Do you take drop-offs?

"Aha...G-Girlfriend, a-actually..." Riye stuttered, her tone a bit shy as her cheeks tinted lightly; getting to the subject of hobbies though helped, definitely; "Well, I like lots of kinds! Action, mystery, horror, romance, mecha, I don't think I really have a top favorite, there's different series in each genre that I can find likable."

There may be more series she enjoyed in one genre than others but she really had a lot of them she liked!

Oh? Her... Huh... She... WELL. She gave her own nervous chuckle, glancing away for a moment. "I like most of those too! Yeah, I... have pretty wide taste." She said, ignoring the first answer for a moment. She looked away before looking back.

"Uh... I... Actually... have a girlfriend too...." She admitted rather sheepishly. "It's uh... yeah.." She giggled suddenly. "You're the more shy one with your girlfriend too?"

Riye gave a small smile at Elly's reply, so she liked a lot of different genres too, that was good! There were so many out there to enjoy that were great!

When they got on the topic of relationships again, she gave another short, shy, laugh; "K-Kinda I guess...we can both be pretty quiet though sometimes..."

They both had girlfriends, that was a coincidence she hadn't expected, but it was good to hear!

She gave a small 'pfft' noise. "Awww. You two sound sweet.." She said with a happy smile. She reached out and scratched the kitty's head. "I'm not normally shy, but Birgitte can be incorrigible. She get amusement out of my suffering, I suppose." She said with a sigh and a little shrug. She hadn't expected to have so much in common with the random person who happened to be working at the cafe.

"F-Fay...likes teasing me...s-sometimes." Riye replied, another sheepish laugh escaping her. She still wasn't good at taking the compliments or teasing from the other woman, she still just got really embarrassed about it!

Elly suppressed 'aww'ing again, seeing how bad the teasing got to Riye. "Don't let it get to you too much. You just have to brush it off." She said before sighing. "I mean, she's sweet too, right?" She didn't want to tell Riye to grin and bear it if her girlfriend was a jerk or something, after all.

"Y-Yeah, she is; I-I just can get easily flustered so..." Another sheepish laugh followed as she trailed off before giving a nod. She would get used to it eventually, it would just take time...lots and lots of time...

"That's good!" She said with a chipper response. "I'm not... NORMALLY easily flustered but... well.." She laughed towards the end of the sentence. She wasn't quite sure how to explain it... At least without being way too candid. "She's... my first girlfriend, so I guess I'm still just shy about the whole thing..." She said with a little wave, unaware Riye had a similar boat.

"I-I've never been in a relationship before this either, so...it's definitely taking some getting used to, but it's not bad; it's nice, even if I get embarrassed and flustered by the teasing and stuff..."

She would definitely get used to it!

"Ahh, I see." She said, nodding. "Awww... Are you her first relationship?" She asked, stars twinkling in her eyes, realizing she had found precious first couple babbies. "I'm glad you're happy though, regardless. I'm... I..." She blushed, looking away and clearing her throat.

"Uhh... She isn't my first relationship... Just... Just my first girlfriend..." She muttered the last bit as quietly as possible.

"I think so, she mentioned how this...this was new t-to her; we're both learning and getting used to this relationship thing, it's nice though..." Riye replied, stuttering only due to this being a rather flustering topic still, but she had a smile on her face as she spoke.

"Whether it's a first relationship or girlfriend or anything really, as long as...as you're both happy...that's what matters..."

Elly clasped her hands together happily, a silly grin on her face. "Awww... That's so sweet! You two are adorable. Sorry. I don't mean to tease but it's true." She said with a laugh. She wasn't going to tease poor Riye. She didn't seem all that steady.... bashfulness wise.

"Yeah... We are... I am anyway... Really happy... I've never had anyone who like... really cared for me... not romantically anyway."

"Thank you, it's fine; y-you don't need to apologize at all!" Riye replied, hoping to reassure Elly that it was alright to say that, it...it made her happy to hear that her relationship sounded cute...

Her smile softened as the other woman spoke more of her relationship, how it made her happy...

"I can understand that, F-Fay is the first person besides my mom that...really cared for me..."

She grinned. "Aw.. Thank you." She was glad she seemed to lift Riye's spirits. She looked up, squinting a bit but saw the vet's was just ahead. Good. Poor little guy wouldn't be happy about the shots but soon he'd have a home and that was worth it.

"Aww... I'm glad to hear that..." She said, before glancing over. "Um.." She'd said... cared... was her... Elly didn't know how to even ask about something like that.

Riye kept her soft smile, feeling happy even if her words hinted a lonely past; she wasn't lonely anymore though, she had people in her life now that cared for her after all.

Looking ahead, she saw the building that was their destination, the vet's office being just ahead. Soon they'd be able to get this little guy checked up on.

"Did you think of a name for him?" She asked, looking down at the currently sleepy kitten.

"Hm?" She tilted her head a little, glancing over. "Name? For him?" She asked, seemingly confused for a second, pursing her lips before making a small contemplative noise. "I... I dunno... he's going to be your guys' kitten. Should I really name him?" She didn't want to get too attached... But maybe it could be okay?

"Hmmm.... Mmmmmm....Marcellus?" She asked meekly. Was that even an okay name?

"You found him though, so you should get to name him; right?" Riye questioned, giving a small laugh as they neared the vet's office.

When Elly gave a name her smile remained; "That sounds good, I like it, it's unique!"

"Hmm.. I suppose. Marcellus, it is!" She said cheerily. "Thank you, Riye!" She grinned from ear to ear as they entered the veterinarians. Elly looked around at the other people with pets there, shying away reflexively. "Here, keep Marcellus relaxed, I'll go get us signed up, okay?" She gave Riye a pleasant smile with the request.

"No problem!" Riye happily replied as they entered the veterinarian's; giving a nod to Elly, she stood by while the other woman got the kitten signed up to be checked on.

Riye lightly petted the kitten's head again as it gave a small mew. Soon he may be able to have a nice new place to live, with lots of other cats too!

Elly went up to the counter, getting more than a few stares due to her attire. She paid it no mind and quickly made friends with the woman at the counter. A few minutes later, they were both smiling and Elly headed back over to Riye. "C'mon! The vet has a few minutes before his next appointment and he can see Marcellus quickly." She was holding a clipboard and squinted at it for a moment.

"I'll... work on this." She said, referring to Marcellus' paperwork. She gestured for Riye to follow her and the nurse.

"Alright." Riye nodded, following Elly and the nurse to the back; the kitten was looking around curiously, this being another new area, but overall wasn't panicking or anything, which was good.

They'd been lucky, this wouldn't take long and they'd managed to catch the vet at a good time.

As they came into the room, the veterinarian had a few sterile syringe packets ready and gestured for them to place the kitten on the table. Elly looked over to Marcellus and leaned towards him, cooing and scratching his chin before gently taking him from Riye and placing him on the table. "Okay, sweetie. The nice vet is going to give you a shot. It's going to hurt, but then you get to go live with your brothers and sisters." She said with a smile.

The vet sort of... gave her an odd look and got the shots ready.

Riye handed the kitten off to Elly as she reached for him, letting the woman place him on the table to be looked at. She gave a small smile at Elly's reassurance to Marcellus, not noticing the vet's look at her after she'd said that.

Of course people wanted to reassure their pets, even if it wasn't known if they could understand.

The vet shrugged and walked over to the kitten. "Now, hold him. This might sting a bit." He said before beginning the inoculations. Little Marcellus was displeased and Elly gasped, holding him down as he started crying. "Oh god. Poor little Marcellus..." She grumbled under her breath, pouting for all she was worth.

"Don't worry. He won't even remember this." The vet reassured her.

Riye's hand went to cover her mouth as the kitten started crying out, obviously uncomfortable with this. The little guy needed it though if they were going to keep him, and as the vet said...eventually he wouldn't even remember this...

Still...Poor Marcellus...
