That was a trick?

That thought went through both Muika and Rin's mind, though Muika put more thought into it. Rin, who couldn't help but overhear Iyuki at times overheard this trick, he never really used the shark or dolphin...but he thought at least somewhat that was how everyone got on those things...Ruka did at least.

Aoi simply climbed on no matter the depth of the water...

Muika looked thoughtful at what Iyuki had said, finally giving a small nod to let him know she was listening.

"If you do not know how to get on them, you end up just falling off or sliding off. It is a trick in that if you do not know it or practice it is impossible to get on properly." Iyuki nodded solemnly, sharing his wisdom since Muika was his enraptured audience.

"I once watched an English viscount slide off of one right onto my sister's face after failing to use the proper boarding technique. He was terribly sorry, but she never forgave him for that and he was not invited to anymore birthday parties."

Falling onto his sister's face, that sounded...not good. It seemed like a really embarrassing situation, probably a bit painful but not that much...

She listened intently though to everything Iyuki said, it proving to be a pretty decent distraction from the water at least.

"That is why you must be careful, sunscreen adds a dangerous mix to the use of them. Though I am rather sure he was using tanning oil and not blocking the sun off." Iyuki admitted, chuckling and glad of this distraction for Muika.

"Also floating bouncy houses are not worth it around drunks. For my tenth birthday Takuya made the mistake of taking the wine bottle onto the one Mother bought for the pool, after all of us kids had gone in for cake. I was called out to stop the fight that was happening because Yuriko and him were arguing over who drank more from it. The ended up smashing the bottle and deflating the whole thing while still inside of it and fully dressed. Yuriko had to swim in her gown and Takuya with his suit. Mother was rather furious, it was quite funny. The Dads spent that night in the basement bowling to escape her wrath, but let me join in that night because it was my Birthday. They felt bad for my siblings actions."

Iyuki hoped these silly water stories would ease Muika's fears...

This...Was this the type of thing she needed to start expecting when it came to Iyuki's birthdays from his family. It...Was this family real? She wasn't in some weird almost identical to the real world-dream world was she? She was not. She knew this...

"I-Is this what should a-always be expected for your birthdays?" She didn't want to just stay completely silent and nod, she...she should try to talk at least.

Rin tried to focus on the book, really...but really, what....?

"Yes. This is why I am planning our combined one myself. It is also why we must give in just a bit to them about it, but if we give in on some ways, it will allow us freedom in other more important areas." Iyuki pointed out solemnly. Muika seemed to be asking things! This was good and he smiled as he squeezed her shoulder.

"See? Water is not something to fear. It has many funny stories and happy things in it as well."

"M-Mm." She gave another small nod, though...while the stories had proven a good distraction, the future learning she'd be doing soon was weighing on her. Water...water wasn't bad, but...

The squeeze helped some, and she tried as well as she could to bite down her concerns about this; obviously though, she couldn't bite them all down.

"Are you ready? I am going to slip into the water, it is shallow here and I will hold my hands out. You can move as slowly as you like and as far in as you wish for now...but you have to move some." Iyuki's voice was gentle as he spoke, his arm slipping from her as he made to move. "I can tell you more stories, without water as well. I have...quite literally probably hundreds. The twins were old enough to legally drink by the time I was four so... It has been quite an interesting time for me at events."

"R-R...Right." She gave another small nod when Iyuki mentioned trying. Shallow...the water was shallow...the water in the pond they used to live near...was shallow. That was easy...no swimming involved...

After a bit, she shuffled in some, remaining in the shallow end where it was still easy enough to sit and stay above water. Her knees having pulled themselves to her chest again as her arms hugged them to her. "Mm..."

Iyuki took that as it was okay to tell stories as well. Iyuki knelt down in the water near her, scooting closer as she sat in it. They would wait here a bit before moving on. "Dad was normal, he went to a regular high school... Did normal such things as college and that. So he helped keep things stable as best he could. It was not much, but he helped be a voice of sanity at such things. Once I was old enough I started helping."

Nodding thoughtfully, he splished water softly. "The twins have always been wild and strong willed though. It is what makes them so good at their work though, they power through and can do things others just dismiss as impossible or stupid. It makes for a very...interesting life. I wished to see how lives went with others... I had a fairly normal life in some ways, at least. I went to a regular school my whole life and learned many things. I think they did that so I would not turn out like those two at least."

Muika listened as well as she had before, ignoring the water and letting herself get distracted by Iyuki's stories. He'd lived, overall a normal life...it was still sometimes hard to believe what he'd gotten himself involved with...though, she considered things weren't entirely normal, considering what they were...

She gave another small nod, and if she had any idea about those little things when it came to her family she would have shared them, even if it never mattered to her; he was sharing all of this with her, yet she couldn't entirely reciprocate with anything.

Muika seemed distracted by his words, she was in the water quite a bit so it was something to be proud of. Smiling a bit, he scooted just a bit further out, not too much but it was to tempt her out slightly.

"Let me think... Takuya once had one of his boyfriends out for a small party. Unfortunately the young man was a very quiet drunk... and also a very promiscuous one. He accidentally stumbled into my sisters room instead of Takuya's and well had a very nice night there. Yuriko thought Takuya hired a prostitute and just accepted it... Well imagine the poor man's surprise when he woke up and found himself in a woman's bed instead of the expected man's. Imagine my sister's surprise when she found out it was her brother's boyfriend..."

Iyuki let out a laugh, for some reason finding this quite funny. "Poor Takuya was speechless. He'd forgotten about the young man and was just glad he had ended up in a happy bed. One wrong room and he would have been strangled by someone else. After that I kept my door locked at nights, just in case."

That...How did things like that even happen, the situation almost seemed unreal...like something you'd see on a television show or read in a book. Without really thinking, she shuffled a bit in attempt to follow Iyuki at least some.

She glanced off to the side for a moment, quiet for a bit before she began talking; "I...It doesn't really hold any value for me, but...if I knew, I'd tell you what I could about my own family...You're sharing so much, a-after all..."

Her voice was quiet, but considering they were close he should at least hear her.

She couldn't really give much information, because she didn't personally know it. He was able to share so much with her, when she...didn't have anything to give back.

"I really appreciate that Muika." Iyuki smiled and moved closer to her for a moment, laying his head down on hers. He kissed the top of her head softly before nuzzling. She would if she could and felt bad for it...but he was fine with that. He was only telling her these because she needed soothing and if they were causing her to feel bad.

The Twins had had times when they lived there and didn't, so it wasn't as if there were too many stories that did not involve parties. Most of the time he was left alone other than when the family fully gathered.

"It holds value to me atleast, I would want to hear them if you could... but it is fine that you can not. I did not mean to make you feel bad... I was trying the opposite." Iyuki scratched his cheek sheepishly. "I did not want you panicking in the water."

Muika shook her head slightly after the kiss and the nuzzling; "Mm...i-it's not that...I-I just wish I could...share more things in r-return. Y-You don't need to worry about your sharing making me feel bad...i-it m-makes me feel closer to you..."

They...They were still in a pretty shallow part, she could still sit pretty much...no...no need to do any panicking yet...e-even if realizing they'd ventured even just that distance was eating away at her nerves.

"You share what you have. It is the quality, not the quantity... Besides, you will share these stories with me soon too. We will fill you with them, we have the rest of our lives right?" Iyuki nuzzled her head more, smiling as he did and trying to make her feel better. He pulled back to look her in the eye, moving slightly so he could lean and see without her having to look up. "I am glad it makes you feel closer. I will share some more in a moment, but for now you need to move out farther. It is time to learn how to float."

And just like that her face had reddened again, that...saying something like that, the rest of their lives, e-even if it were true-!

Rin blinked, seemingly focused on his book. Saying something like that...some people might think that was a proposal in some context...Book, book...focus on the book.

Head out...farther? Muika glanced behind Iyuki slightly, at the water....it got deeper the farther in they went...that...Her arms around herself locked, that...that...

Iyuki noticed the red face and smiled. He knew exactly what had her flustered and decided to make her just a bit more, it would distract her from their slow movements further out. "You know I am speaking my heart. I will stay with you and make many more memories for the rest of our lives. I promised didn't I? Like memories today."

Muika was completely flustered, his attempt at a distraction working despite her locked state; th...that...She gave a small nod, she...she knew that, he'd promised...

"I-I know, a-a...and I'll stay with you, w-we have all our lives..." It was a miracle she'd even gotten the sentence out...

Rin...Rin, while his eyes were directly on his book, could overhear them still...this...he felt he should notify Aoi about this; half of him thought against it, questioning whether or not that would count as spreading a rumor but...but was it really? They were being rather blunt about it!

Iyuki tugged her forward as she loosened, moving to crouch so he could pulled her in with him a bit more. He would not go passed her hips, but she should not be able to sit when trying to learn to float!

He smiled as she got that sentence out, a blush on his face as he laughed happily. "S-See? The water is not as scary as saying that. That was much more terrifying, yes?"

Iyuki tilted his head and held her hands gently. "I can tell another story if you wish, about the Dad Club this time?"

That...T-The water was...

It'd been hard to get that sentence out, yes but...but that was because of her usual nature! Sh...She knew how she felt on that subject, b-but the water though...

"M-Mm..." She gave a small nod to tell him to go on, even if distractions were becoming less effective the farther in they went. This...soon she wouldn't be able to stay seated anymore...n-no...

"The Dad Club has an annual bakesale, I used to cook for it. Well you see... Once I was old enough, they started to wish to use me for a mascot. They said such older men was no use in drawing in the young w-women and they... wanted fresh blood." Iyuki needed a strong distraction, and he felt that this story...this story would distract her as he pulled her along slowly. She would have to stand up and walk at this point... so he hoped the story of the Maid Uniform would prove distracting its embarrassingness.

"Yuriko and Takuya... Having dressed me up in the m-maid outfit before... decided to h-help. So they did. P-Putting my hair in two pigtails and braiding them...they then dressed me in the...outfit. I was...made to stand there, red faced for hours. The bakesale did better than it did in the other years, th-though I ended up getting quite a few pictures taken of me. I-I...got hit on... a lot... Takuya...and Yuriko really enjoyed that torture, since they had some black mail material on me. Th-This was soon after they dressed me the first time... And when I went to school that week I got a lot of compliments on my braids... So I chopped my hair off and swore not to let it grow out for a long time!"

Iyuki was red faced, his words coming out a bit quickly at the end there but hoping it proved distracting enough...because they were now deep enough to start practicing.

Rin blinked as he stared down at the pages of his book. What...What type of family did this guy have!? Ruka teased but...that...

Muika's attention was on Iyuki as he spoke, that...that seemed...Family could be, or heard at least family could be crazy at times but that...wasn't that a bit beyond teasing and border-lining cruel? He had persevered...that though...

When she felt herself sinking slightly, a short look of panic crossed her face, her legs automatically darting out from their curled state, the moment one foot hit the bottom she'd pushed herself forward; she mentally apologized through her panic, but...she couldn't help it...She held onto to Iyuki for dear life, holding herself to him with her hands having escaped the grasp of his to wrap around his torso.

"It is growing again. You seem to like it right?" Iyuki seemed nervous, worried Muika didn't seem to care for it. If it got too long... She had said earlier it wasn't an issue but... did she like it?

He wanted her opinion, though that thought was pushed from his mind as she grabbed him tightly. Laughing softly, his arm went around her waist and the other to her head. Their current depth was enough and he spoke in a calming tone. "Here, you can try to float in a minute if you want to let her legs dangle while you hold me. I will help hold you up, would that be okay?"

"M-Mm..." Her hold didn't loosen or relax on him, but after a bit she managed a nod. She was not letting go, at all...letting go would mean sinking, sinking would cause panic, panic would lead to near drowning and making an even bigger idiot of herself...

She tried to ignore her panic, pushing it down for so she could answer his earlier question. "Y-Y...Yeah...a-about...the hair..."
