An Unexpected Return [nsfw]

"Ah, well; are you ready? I don't mind staying out longer if something interests you." Rin replied, "I'm alright, that practice to build my stamina is paying off."

He didn't mind staying out longer, the walking was too bad; the occasional morning jogs and that stamina practice he'd been doing was helping him now, if Aoi was ready though it was fine. It was getting dark and it wouldn't do them good to remain too much longer...

Still, if Aoi had something else she wanted to see then he was fine with staying out longer.

"Mm, there's a few things but... I want to make sure to save some of the money. I might spend it all if I wander too much..." Aoi laughed more, knowing she had enough with her but a bit worried otherwise. Besides, with it getting dark it would be annoying getting stuck in the streets. Already she could tell that people were coming out more.

"It'd be safer for you inside, lots of people are coming out in preparation for the fireworks. I can show you how to use your fan properly while we wait and drink just a bit. It'll be fun."

At Aoi's reply he gave a nod; they'd head back then, return to the inn and enjoy themselves with the drinks and fireworks. It should be fun, and while they hadn't tired themselves walking it would still be nice to go back and rest where they could do so without worry.

"Alright, we can do that then."

"Okay!" Aoi smiled brightly and took Rin's hand, slipping her fingers between his so she could hold him tighter. Giving a squeeze, she led him from the shop and out into the swiftly moving streets. If before walking had been easy and carefree, with the the sun getting lower to the horizon the streets were becoming a bit more hectic. Aoi stayed close to Rin, holding his hand firmly but not tightly as she led him back to the Inn.

The common room was packed full, the sound of drinking and people laughing and yelling filling the hall as she led him up into the much quieter second floor. Unlocking the door, Aoi noticed no one had attempted to get into it at all. Good. The little bit of information she had dropped had made them too fearful to do anything... Laughing as she slide open the door, the happy little shinigami let go of Rin's hand and set the sake down before flopping to her butt off to the side. Her shoes and those stockings were torn off rather quickly as she sighed. "Aaaah! Much better. Hehe, make yourself comfy Rin!"

Everything was getting much more crowded and hectic now, Rin almost thought that it was good they had decided on now to head back...if traffic was this bad already, anyway.

They arrived back at the inn safely, and like the streets it was just as crowded, if not more so. Their room was perfectly fine though, upstairs and away from the crowds to where it was just the two of them again as Aoi moved to relax herself.

At Aoi's request to make himself comfortable he took a seat near by; removing his own shoes and socks himself as he placed them neatly off to the side.

"It is better in here, just us and no crowds." He smiled.

"Muuch better." Aoi agreed with a laugh, standing back up to tug the shorts she was wearing under the kimono's shorter skirt part off and tossing them to the side. Then, pulling out the hair piece that was keeping her hair tied up she ruffled her hair with a happy sigh. Moving to sit near Rin, she curled her legs up under him before leaning against him slightly. "Mm, did you want to hear about the other squads now Usa? There's thirteen of them in all."

When she moved over to him his arm went around her as she leaned against him some. It felt nice to be able to be close and sit like this, in public that wasn't entirely possible unless they'd wanted to turn a few heads but...obviously that wasn't something he'd have been entirely comfortable with; it was just the two of them now though.

"The others? Sure, I'm interested."

"Mm okay! Lessee... Squad One is the administration Squad... Well first things first, its a military force so we all are fighters. Or well most are? We all know ways to defend ourselves at least. But anyways, Administration, they run the whole rest of the Squads and keep it all going. Its a very paperwork intensive squad, headed by our Leader the Head Captain." Aoi spoke softly, comfortable and pleased with Rin's arm around her. She had wanted this...to snuggle against him.

Making herself more comfortable, she did in fact snuggle against him more as she continued. "Squad two is the special operations. They do dirty work for the seiretei. When I was in the academy squad I did a bit of work for them. Back when I was... off a bit more. The Captain is a bit quiet and seems shy, but hasn't requested any work from me since I was promoted and moved."

"Squad three deals with the Rukon. They work with the academy in bringing in potential students, while also attempting to keep the peace as much as they can out here. They are also working on modernizing it slowly but surely. At least as far as well getting things like water and such working." Aoi kept going, there were a lot to get through. "Squad four is the medical division. They use the healing techniques and medical knowledge to keep everyone alive. Those small techniques I did? They are nothing compared to the stronger ones that those who specialize in that stuff can do."

Laughing, she looked up at Rin and tilted her head a bit. "Keeping with me so far?"

Rin listened silently, taking in everything Aoi said as she began explaining the first few divisions. Administration, Special Ops, Rukon, and the Medical division; it was already so varied, but in a military all of those were useful.

As Aoi cuddled up to him more his hold became more secure on her; he nodded when asked if he was keeping up with her, offering her another smile.

"Mhmm." He replied, giving a small chuckle of his own. "So far, so good."

"Okay! Lets see... Squad five deals with getting the information that we all need, plus especially getting the information for the spec ops squad. Sixth is mine! You know what they do. Mm, Seventh runs the academy where I used to work as a teacher in combat and combat survival things. Eight is the police force for the Seireitei, they make sure we don't break too many rules." Aoi laughed at her little joke, pleased with how secure Rin was holding her. It felt nice and safe right here. If only they were drinking already...

Using her foot, she snagged the small side tray with the sake drinking set on it and pulled it into arms reach. Having to unsnuggle for a moment, she moved away so she could lean and grab the bottle too. "Here! Lemme pour some while I talk."

Opening the jar, the smell of strong sake filled the room as she poured some into the serving cup. "Ninth is the kido users, our spellcasters. They specialize in the spells we can use, being rather focused in that end. Tenth holds our Library, they take care of the large looming things. Its reaaallly old. I've heard some rumors about it... Mia works there, Masabutt's girlfriend. She's the Lieutenant. Um... Eleven is the vanguards. They would be the first into battle or sent on such things. The Kenpachi runs them, and they tend to be the most bloodthirsty."

Taking the two flatter cups, she poured them expertly and precisely before turning to hand one to Rin with a slight bow. "For my precious Lord. Twelve is the research division... They uh...do experiments. Sometimes not always good ones? But...if its not too bad we look the other way."

A small sigh accompanied that one.

"And...thirteenisthecatdivision. So any questions now?" Aoi held up her cup, smiling.

Information, Academy running, Spell-casters, a library, vanguards, and the research department....and the human world affairs that he already knew of. Again, a full variety; there was so many different things shinigami could professionalize in.

"There's such a variety, it's interesting to hear all of the different things shinigami can choose to do." He replied as Aoi prepared the sake, taking the flat cup she offered him to drink from.

"Thank you, for explaining it to me and also thank you for the drink." He added before he began drinking. "As for questions...hmm, you mentioned rumors? Is a library that mysterious?"

"Mhm! Well some of us don't get much choice really. Like me. I was in the academy, under watch really. Too unstable to really... be left alone entirely." Aoi let out a sheepish laugh before she just...downed the whole bit of it. It burned but tasted rather good. She liked alcohol... And well she felt a bit weird having told Rin that.

Still as he thanked her she blushed ever so slightly before pouring herself another cup. "Welcome my Lord. Ahaahah rumors? What rumors? Just a perfectly normal haunted evil library."

Aoi laughed, fakely trying to cover up the uh...thing she had said about the library. Whoops.

Rin made no comment on her response about her having been put under the academy and being watched, instead offering her waist a small squeeze; he could hope it could count as some form of nice gesture, comfort...anything nice she wanted to make of it...

He raised a brow at her remark about the library, an amused smirk making it's way to his face as she tried to wave it off.

"Haunted? Evil?" He gave a small laugh, "yes, it sounds perfectly normal..."

This time a sip of sake at Rin's comforting squeeze. That he had kept his hand there made her the happiest and she turned to give him a smile. However it was cut off by a deadpan face as he laughed about the library. "Aren't all libraries like that?"

"Well...They can be large, and sometimes eerily quiet, but I wouldn't say evil." He replied, sipping from his drink again. "I wouldn't doubt there's folklore about haunted ones either..."

It was a bit humorous, sitting here...drinking and talking of a library of all things. He was enjoying himself despite the odd discussion topic though, he supposed...within the Soul Society a haunted library was entirely possible...this place seemed to prove impossible things possible after all.

"So people don't disappear in them? Or end up mauled and hurt sometimes?" Aoi's head tilted a few degrees to the side in confusion. This wasn't normal? She had been a teacher she had heard the odd rumors the students like to say. Honestly she wouldn't put it past the library that Hideki and Mia worked in to have such a sordid evil past.

Aoi continued to sip the sake as her head returned to its proper straightness, it was rather strong even by her standards. "Have you been to a haunted one?"

Mauled and hurt? Disappearing? Alright, not so normal...though like he'd thought, anything could be possible here...

"Those are...not things that happen in ours. People just go in, check out books, use the computers if they need to, and then leave. Some go to relax or work on school related things, but no...no disappearances or attacks." Rin explained, "I've never been to a haunted one, but I don't doubt there are some rumored ones at least..."

"Huh. Well you can check out books there. Its where I met Hideki, he's now the Captain. He helped me with advice about things! Like that I should be naked around you more when you were so flustered." Aoi nodded as she spoke before getting back on topic. "I see... I wonder if they really have ghosts living there and how come they could stay so long? Normally your chain of fate erodes away so you become a hollow if not sent on in time."

"It's...strange, I thought this was the afterlife?" Rin questioned, "to hear a library is haunted...is there a second afterlife?"

It hadn't escaped his notice when she mentioned her getting advice on...being naked around him. What all kind of advice did that captain give her...? Even if...it did help him grow accustomed to the whole nudity side of a relationship.

"Oh! No I meant in the human world, haunted libraries there. That library I really don't know. I...Hm I'll explain how it works." Aoi waved her hand in front of her a bit flustered she had made Rin so confused before continuing on. "Well what happens when we die and sometimes to humans, is you get sent back into the soul pool. Like, if I were to die right now... what is me disappears. I would turn into particles and such and my soul would end up in the human world again as a newborn. I wouldn't have any memory of the previous things I had done or lived. I would be all new again. Whereas with your death, you would be sent here. I don't think you would even get a chance to go hollow, if what reports are true. Unless...they ate you before you died."

At that thought she frowned and...downed the second cup before pouring herself some more. Her tolerance was rather high.

"I see...sorry for the misunderstanding." He replied, moving to take a drink again...though, talking about either of their deaths...even if they were just hypothetical examples right now, wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing.

Aoi's frown hadn't escaped his notice either, with a small breath he set down his small cup; he waited until she downed her second cup and swallowed it before pulled her closer to him, leaning down and placing a kiss on the side of her head before smiling.

"You are being so formal My Lord. I...Hmph." Aoi pouted slightly, the alcohol she had been downing now a warmth in her stomach. Thinking about death was upsetting, but it went hand in hand with what she was. She was already dead. Rin just forgot that part.

Those were thoughts for another time though, as Rin pulled her to him and kissed her head. She let out a surprised eep before falling quiet for a moment. It reminded her though... Her voice was soft as she tried not to giggle. "Did you want me to make what that woman did all better now?"

"Mmm? Am I?" He asked, raising a brow again before eventually giving a small shrug. "I'll try to not be then."

He nuzzled the side of her head, though it came to a stop as Aoi began speaking. He felt a slight tint in his cheeks that wasn't a result of the strong sake before letting out a small, almost groan. "I'd rather not remember that...Aoi, it was terrible...."

Really, he wasn't appreciative of being touched like that so casually...he'd said only Aoi could touch him and he meant it. He didn't like it otherwise, it was rude, embarrassing, and he'd taken complete offense to the gesture.

Okay so... it was awful someone had touched Rin without his permission. It was her Rin! No one else was supposed to right? Thats how it worked. But... Aoi couldn't help being utterly amused by his rather... silly reaction. He was so...offended by this! He'd even said her name! Aoi tried to stop the laughter from bubbling out of her mouth.

His offense was so...adorable. She wanted more... but then something hit her. His reaction to this... and what she had done... were entirely different! Unless he had been hiding it. Sounding a bit shocked, she spoke. "But... well you let me touch you all I wanted before we were dating. Was that as rude? Did you get just as annoyed in private when I touched your face and hair? Or when I kissed you all those times?"

"Eh...ah...I-It was nice when you did it...like I said back then...I felt something when you had, and I didn't mind the hair playing or anything." He replied, glancing off to the side, "I said only you could touch me like that after we started dating, and I meant it...so of course I was angry when that woman had. Our relationship is just between us, I'm your's...so..."

Perhaps that hadn't been the best...explanation, still, it worked; he thought it worked, anyway.
