Only Losers Get Sick

Lakshmi was tying her bathing suit, the strings for the top part held in her mouth as she tied the back. Turning around, she hmmed and tilted her head before finishing that up and moving to take the ties from her mouth to secure the top fully.

"Do you want to, Kai? I would not mind if you felt the need." She smiled softly, fluffing her waves over her shoulder as she finally successfully got it on. Her hands stayed in her hair, running her fingers through it to the ends as she looked at it. It was rather long wasn't it... She sighed slightly.

"Mhmm." Kaimu nodded before he approached Lakshmi, "Do you want it up in any specific fashion?"

It would be best to have it up while they were swimming, but he could simply put it up properly or braid it if she wanted...though a braid might take time considering it's length...

"Aha, I get to pick?" Lakshmi was a bit surprised Kaimu could do multiple styles and her eyes glowed with excitement. She didn't let anyone but Setsuna mess with her hair really, so this was a treat!

A finger to her lips, she glanced up before smiling and looking away. "Could you... put it in two braids and pin it to the sides of my head?"

She used to like doing that back home, her mom did it for her a lot when she was little and she felt a bit nostalgic.

Two braids and pinned to the side of her head; Kaimu envisioned it, mostly to get a grasp of what he needed to do before giving a nod.

"Alright, ah...It might take a little bit so if you wanted we could sit; you'd be more comfortable that way..." He didn't want to keep her standing in the least if he were going to get her hair up like that, it'd take a little bit so it'd get tiring...

"Let me get the things from my vanity, we can sit on the bed." Lakshmi laughed lightly, more pleased than she wanted to let on that Kaimu would do this for her. Rushing to said vanity, she grabbed a brush, small ties and pins for her hair.

She couldn't hide the happy smile that shined though, no matter how much she tried to dampen it. "Thank you Kai-tan~"

Kaimu's own smile couldn't help but brighten as he saw how happy Lakshmi seemed to be about this, and he moved to sit on the bed and wait for her as she'd suggested while she got what they'd need for her hair.

"Welcome~"

Crawling onto the bed, Lakshmi moved to sit near Kaimu before changing her mind. Moving forward, she leaned up and stole a soft kiss before seating herself in front of him with a happy laugh. She had her back to him even as she turned her head a bit and handed over the items he would need to work on her hair. "I took a Kaimu kiss~"

Kaimu actually hadn't expected the sudden kiss, and after Lakshmi pulled back he gave a small laugh as she moved to sit in front of him. She'd definitely taken a Kaimu kiss.

Before he began working on her hair, he leaned in to give a small kiss to the back of her head, his smile returning afterwards as he moved to fix her hair.

"That is not fair you know. I can only steal them when you are on my level." A playful grumble sounded as Lakshmi felt the kiss on the back of her head. It wasn't grumpy in the least, she was too happy with the hair brushing. Her head leaned back as he brushed to get any tangles and smooth out the waves.

It felt...nice and very sweet. Very loving and intimate in a way, a family moment of sorts. Lakshmi flushed at that silly idea and was glad Kaimu couldn't see her right now.

"Sorry for my height." Kaimu chuckled; he finished with the brushing after a bit and moved onto actually getting it separated properly and braided.

He had no need to truly apologize for his height, Lakshmi had said once she liked him this way anyway...not that anything could really be done about his height in the first place.

Lakshmi laughed lightly, trying not to shake her head as she got a lackluster apologize and a chuckle for her efforts. He wasn't sorry in the least, but neither was she upset by it. Tall men were sexy and Kaimu was rather tall~

"You should be more sorry for stealing kisses. Its unfair to steal them in return when I do it. I have so much kiss debt to return..."

"Uwaaa~ I thought Lak-tan enjoyed the stolen kisses..." Kaimu replied in a slightly fake pout as he focused on getting her hair done; "Should start I sitting down more sometimes to give you opportunities~?"

Lakshmi shifted to the side so Kaimu could get the one braid pinned up, trying to hold her strong giggles from escaping. Kaimu was such a silly man... "I do! I do! I just wish to repay you in return for all the fun I get from them."

"No you do not have to sit, though you can pretend to be surprised when I pull foot stools over and stand on them to steal kisses." She spoke calmly, without a hint of laughter though a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth that Kaimu could see.

"I was surprised when you did it earlier! I was't expecting it..." Kaimu stated as he worked on pinning the first braid before he moved on to the next one. "In the future though I will try to act surprised then~"

"I mean other times! When I end up doing such silly ones..." Lakshmi turned for Kaimu as he finished one side and moved to the next, crossing her arms as a bit of a pout sounded from her words. "I am glad I could surprise you though, its a rare treat."

"Such an accommodating Love. Mm, thank you for that." The pout was almost gone, her smile soft as she tried not to shake her head. Kaimu really did everything he could to make her happy... She hoped he didn't do things he wouldn't want to though... Not for her. She never wanted that.

"Welcome~" Kaimu replied, the braid he was working on getting there towards being finished, normally someone could probably do them faster but...he was still an amateur at braiding, especially considering it wasn't something he ever did to his own hair...

He thought on her earlier words though; yes, he could show some surprise when she attempted surprise kisses, definitely.

Lakshmi didn't mind how long it was taking Kaimu, relaxed and at ease while he did this. It was a loving and intimate thing, she felt and her eyes shifted over to look at him as best she could. Still, there was always that worry she had, bothering her... "...It is comforting, having you do these things. Do I do enough for you, Kai? To make you feel at ease and at home..."

Did she rely on him too much? Did she put too much on him that he could not handle and would not say so? Did...she not put him first enough?

"I'm glad you find it that way...it's nice doing this." It was definitely relaxing, and nice, more so for her he presumed but it still was nice to him as well. "You do plenty, Lak-tan; I've felt perfectly at ease."

He felt just fine, he was more open now, and overall happier in comparison to how he was while still a rogue. It was refreshing, and less stressful now.

"You can do it more... I mean if you wish to. You are allowed to do things with my hair, I trust you." Lakshmi murmured softly, flushing just a bit. It still felt odd saying such things to another, especially someone she had liked for a while and couldn't tell.

Letting out a small laugh, she seemed a bit relieved. "I know I have a stress filled and harsh job, but I still wish to take care of you too. So, if you need me to... you have to tell me. I do not wish to walk all over you..."

Kaimu was attentive and loving, she never wanted to not be so for him as well.

"I promise, you're not walking all over me; if I need you, I'll let you know as well, though I am quite spoiled for attention, so forgive me if I come to see you when you're not busy just to simply be around around you~"

When she was busy he supposed he would wait with slight impatience, but he wouldn't interrupt her work.

"..." Lakshmi jolted slightly, her face flushing as she sucked in a bit of a shocked breath. Kaimu...would want to do that? She couldn't look at him more than briefly and she brought her hands up to her face to cover that silly flushing.

"I-I can forgive you for that. If you can forgive me for...wanting you to in the first place. B-Be around me... even when I am busy..."

"I wouldn't want to distract Lak-tan while she works, but it makes me really happy to hear you want me around even then~" Kaimu chuckled, finishing up with the braid and moving to pin it up. "I'll definitely be around whenever I'm needed or whenever you're not busy though, I can promise that~"

Like he'd said, he was spoiled for attention.

"I think at times, you would be the one thing that distracts me. I am almost positive you are the only thing that can..." Kaimu was teasing but Lakshmi smiled as the last bit of braid was pinned into place. She reached her hand up and smiled, turning to look at Kaimu finally... before diving for him with a happy laugh and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Then I'll always be happy~ I can promise than in return!"

As Lakshmi turned and dove for him he wrapped his arms around and gave a laugh as she did the same. She was confident he was the only thing that could distract her, huh~? Deep down he couldn't help but feel a bit happy about that.

"It's a promise then~"

Lakshmi had Kaimu's promise and he had hers, the woman feeling quite happy as she usually did. It was especially happy being in Kaimu's arms and she could almost forget the sick man sleeping a few doors down with her love's daughter.

Though... the little one... Eye wide, she didn't pull back at all really though she felt like the worst adopted mother ever now... "Nozomi! Uh oh, I think we kept her waiting..."
