Only Losers Get Sick

Nozomi! Right, she had gone off to put on her own swimsuit! Certainly she was done by now since she'd said she already knew how to put hers on...

"We should go and meet up with her then...whoops..."

The girl in question was fine, waiting patiently in the room she'd be staying in, having gone through her things to get clothes out for when they were all done with swimming. They'd need to be taken out eventually, she thought she might as well get them out now.

Lakshmi nodded, letting go of Kaimu and moving off of the bed in a bit of a hurry. She felt miserable, the poor child they had said swimming and she was probably left waiting! Rushing to the door in a flustered state, she moved down the hall at a quick pace to the room. The door was open so Lakshmi peeked inside only to see the girl having taken out her clothes already and fulled ready for swimming.

"Ah! Sorry Nozomi, Otou-san was doing my hair to make sure it did not get tangled. Please forgive us." She moved over to the bed at a swift pace, having left Kaimu potentially behind in her worry over hurting the girls feelings. She may not be her real...or even adopted in any way shape or form mother, but the girl had called her that...

At Lakshmi's entrance Nozomi gave the woman a smile, "It's alright, I got my clothes out for when we were all done swimming!"

Waiting was fine, and when Lakshmi mentioned Kaimu had done her hair she gave a small nod. Lakshmi had really long hair, she could understand it taking time, definitely.

Kaimu appeared at the door shortly after, giving the girl an apologetic smile which she responded to with another bright smile of her own.

"That was smart of you!" Lakshmi held out her hand for the girl to take, a warm grin on her face. Once Nozomi was ready they could head to the pool and go swimming! The lights outside were already starting to get turned on for the pool, so it would be really fun.

"Lets go to the pool, there you can force otou-san to be your swimming mule~ He can pull you around allll night if you want!" Lakshmi gave a mischievous grin, glancing over at Kaimu as she led the girl out.

The girl's smile seemed to brighten at Lakshmi's compliment as she moved to take the woman's hand, it was getting darker now so the pool should be extra fun!

"'Kaaay~!"

Nozomi couldn't help but giggle at Lakshmi's words after she'd said they should get to the pool, though Kaimu puffed out a cheek in a mock pout at the woman's mischievous grin. If that's what Nozomi wanted though it would certainly be no problem.

Mia woke up after some time, feeling a nice warmth on her body and a bit of weight on her chest. It had kept her sleeping she bet, longer than she should have. Stretching lightly, she wondered what that warmth was before her hand felt... hair?

Night had fallen as she slept but there was a dim light outside from what she assumed was the moon... Blinking away sleep, Mia looked down and saw the sick Masaru firmly planted in her chest. She immediately blushed, but then went still. She could not move at all now... he needed rest and sleep.

Her hand went to his sleeping head, Mia just smiling softly as she ran her fingers through his dark locks. He really ran himself ragged and didn't stop to think how it would bother others, didn't he... Mia had to take better care of him, she couldn't let this happen again.

"Nn..." After some time, Masaru finally began to stir again, though he didn't wake up immediately; his mind was still quite foggy even as he gained more consciousness, probably due to his cold though...

He felt someone playing with his hair, though it didn't take him long to realize who. "M...Mia...?" He questioned, opening his eyes just a little as he spoke sleepily.

Blushing lightly as Masaru stirred, she continued to tease his hair with her fingers. Mia didn't move too much, letting him wake slowly as he needed despite where he was snuggled up. If...if it was what he had...wanted... then... he could...

"Mhm. Are you feeling a bit better?" Mia's hand stopped the playing with his hair, instead moving to his forehead to feel how hot it was. They couldn't have slept long enough for him to get another dose, could they?

His sleepy voice though...was so cute...

"Nn...a little..." Masaru replied, "still tired though..."

He was still tired, but that was to be expected; for now he was at least somewhat awake. He felt her hand move to his forehead, the hair playing having to stop for her to do so; it was a shame, since the hair playing felt nice, but she was trying to check his temperature...

"Aah...thats good..." A relieved sigh escaped Mia, finally smiling down at Masaru as her hand slipped back into his hair. Playing with it again, she felt calm once more. Wanting to know what time it was, Mia reached for her cloak only to find it had fallen off of the bed. She glanced over and saw its dark shape in a puddle on the floor and just smiled instead.

It was night, it wasn't as if it mattered the time exactly.

Masaru's eyes closed as he felt Mia's hand move back to his hair for a bit, keeping them closed for a few moments before they opened again.

He didn't know of the time really, just that it was probably late. It was dark, he knew that much...

Masaru still seemed sleepy, so it was possible he just...didn't realize where he was laying... and if he was comfortable it was fine but... Mia still had a bit of a blush on her face as she played with his hair. It wasn't like they hadn't done more than this...

"Does your head hurt? Still feel weak?" Keeping her voice low in case it did, she tried to distract herself. "You should get some water in you soon... Maybe food too?"

"Nn...tired mostly..." Still a bit exhausted, so weak was probably a correct term to use. "...Water."

He needed a drink, his throat felt a bit dry so it would be good for him. He didn't feel all that hungry, though that may be his cold keeping him from feeling that way.

"Mm, I'll go get you some. Here, can you move without help? You'll need to get off me..." Mia's hand slipped from his hair and went to the bed, a soft smile on her face as she looked down at Masaru. She couldn't get up without moving him, still blushing a bit as she had to tell him.

It seemed he wasn't aware enough yet.

"I can, ah sorry..." He'd hardly realized his position, and his face felt a bit hotter as he moved off of Mia so she could get up. He slipped to the side a bit, resting his head against one of the...actual pillows of the bed.

Mia looked away with her tinted face, nodding. "I-Its okay."

He had been comfortable, thats what mattered! She moved off of the bed after checking to make sure Masa was settled... He looked fine and she gave him a smile before walking around the bed. The glass from earlier was on the table next to it, though the water was long since warm in the pitcher.

Taking both, she moved to get the water from the bathroom nearby. It was a short trip, filling the pitcher as well. Moving back into the room, she had eyes adjusted to the dark still as she set them on the table. The hallways had been empty and dark as well... a far cry from Masaru's house normally. "Here, let me get the table lamp okay? Can you sit up a bit or do you need help?"

Masaru remained lying down while Mia moved from the bed to go and get the water, closing his eyes until he heard her come back.

"It's fine, I can..." Saying that he moved to turn and sit up some, wiping his eyes with his arm as he situated himself comfortably.

With the light flipped, Mia sat on the edge of the bed and smiled softly. Masaru was a bit cute like this, but he still looked rather tired. After grabbing the glass, she held it out to him and motioned him to take it. "Let me feel your temperature again. I'm worried you'll need another dose of medicine soon..."

Her other hand reached out to touch Masaru's cheek and see if he was too hot now, with the back of it gently settling on his cheek to feel.

Perhaps it wasn't a whine, but a displeased sound of sorts escaped him at her words. No...No more...

He'd already taken one dosage why couldn't that be enough? All he needed was rest, and he'd be fine. He was getting better, slowly but surely...

He accepted the glass from her, taking a few drinks from it as she continued to check to see how hot his temperature was.

Mia just sighed at the sound, wondering if she'd have to give it to him herself. Papa and Lakshmi were a ways away, she could feel their energy nearby with Nozomi's little blip. They were together, so that was perfectly all right.

Masaru felt fine for now, his temperature might rise in a bit but for the moment nothing was wrong. That was a relief, she had been so worried... Laughing just a bit sheepishly, Mia reached up and touched the hair that was messed a bit from sleeping. It was falling out of its braids and pins annoyingly, so she reached up both hands while Masaru drank and started letting it back down. "You'll have to take it again soon, fevers can be dangerous. Please don't fight as much this time?"

"..." Obviously he wasn't happy about the idea; the...the fever he had couldn't be that bad...he just needed rest...

He was still fully convinced on that. Stupid medicine...

When he drank what he wanted of the water he leaned a bit to set the glass back on the bedside table where the pitcher was.

"Maasaaa!" Mia whined softly, picking up a few mannerisms from her infamously whining father. She puffed up a cheek and crossed her arms before continuing. "You'll have to take it when you need it again. Rest is not enough sometimes!"

She leaned forward on the bed, eyes narrowed a bit. She knew what he was thinking and not saying, that argument earlier came to mind... He felt just sleeping sometimes was all he needed...

"Zomi warned me and I didn't believe that Masa could be like this..."

"...hate it..." Masaru muttered, averting his eyes from Mia as she pouted at him. He knew this wasn't how an adult should act when it came to being sick and such...he couldn't help it though, he hated medicine...

It was too bitter and tasted awful...he'd had enough.

"I know that dearest." Mia moved closer, a soft frown on her features as her pout disappeared. She felt bad but he would have to do it when the time came, getting medicine was important when you needed to!

Her hands slipped from their crossed arm state, one moving to his cheek as Mia's body climbed fully onto the bed. She caressed it softly, moving her face close to his even though he wouldn't look at her. "I would never ask you to do it either i-if there was another way..."

If he weren't as sick as he was, he'd likely be more flustered by the term than he was; he was still flustered though, having frozen a bit before his body relaxed again.

"Mmm..." The noise he gave was a bit weak, unable to manage a very displeased one.

They'd make him take it, no matter how much he fought or said he didn't want it. He knew they were just worried, but... he still hated it, he had his reasons; medicine was just...
