Rin followed as Aoi waved him over, his expression obviously happy as he moved over towards her. The moon was full and bright, looking beautiful up in the sky tonight.

"I like them too, though last time I experienced them Ruka took the opportunity to chase me with sparklers..." He...hadn't planned on sharing that silly little tidbit, but now felt...maybe she'd find it amusing, it was important to share those little things too...even if they were a bit embarrassing...

"She did? Rukaa. That's...silly and funny but still mean." Aoi tried to be upset for Rin's sake, but couldn't help it. The image of a younger Ruka chasing a younger Rin around. It had be something from after the accident.

As Rin moved closer, she tugged on his robe to pull him into a small hug before she plopped herself down on the balcony. The lamps in the area had been lit, but only about half due to the fireworks soon to start. Aoi picked out a few people making use of the darker roads and tried not to laugh or point it out. "How long ago was that? Were you a baby teenager?"

"I was about...sixteen maybe, it was a little bit after I'd discovered my powers. She'd wanted to take me to one of the summer festivals. It was fun, she ended up buying us a little too much food though...lots of cotton candy and sweets." Rin replied, giving a small laugh at the end as he returned her small embrace as she tugged him closer.

"That does sound really fun. Lots of candy and sweets? I bet your stomach was upset." Aoi laughed lightly, trying to picture teenage Rin and failing a bit. She looked at his face carefully, a hand going up to brush his cheeks softly before ending up in his hair again.

"So it was soon after you got out of the hospital? Would...you want to go to one again with me this year then? This market isn't a festival, just a large market..."

Rin gave a small nod, "It was a little upset, but the food was good; I can't say I regret eating it."

"It was, I'd left the hospital and started living back at home again, when summer came Ruka thought it would be a good idea to go." He replied, leaning into her touch some when her hand went to his hair.

His smile warmed when Aoi continued speaking, "Of course, I'd love to go to a festival with you. It'll be fun."

"Ah, I am so happy to hear. I like hearing about your happy memories." Aoi was smiling before she leaned over and poured more sake for herself. She held up the stuff questioningly at Rin before speaking more. Her tone was soft as she did, watching Rin with happy eyes. "Ruka is really smart, I'm glad she was there for you... What were you like when you were younger? You've...heard all about me really."


Aoi laughed at Rin's happy response, wondering if a short kimono was fine for a festival. She didn't like the restraining ones anyways so hopefully... "Yes! I can...well I have a few more like the one I was wearing. Kimonos I mean. No real...yukatas anymore since my one was ruined."

Rin shook his head slightly at the offer, he...didn't need to drink anymore right now considering how easily he'd become intoxicated by it the first time. He could wait before he had more, definitely.

"Ruka and I well...we were pretty much the same as we are now, though I suppose I was a bit quieter. You recall my ah...sleepy-like look, well I supposed it was more obvious then as well. I had fun though, Ruka made sure of that." He replied with a small chuckle. "As for the clothes for the festival...if you'd like to wear one like you have then I think that'd be fine, if you'd like a yukata though I'm sure Ruka could help you with that, but either would be fine."

"The sleepy author I met on the bench? You didn't even notice me until I was in front of your book! How could you be worse than that?" Aoi teased lightly, deciding the cup would not do it. She downed it like a shot, knowing if she was to get decently buzzed in the amount of time she had she'd have to drink a bit.

Aoi's voice was really soft as she drank more, speaking of Rin's twin in a bit of awe. "Ruka is like a really bright light. She makes everyone around her happy. I couldn't ask her to help, I just... they have to be short. I... don't like my legs restrained a lot. Unless you'd want to see me in a longer one?"

Rin gave a small laugh, "When I'm working it's hard for me to get me distracted, I was the same way when I was younger...when I was working or reading sometimes Ruka had snap her fingers in front of me before I'd notice."

"I'm sure she wouldn't mind helping you, she likes to help others and she really enjoys your company, but if you prefer a short one you should wear it. I think you'd look nice in either, well, I already know you look nice in the shorter one." He added, his smile softening.

"I landed on a bench next to you and you didn't say a thing until you couldn't see your book. I remember. It was amusing. A cute man just utterly entranced in something, I had to see what was so interesting." Aoi giggled more, unable to resist a bit more poking fun at Rin for that. She was downing a bit more alcohol than she had before, trying to at least allow Rin some breathing room for that. If she...could get well on her way to drunkness it would be good.

Thinking over the offer, Aoi then shook her head with a slight blush. "I can keep the short ones then. I'd feel safer, like I could protect you better. A-As silly as that sounds. I-It...really does look nice?"

He gave a laugh at the memory; yes, he'd been...pretty entranced in his work then...

Rin nodded when she asked about the kimono, his hand moving to her head to play with her hair some. "It does, it looked really nice on you. If you feel that way about wearing them, then feel free to wear them. Your reasoning is sweet, not silly."

Aoi's head leaned against Rin's hand as he played with her hair, a pleased little laugh sounding. "Okay~ I will then. Thank you... for saying its sweet."

She was warming up from the drinks, but still snuggled against Rin. This was comfortable and nice. Planning to visit a festival together... it would be so much fun! Human world ones she bet had cool stuff and it would be another chance for her to see Rin in such clothing again. A loud sound though startled her, a color blooming in the sky followed by a boom. The fireworks! Smiling, she looked at Rin's face with a giggle. "They are starting usa, look look!"

She downed more of the sake, really starting to feel it now.

Rin couldn't help but chuckle at Aoi's excitement, looking up to the sky towards the fireworks as Aoi giggled and grew more excited. "They're really pretty." He replied, another chuckle escaping.

She was...really drinking fast, though she had wanted to get drunk earlier...he'd just...beaten her to the punch on it. If he remained sober though, like he originally planned, he could keep an eye on her...not that he expected her to go off anywhere.

"Very." Aoi just kept looking up, giving only a small sound of agreement as the fireworks exploded in the sky. She stared up as the exploded, giving small pleased laughs every time the lights burst across the sky. She sipped from another cup of the sake, having slowed down as the warmth in her body increased. That meant it was starting to effect, she didn't need to drink as fast.

As the sound of someone singing off key drifted up from below them, before it was quickly silenced, it reminded Aoi of something. As she stared up at the sky, she spoke in a soft and quiet voice. "Rin... Would you try to sing for me again?"

Rin sat contently, watching as the fireworks shot off, but it wasn't long before he was pulled from his thoughts with a rather...unexpected question.

"S-Sing?" Rin asked, his face tinting slightly due to the memory of...the last time he'd tried to do that for her sober. He...could only...Was it too late to start drinking again?

Aoi's bright happy, watery eyes looked up at Rin so hopefully. She downed the cup of sake before setting it down and then standing up. She was unsteady on her feet a bit until she got the hang of it, and spun around while laughing. "Yes! Sing! Sing for me~ I love it. I heard it once and it was wonderful! Hehehehehe, shiro-usa's singing~ It would be so nice!"

She was well on her way to being drunk, in fact probably was already at this point. The flashes of fireworks lit up behind her and she glanced over her shoulder for a moment distracted in awe of them.

He...didn't want to refuse, he was just...worried he'd get too embarrassed to do so again; just the thought was causing him to feel heat in his cheeks. At this point, he couldn't help but wish he'd accepted that drink earlier, would have been easier...

"I-I can...try?" Rin replied with a small, sheepish laugh, his fingers unconsciously tapping the base of his neck due to his scarf being absent.

"Here! I can help!" Aoi laughed brightly and a bit fuzzily. Falling to her knees with a smooth motion, she scooped up her cup and filled it with sake. Then pouring the sake into her mouth after, because she did not realize she could just drink from the cup, she dove forward.

Her hands buried themselves in his hair as she pressed her lips against his, opening his mouth lightly with her tongue so he could get the sake from her mouth.

A muffled noise of surprise made it's way to Rin's throat as Aoi's mouth went to his; his only response was to swallow the sake that'd flowed into his mouth with a face as red as fresh apple.

"Aaah will that help? Do you need more usa?" Aoi pulled back after Rin drank the sake, a silly grin on her face. She picked up the bottle of sake she kept refilled and shook it lightly. his red face had no effect on her, she just giggled.

"I can help more usa! I want to hear your singing really bad again. I'll do anything to!"

"L-Let the sake set in and-and then I should be able to..." Rin replied, his fingers moving to his lips momentarily as he spoke.

He just needed to be drunk, or at least somewhat...

"M...More...might help." He replied, glancing off to the side for a second before his eyes returned to her.

"I figured as much... Ahaha Rin liked that~" Aoi nodded, her brain happy with itself for thinking of the sake! There was enough for him to drink again and Rin seemed to want to now. More smiles and laughter followed as she moved to straddle his lap.

Sitting on his lap with her legs on either side of him, she took another drink from the bottle and pressing her lips against his once more as she stared into his eyes. This was a fun way to get him to drink sake, she'd...have to do it more.

He swallowed a breath as Aoi moved to him, the sake in hand as she sat down; his arms automatically went around her waist, his hold on her light as she moved to kiss him again.

Like last time the sake flowed into his mouth and he instinctively swallowed, his hold on Aoi becoming a bit more secure afterward.

Aoi giggled in her throat as she felt Rin's hands and arms hold her, becoming secure as she fed him the sake. The fireworks were forgotten for the moment as drunk Aoi smiled super brightly, pulling away as the sake was swallowed by Rin. "You really like this huh, more Rin? Or should I just kiss you normally now?"

She held up the bottle in offering, unable to stop giggling a bit. One hand reached up to his shoulder, holding the sleeping robe to help keep herself steady and close to him

"I think I'd be happy...with a few normal ones, then maybe another with the...sake." Rin replied, glancing off to the side once more before his eyes returned to her, a small smile on his face once their eyes met.
