"...Don't need to? But what if its what I desire...My Lord?" Aoi's voice was low and teasing as she rose up, giving Rin a rather familiar and playful glance. He reached for that scarf she had on and as he did, she did the same in a sort of silly mimic to tease him. Her smile grew more as she leaned to place a few fingers against his neck, tracing a line down its rather more bare than usual state.

"...It couldn't hurt could it?"

Her tone was clearly teasing as she mimicked his movement; the heat in his face obvious at this point. He froze a bit when she leaned forward, her fingers running down his neck as his face continued burning.

"You...want to?"

"Yes." Aoi gave Rin a rather simple and sincere answer, her eyes bright as her fingers traced his neck more. She felt like the falcon he had named her once, with this frozen bunny prey right there... If only she could lean forward more and kiss him...

"Alright th-then."

How much could he take? How long would he go with her calling him by...titles like that before his face left him sunburned? It wasn't that big of a deal, really but...

Rin was bright red and Aoi couldn't seem to understand why at all. But... She wasn't going to question it too much. A small smirk reappeared as she tilted her head oh so slightly. "Mm, is that okay? Does it bother you My Lord?"

It'd been a WHILE since she'd seen her love in such a state. She wanted it to stay for a bit so she could relish it more, but if it hurt him she would stop.

"It-It's fine." Rin replied, glancing off to the side for a moment before returning his eyes to Aoi. "I'm not bothered...just not used to it..."

Now if only he could beat the red out of his face, it needed to go away! He hadn't blushed this much in...well...awhile. It was ridiculous!

"...Is it like sex to you then my Lord?" Aoi was slightly confused, especially at such a reaction from Rin NOW of all times. He had only reacted like this early on when kissed or touched or... especially when prompted for sex.

His eyes couldn't stay on her, that was a sure sign. "Does this make you happy in that way?"

"I-It's just..." Rin stopped, taking a breath. "It's just not something I'm...used to hearing, titles such as those, I mean. It doesn't bother me, it just...leaves me a bit flustered when it's coming from y-you..."

He gave a small smile, a sheepish chuckle following after.

"Sorry, I just need to get used to it."

"Such a strong reaction." Aoi's smile got wider and she reached into one of her sleeves, pulling out an intricate fan and snapping it open to cover her mouth and the lower half of her face. It had a phoenix rising on it in gilt golden paint along the black cloth cover.

"No need to apologize My Lord. I shall acclimate you to it, then you won't need to blush so much." Her eyes shined bright over the fan, as she looked away demurely as one should when using the fan.

He would be dead by the end of the night...wouldn't he? There would be no chances for him to compose himself...none.

Rin could only glance away again as Aoi looked at him from behind the fan she'd pulled out before she looked away. Really, Aoyama...compose yourself...They were just titles, even if they were...being said by Aoi.

"R-Right." He replied, mentally cursing himself for stuttering this time.

Luckily for Rin the woman came back with their items and Aoi had to put her fan away. She shot him a look before accepting the woman's offer of help as she filled the hot pot with things. As the food started cooking, the woman left to get the rest of the required items such as plates and a container of rice.

"Is my Lord pleased? I have a present for you while this cooks, I can't believe I forgot!" Aoi thwaped herself with the fan she had hidden in her sleeve before reaching into it and pulling out a small notepad, a rather modern one. A pen followed and she handed them over to Rin with a smile. "So you can chronicle this day and make sure you remember things about it. And...so you can write if ideas come to you. I'm sorry, I should have given you this earlier whoops."

The food was brought and as it was filled into the hot pot to begin cooking Rin realized that he was at least a bit hungrier than he'd originally thought, it'd be good when they could finally eat.

The woman left to get plates and such for them, the rest of what they needed for the meal as Aoi's voice caught his attention.

A present?

He was surprised to see her pull out a small notepad and pen, but he took them as she held them out to him. Her words though are what caught him. It was to...write in about days like today...so he could remember? For ideas as well...

Shaking his head, a smile of his own appeared on his face as he replied. "You don't need to apologize, thank you...Are-" Rin stopped, stopping to think on how to voice this question...her words having made him think a bit. "Are you...worried? That I might forget? D-Don't take it the wrong way or anything I was just...curious, I'm thankful; really. I'll write in it for sure."

Watching his head shake, Aoi grinned a bit. Rin seemed pleased at least, before he stopped and spoke an odd set of words. Was she worried about him forgetting?... No. She wasn't.

But was he? It seemed like sometimes he worried about that, that forgetting again. The cause of his memory loss had been a traumatic and damaging event in his life, whereas hers was still a mystery. She got hints though that he was thinking of such things more than he should though for his own happiness...

Smiling sweetly she shook her head. "I'm not worried about you forgetting, but I am worried about your worries. So... I thought you could have something to write down things today at least, since all your stuff was left at home. You worry about forgetting, so... Well I wanted to make sure you had something to help? I-It sounds stupid when I say it like this doesn't it?"

She laughed a bit sheepishly, turning her head to the side and dropping the not serious my lord stuff for the moment.

It was true...he did worry sometimes, that feeling of forgetting was frightening. It'd happened once and he hadn't lost any memories since but...it wasn't impossible. If he were to forget...but have documentation of everything, he would at least have something...even if he probably wouldn't feel the same since experiencing was a lot different from reading.

It was a nice thought though, and he'd be sure to do that.

"It doesn't sound stupid, it's very thoughtful of you...again, thank you." Again he smiled, this one softer than the ones before though. "I do worry, probably more than I should. I'll be sure to use this, Aoi."

"...I-I meant for today I didn't realize..." Aoi's face was utterly shocked, a rather rare face to see on her. Her mouth was open and she closed it after a moment, trying to cover up her shocked expression but failing. He didn't...write things down to remember?

That soft smile made her blush and she looked down just as the woman came back with bowls and rice. She gave the hot pot a stir and added in some of the other vegetables. They were new to this so it was fine for her to help, whereas other patrons seemed to know exactly what to do. As the woman left again this time with a bow and a smile, Aoi gave her a seated bow before turning back to Rin a bit more composed but still utterly baffled. "You're welcome."

Wait Aoi? Her shocked expression returned as she stared. "Y-You...said my name..."

He was surprised to see Aoi so shocked, but...he did feel a bit flustered for misunderstanding. Just for today, so she thought he already did this sort of thing...whoops.

Rin gave a small, sheepish chuckle just before the woman returned. He remained quiet as they were helped with everything, since they weren't accustomed to it like most of the other people here were.

The woman left after, leaving the two of them to themselves again.

"I did..." He replied, his smile returning as he responded to her mentioning he'd called her by her name. "It's...I haven't ever kept a journal or anything before, it never crossed my mind to do so...honestly."

"Oh..." Even as Aoi was a bit flustered from hearing her name from Rin so much, she could still think about what she had just done. Accidentally. Giving Rin a bright smile, she laughed lightly and nodded. "I am glad I could help you, My Lord."

"M-Mhmm." Rin nodded, again stuttering as Aoi unexpectedly went back to using titles...though really, perhaps he should have expected it. "It's a good idea, keeping a journal...I suppose I was always too busy or caught up in thinking about writing my books I never considered a personal journal before."

"That is really silly you know." Aoi laughed lightly and grinned at Rin's stuttering again, one finger going to her lips as she looked up for a moment as if thinking. She laughed more after a moment and turned back to Rin.

"My Lord, did you never stop writing before I came along?" The smell of the food was strong, it would be done soon but for the rather brief moment before she filled her bowl she wanted to know the answers.

"It was...how I spent my free time, so I suppose not." Rin answered, "I went on walks occasionally but even then I was mostly doing to get my mind flowing to write more."

He'd done other things, writing was just much more common. He still wrote, obviously, it was his job but it didn't fill his schedule as much anymore. Perhaps now he was on a more average schedule?

"...I'm sorry I'm taking up all your free time." Aoi eeped and looked down, feeling a bit bad. Maybe...that was why Ruka was so pleased with Aoi and Rin dating, he was interested in other things now. But still, if it was something he liked to do and she was taking away from it she would feel bad.

The woman came back over, checked the food while Aoi was busy looking away from Rin and pronounced it done before heading back. Giving a soft relieved smile, she nodded to the food. "Here! I'll show you how to get it out. Rice first like...this..."

Showing Rin how to properly get it and put it in, Aoi grinned as she realized there would be enough for both of them. She'd been worried it wouldn't be as much since the woman hadn't been convinced of the size of the order Aoi had placed.

"Y-You're not! Not at all!" Rin quickly piqued in. "If anything, I'm...much happier this way. I like spending time with you, and I still write...obviously, but now there's...ah...better balance? To my schedule, that is."

Aoi wasn't interfering or taking up his time, and he hoped she would believe his words. He loved spending time with her, enjoyed her company when she was visiting him, she wasn't taking up his free time she was making it more enjoyable.

Having said that, Rin watched Aoi as the woman returned and left them to their meal. He watched as Aoi showed him how to properly fix a plate, the strong, delicious smell of the food not escaping his notice.

"That... is good to hear My precious Lord." Aoi laughed softly, more pleased than she wanted to let on. It made her so happy inside to hear Rin say that. She felt... just like she wanted to run around and tell everyone.

Restraining her urges, the shinigami sighed as she watched Rin, not thinking about what she was saying as she lifted her bowl up. "I suppose I won't have to cut back on dates to make room for sex then."

Taking a bite with a grin, she did not notice the man sitting nearby drinking his sake and eavesdropping slightly splutter and choke on his drink. His buddies patted his back as he coughed, hacking the sake from his lungs.

Gradually, he wasn't...well, dying at the titles but his face was still obviously tinted when she used them.

"I'm glad, because it's true." Rin replied before he moved to begin eating, but before he could though Aoi began speaking again; he was grateful he hadn't taken a bite or moved to take a drink, much like the unfortunate man sitting nearby, or else he would have likely choked as well.

The red in his face did brighten slightly, becoming more obvious on his face. "O-Of course you don't need to."

"W-Well... of course its true its..." Aoi stuttered a bit at Rin's rather forward wording. Why did that bother her? Well make her happy. Why did it make her so happy to hear him say such ridiculous things? She filled her mouth, inhaling the food before filling her bowl once more. Always eating like it was her last meal for a while, the woman couldn't help it.

Smiling at red tint on his face, Aoi tried not to giggle at that reaction. She hadn't intended it, it had been a flippant thing spoken directly from her thoughts but... It made her happy Rin still was so flustered by those things. Even as she wondered if he'd ever get over things. "That is good then. I love both of them."
