Beaches and Birthdays [nsfw]

Their meeting was something Aito could hear from his spot in the living room as Miyako spoke and greeted her parents. Her parents sounded...rather casual? If that was a term he could use... he was unsure how to properly explain it...

Well, there was no telling just by listening...

Noticing movement, he looked over just in time to see her father poke his head in. "A-Ah... Hibiki..." He replied, giving his own name.

Not...not used to this whole introduction thing...

Keitaro looked at Hibiki, nodding in greeting and unsure of how to proceed. He...wasn't the social one... And being told the young man was quiet was one thing, but being faced with that head on? It was intimidating... Also he looked to be...

Quite a bit... larger than him...

"Do you want some...oh you had some already. Well there's more! Ahahaha... cake I mean." Keitaro stepped into the living room after a glance at his wife and daughter showed him the sight of the mother teasing her child by holding the cake out of reach.

"Gimmeee!"

"Nope! Not until you do the cute little dance!"

"Nooo mom thats cruel I haven't done that in yeeears!"

"Dooo ittt or no caaaake."

"Mn...s'...s'good..." Aito replied, trying to say the cake had been good and all.. D-Damn it, he wasn't good at this sort of thing. At all.

Something about a dance was going on with Miyako, and more cake he assumed, so there would be no assistance there.

"Was...good." He added, saying so at least...a bit more clearly as his eyes shifted over for a moment.

Keitaro's eyebrow lifted as the shy yougn man attempted speech and... failed? He was confused as he set the box on the table, looking at the drinks and such before moving to pick up the extra plates. Still the honest words, and their attempt caused a smile on his face as he cleaned up. "Ah! Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it... Haha, here let me pick this stuff up and I'll be right back."

He gave a grin to the young man before straightening and moving to the doorway, stepping aside as the rather pretty mother stepped inside while holding up the cake container. She was looking over her shoulder as she did, unaware of the young man sitting inside the room as she teased Miyako. "Ahaha, do the dance! Dooo-Huh? Miyako you never said he was handsomer than your father!"

"Tomoe!" A startled sound escaped Miyako's father as he looked at her, flushed and shaking his head. Tomoe just grinned playfully as she stepped aside to allow her now grumpy daughter past.

"Moom! Don't say things like that. Please...please be really nice okay?" Miyako rushed to Hibiki's side in an attempt to protect him from her mother, ignoring the cake. "Hibiki, this is my mom. Um... Tomoe. I see you met Dad?"

Tomoe meanwhile stood there shocked, staring up at the now ignored cake, to her flushing husband who put dishes in the sink, to her protective daughter in confusion. "Dear I think Miya's broken..."

"A-Ah..." Aito gave a nod as Keitaro took the extra plates and such to the kitchen, his eyes moving to the women as they entered the room...still on the topic of...what he figured was the cake Miyako's mother seemed to be holding out of reach before he became an object of attention again.

"...A..." Unsure of...how to even begin to react to such a comment, Aito had attempted to just...give one of his typical sounds but failed to do so before Miyako darted to him.

"A...Ah..."

Wh...What was he supposed to even say?

Broken? Oh, she was ignoring cake...

Tomoe walked into the living room as if in a daze, shaking her head and staring at Miyako as Keitaro rushed in. The father looked at his daughter, hovering around Hibiki much like a grumpy little otter who was protecting their favorite precious pebble, and then the cake that was now forgotten in her mothers arms.

Keitaro gave Hibiki another look and an appraising nod before a true smile that lit up his face was given to the young man. "I didn't think anything could get her mind off of food... Wow."

Tomoe set the cake container on the table and plopped down across from the pair, waving her arms. "Seee!? Bah. When I can't tell a man he's handsome is the day I die."

Miyako for her part just took their disbelief with a tiny blush, looking away as she plopped down next to the quiet and unsure Hibiki. She reached over and took his hand, squeezing it lightly as she tried to reassure him. "I promise they aren't as evil as they are seeming right now. They'll settle down after a bit like Chi."

"Where is Chi? I thought she'd be attached at the hip by now." Tomoe gave a glance around the room and noted the distinct lack of her youngest.

"Changing!"

"...She's taking a while." Keitaro noted as he stepped into the living room with drinks for his wife and himself.

Tomoe accepted her tea with a grin and then shrugged as the full force of her attention focused on the young man across from her while Keitaro mouthed an 'I'm sorry" to Hibiki. Her grin was playful and more a smirk as she began the fun almost grilling of her daughter's boyfriend.

....

Aito could form no words really, nothing really... Just what was he even supposed to say? Nothing? Nothing seemed good. Just sit here like had been... They had been warned ahead of time he was quiet from what he knew, he would just...prove that statement.

"Mn." His response to Miyako didn't really signify anything, not an agreement or a disagreement.

It seemed he was now the prime focus of her mother though, figuring this out rather quickly as her father mouthed an apology.

...Question time...wasn't it...

Keitaro sipped his tea in silence, watching his wife and daughter and...daughter's boyfriend with observant eyes. Awkward and shy eyes when they glanced at Hibiki.

Miyako for her part leaned ever so slightly towards Hibiki in a show of support but knew she couldn't help as her mother finally found something to ask.

Tomoe sat there for a few moments, her grin frozen in place as she thought of questions... "Aha! What kinds of hobbies do you have, Hibiki?"

"Aaand what's your favorite part about my precious little daughter?" Tomoe followed up with wicked glee in her eyes as Miyako reached under her and grabbed the cushion before tossing it into her mother's face, as her father choked on his tea and fell over.

H...Hobbies...

...He couldn't say napping, the whole concept of why enjoyed such things wasn't understandable without an explanation...otherwise it was lazy slob...which he was not.

W-What was with that question!?

"......" H-Hobbies...he could have bullshit hobbies, bu-but... That next... Was it too late to be taken out back and shot?

Wh...

"I...I..." Just what!? "I...have a....cat?"

"...Do you dress it up?" Tomoe was confused how a cat related to hobbies... maybe he did weird videos? The woman held the cushion her daughter had tossed to her face, trying not to burst into laughter at the quiet man's just... utter brokenness at these simple questions.

Keitaro recovered, no thanks to either his loving daughter or wife and sighed as he continued to sip his tea. Where was his Chiyo, she could be counted on to help...

Chiyo for her part hid upstairs, able to hear the whooole shebang with her door open. She was happier up here.

Miyako glared, still red but... she glanced at Hibiki and squeezed his hand. "No he doesn't! She's perfectly fluffy and cute without things like...adorable bows...and top hats...and little wings..."

...Maybe he should...start dressing her up...

"No...she's just a cat..." With Miyako's words though he worried... O...Oh no, please don't get ideas from that.

The cat did not need all of that, she really, really didn't.

H-Hobbies though...

What was he supposed to say he really just didn't have any productive hobbies... W-What...

"...Read...some..." Sometimes...

Tomoe looked a bit disappointed and Miyako...well went off in her own little world of cute little things to dress Regalia up in...

Still books were a good topic! Rushing forward with her questioning, the older woman shot questions at the quiet man until she had her fill of fun... And then began sharing embarrassing stories about Miyako until the girl was red in the face. Keitaro joined in a while later, asking his own questions but more politely and nicely, while Chiyo came downstairs and scolded their mother for her behavior.

The family slowly but surely attempted to absorb Hibiki into its normalcy and after a bit of time dinner was made and dessert shared... Tomoe, Keitaro and Chiyo began a game of mario party that lasted much longer than the earlier grouping and was finished by the exuberant mother winning. Miyako took that as a sign, having watched Hibiki now that they were leaving him alone mostly and decided they should go up to her bedroom.

Saying her goodnights to the family, she had gathered the items for the futon from the downstairs closet and took it up with her...though she did let Hibiki help.

Miyako carried the blankets for the futon into her room, looking at Hibiki as he carried the heavier bedding part for the floor. "I'm sorry..."

He'd done it... He'd survived the first day, the hard day, the introductions day. That was his thought once the day had began to dwindle down into evening.

He'd persevered, and had made it to night... and soon he would have much earned sleep. A battle well fought, and his reward...

"s'Fine..." Aito replied, following Miyako up the stairs with his load for the futon while she carried the blankets.

He just wasn't entirely accustomed to such active groups of families, really...he was surrounded by such a type when it came to people, but it was just something he'd get used to in a matter of time...

Miyako had no idea of the ridiculous thoughts in Hibiki's head, she just smiled sheepishly as she dropped the bedding on her bed and then eeped. The blanket was in the dryer... oh well, it was warm out, not like she'd be using it anyways...

Turning around though, she looked around her room and then nodded before beginning to move the small table to the wall. "Here, set it down near my bed and I'll unroll it and set it up for you. As long as it's fine... I'm happy. Did you at least enjoy yourself once mom calmed down?"

Her green eyes were bright as she looked over at Hibiki, knowing he'd probably give signs that were silent in response to her question.

"Ah." Doing as instructed once they reached her room, Aito set it down near her bed and backed up some. Miyako seemed to have this part handled at least, he had been able to carry it so he was fine letting her handle this part...

Enjoy himself...

"...Mn..." It wasn't like anything had really shown on his face resembling such, his expression had remained the way it always looked aside from the occasional surprise due to question.

He'd been awkward most of the night...

He did however keep his eyes averted as he gave his response, turning back to look at the futon preparation after a moment.

What... was that? Was it a yes?

Miyako kneeled to the floor and then began setting up the futon for the man, his response confusing her but...he needed a bed to sleep on. She got it unrolled and straightened out and then reached up to the bed to pull down the blankets and padding. A pillow was stolen, a fluffy but comfy one in...pale pink but... it was her favorite and the comfiest so she would give it to him.

Then, standing she gave him a happy grin. "All set for your sleeping pleasure, your Highness~ I mean you are the king of sleeping right?"

He hadn't said no...so that was good... She'd let him have that response of something and drop the question for now. He'd had enough of them all evening!

"....A...h..m...." W-What was with that Your Highness stuff... K-King of sleeping... He just liked sleep... J-Joking, she was joking. "M...M-Mn..."

Considering the day, it'd seemed he'd overall just silenced some... though now that it was just the two of them he was attempting to speak more, even if he was failing for the most part.

"...Close enough..." He muttered quietly, not even aware that come out aloud, looking at the futon and then to Miyako's bed as if he were thinking something.

....Hibiki was...stuttering sounds... so badly...? Miyako sighed softly and then gave a sheepish grin to the man. He was really frazzled from meeting her family and she felt for him, moving just a step closer before she noted his eyes traveling between the bedding and her bed.

"Huh? What's...close enough?" He had spoken softly, his first real words in a while and Miyako moved closer so she could stare up at him and smile. Was something wrong?

"H...Huh? A-Ah... s'nothing." He'd said that out loud? Gh... Really...

Miyako was looking up at him, expecting an answer... I-It wasn't anything important, really... He hadn't even meant to say anything. Just...Just making a simple observation...yes...

"Comes time for sleep..." When it came time for sleep she'd get an idea, or well she'd see. It wasn't like he planned on doing anything bad, it was just...

Miyako was rather sure it wasn't nothing. Hibiki's response rather strong for that... if it wasn't anything he wouldn't have said that... She reached a hand up to his cheek and stroked it gently, giving him her brightest smile though. "Well if...you want to explain? I'm still confused. When it comes time to sleep? That's soon."

"I was gonna get changed for it...?" Was that what he meant? What was going on... Question marks and confused sparkles appeared around her, she wondered what he was getting at...

"Really...s'nothing..." Aito blinked, averting his eyes as Miyako's hand came up to his cheek; t-this was making something small bigger than it was. Really, it was nothing...

Changed for it..? Changed for bed? Well, yes...that was something...they all did... Hah?

N-Now he was slightly confused, but shook it off. They'd...They'd get changed for sleep and then sleep. Yup...

"Oookaaay." If he insisted... Miyako sighed and shook her head, but had a smile on her lips. Her hand caressed his cheek softly one more time before she backed up and headed for the door. She closed it, hearing laughter downstairs from her dad and causing another smile before she headed for her bag.

She pulled out her...illustrious...pajamas... Having taken to wearing Hibiki's shirts, she hadn't...worn her pajamas since she'd been sleeping in his apartment. This might be his first night with her choices. At least she'd chosen two vaguely similar leopard print this time! Instead of others...

Her skirt dropped to the floor as she began changing. It had been an exhausting day and she forced back a small yawn.

As Miyako left his side to go and change, Aito went about getting his own things as well, pulling out another shirt similar to the one he was wearing along with his usual pair of pajama pants to put on.

Now that his things were out he began to quickly change, gathering his previously worn clothes and folding them up to put in a small pile for his bag.

Leopard print? That was the first thing he'd noticed with a short glance to Miyako; she'd typically just worn his shirts so her actual pajamas weren't something he'd really seen before...

Miyako pulled the pajamas of shame on, at least they were tighter than Hibiki's shirt so they weren't...entirely...stupid... They just were ridiculous. She'd need Muika's help or someone's to find better... Or well she'd be living with him soon enough? Just wear his shirts forever...

Ignoring that thought and the blush that accompanied it, she turned around and smiled at the changing man before moving to her bed. It was a t-shirt and shorts style combo, though Hibiki wore his usual utterly covering everything to bed this night. "Clothes really do make you feel better when they cover you all up, don't they?"

She took the few steps towards her bed, hopping over his futon to crawl onto hers. It would take a few moments to get her nest all situated...

"Ah..." Aito gave a small nod as Miyako spoke before she moved over to her bed. He was just comfortable dressing like this...

He moved to the futon they'd set up as she attempted to get all nestled in. Once he was settled, which didn't take too long, he glanced up, waiting until she was done, once she was, he reached up and pulled her arm some to where it'd be dangling off the side of her bed without really asking.

After that, he situated the pillow he'd be using and laid down, the height just enough to where she'd be touching his head slightly with her fingers.

Without a word, he shut his eyes, his hand coming up to take and hold the one he'd made dangle in his grasp.
