he let out a breath. The area was secluded so no one would see but... "It's not...I don't have a...ah..."

Rin reached for his scarf, not knowing any other way to put 'Please don't think I have a kink' without putting weird thoughts in the other male's head, before pulling it off as he usually did when summoning it. As it moved from his neck it glimmered a moment as it morphed in shape to it's true form.

"It's...a whip..." He muttered once it'd fully transformed, "as for abilities...If I put enough power into my strikes I can paralyze them for a determined amount of time."

"Bringer's light... I see. I shall remember." Iyuki nodded, watching Lord Aoyama with a happy glance. He was pleased to be learning so much, he could help Muika more now. Did she know? Of course not!...Or maybe she had and hadn't remembered to tell him? Well if she was with Lady Goddess she was probably learning everything.

However Rin's stutters did not stop Iyuki from being excited to see another's power, and as Rin's flashy whip appeared he let out a small gasp before containing his surprise. His eyes glittered in amazement, looking over the rather nice weapon.

"It is a magnificent weapon of utter domination! How suited to you Lord Aoyama! Look at its color, its ability to paralyze others... Yes yes I see its inherent Lord Aoyamaness even now."

Domin...ation....

At least he hadn't automatically assumed a whip kink...at least aloud....that Rin could be happy with.

"Th-Thanks...although it's a bit embarrassing..." Rin said with a small, sheepish chuckle.

"Embarrassing? I suppose, especially if it sheds light on such...things as you would rather keep hidden. Things you and your Goddess do..." Iyuki turned slightly red and looked to the side.

"I-I-I don't-! I'm definitely not into...into that..."

He'd thought too soon....

Still, he could still try to...explain and possibly save himself from this situation, his face was already near burning from embarrassment. He was doomed to always have people assume these things...wasn't he? He understood the connection personality-wise...or at least with the explanation Aoi had given him...but he did not have a kink!

"I See... well even if you did...what you like to do...is yours alone." Iyuki coughed politely, having said his piece on the matter. What Lord Aoyama and his Goddess did was their own personal thing and not anything he had to worry about.

Giving a small bow, Iyuki noticed how late it was getting with a glance at his watch. "I appreciate all your help and your explanations. They were very useful and good to hear. I am not as worried about things like what I am and...well what those other people are now. If I could meet you again? I would like to write down some things about my power, as well as ask more questions when my brain can process it all Lord Aoyama."

"It wasn't a problem and of course, we can meet again if you'd like." Rin answered, giving a small nod once most of his earlier embarrassment had left him. "I'll try to answer your questions as best I can...I'm still researching it and trying to strengthen myself more myself, so if I discover anything I can let you know."

He still had a lot of training to do, he still needed to learn those different techniques fullbringers could learn...they'd be useful in case he found himself in trouble. If he discovered anything along the way he could inform Iyuki of it and in turn Iyuki could tell his girlfriend...that way all they as fullbringers could have an advantage in learning more about themselves and powers...

"Thank you. I truly appreciate all your help and anything else you find Lord Aoyama." Nodding, Iyuki gave a short wave before sticking his hand out for Lord Aoyama to take. He gave a small smile, rather friendly and glad that he and Muika had made such a good friend.

He would also need to get the man's number too... Hopefully the Lord would be fine with sharing with such a random young man. He was famous after all. A small blip of his phone made him pull back the hand with a frown before a smile broke over his features as his eyes glanced at the screen once it was free from a pocket.

"Ah... she is fine. She apologized even though she didn't have to." His features softened as he spoke, becoming rather gentle and relaxed. "I shall reply to her in a bit. Maybe I should call her once I leave...?"
