"Mn...sounds good..."

Aito put his focus on eating, wanting to focus on it rather than any...emotions going on right now or else he'd just be looking away again. He didn't need to do that, he had to eat. He hadn't eaten much on the train so...

He finished his just as Miyako stood and headed for the kitchen; he blinked and looked in her direction before his eyes returned to the bowl...and then back in the direction of the kitchen.

For a few moments, he sat before finally standing with his own empty bowl and heading in Miyako's direction. It was dumb to just...sit there with an empty bowl...

Miyako just stood there, flushing at the sink as she attempted to calm herself for a few moments before she heard Hibiki get up and follow her out. Turning to him, she realized his bowl was...empty too and... Eyes wide, her hands went out as she attempted to take the bowl from him. Green eyes scanned his face and then went to the extra food still available. "D-Did you want anymore? Th-There is still some left... I-I can get you it!"

Focus on...that...not on the fact that you stupidly forgot to take the apron off or let your hair down or that your face was still the color of a tomato...

"s...s'Fine..." Her family could have some when they got home...or something, he was fine...it felt weird having seconds if she wasn't going to... He was content with what he had...

She was still that flustered? Over...what now though...?

Still because he'd said it was good or something else?

Aito...didn't know, but it wasn't like he could just up and ask either, he couldn't do that...

"A-Are you sure?" Miyako looked from Hibiki, to the food, to Hibiki and back... She would probably choke if she attempted to eat right now, so she was fine waiting a bit longer. He seemed confused though by her flustered state still and she just blushed more and looked down instead of explaining. If he...didn't ask, which was incredibly unlikely, she...wouldn't be able to tell him anyways.

She held the bowl, wondering what to do now if he was sure he didn't want more...but then... Ah her brain shorted out! She felt steam rising from her cheeks and ears as her brain overheated. Baby otters were not equipped to dealing with this sort of feelings...

Aito blinked again, now a bit...more obviously confused by Miyako's fluster. She looked like she was about to keel over from all the blood rushing to her face, but...

"A...Ah, yeah..." He was sure, he would be fine.

A hand moved up to his hair, ruffling slightly as he looked to the side again for a short moment. Jeez, was Miyako's current state contagious or something?

"We can...wash 'em."

It seemed he didn't want more and so therefore he would be fine without more! Miyako nodded firmly, trying to focus on that thought as she refused to look up at Hibiki. She turned slowly, about to set his dishes in the sink and... Froze with a loud squeak.

Her hair was falling from its clip from all her jerky motions, slowly causing a disheveled appearance as she turned her head back to Hibiki. If her fluster had been bad before, it was incredibly bad now. She couldn't speak, just stutter and be a blushing mess. Not...not washing them...together... no...no domestic...tasks...together...

It was just...washing...dishes...?

Aito definitely didn't understand what was going on, only feeling a bit of how Miyako felt due to his previous claim of it being contagious. The dishes were dirty, they'd just finished eating so...they should clean them...?

It was the thing they were supposed to do, right?

It'd be annoying as all hell to just...attempt to wash after letting them sit...

"...?" He had been about to move to help her, but as she kept squeaking and looking at him, he had to raise a brow in question.

Miyako saw Hibiki's confusion and shook her head strongly. "G-Guest! You are...guest...you should...wait for me...to...clean it all..."

It'd be a pain, but if he was around her fluster wouldn't go away... "I-I can't make you do dishes!"

Use it as an excuse, even if a flimsy one! She helped Hibiki when he needed it or just to do so... Aaaah why was this happening nooow?!

Where was the whole "guest" excuse back when it'd been him and her at his apartment over the bed and the kotatsu...? They'd solved that just fine, but...

"I dirtied it...though..." He replied, looking off to the side again as Miyako's fluster seemed to become even more severe.

He didn't get it...

"B-But you are...the guest... I wanted...to feed...you..." Miyako turned at those words, quickly flipping on the sink's hot water and trying to hide how much her own words affected her. She had wanted to make him food and still did!

It was...it seemed...more intimate...emotionally intimate to do small things like that with him... She was going to die but... fine... "...Y-You...can dry... then... Wh-While the sink fills I'll...put...away..."

Rushing to the cupboards, she got containers out for the remainder of the food and quickly began stuffing it away as she attempted not to die. Her face hadn't faded one bit in color and she wasn't looking at Hibiki...

"Same...situation as the bed and kotatsu..." Aito reminded, though he didn't really say it with any frustration, just...pointing out that little fact.

Miyako agreed though, and he gave a nod; he'd dry then, that would suit him just fine. He could easily do that, and it wouldn't take long.

She was...still damned flustered.... Why?

"I-Isn't...at all...that...was less...flustering than..." Miyako clasped her hands to her mouth, looking away as she closed the fridge door with a push of her hip. She was still staring anywhere but Hibiki and rushed over to the quickly filling sink before starting to set the pans in it. It was those that needed the heavy washing, the other dishes she could put in the dishwasher.

Just focus on scrubbing! Her clip was now slowly falling out from all her jerking and rushing around, the otter just utter unable to even notice right now...

How was this more flustering!?

They were just washing dishes! It was a simple chore! Just wet the dishes, soap them, scrub them until they were clean, wash them off again, and dry! How was that more flustering than figuring out who would sleep in the bed, and who wouldn't!?

Aito...didn't get it at all, but went about his job of drying as Miyako went about hers of washing. He'd dry whenever there was a dish that needed it.

The clip caught his eye though, it had...mostly fallen out...

"The clip's falling..." His hands were clean, so if she wanted he could take it out, or put it back?

Miyako was dead to the world, just focusing on getting this evil and awful task over with as her heart raced. There wasn't much to clean up and as she put the last dish in to soak for a second, she was startled by Hibiki's words. Squeaking, she almost reached up with soap covered hands but only managed to splash water all down herself and the apron before they fell back down.

"O-Oh...thats...um...fine... Erm...well could you take it out for me?" Her voice was soft and extremely shy, eyes staring down at the water for the moment before she began scrubbing... Just...focus on that...

Gh-!?

She'd been startled by that!? She was...really flustered... Why was she so flustered from just washing dishes!? As he'd thought before...a simple chore...

He did as asked though, reaching up to her head and removing the clip from her hair to let it fall as he set the clip off to the side.

"Th-Thanks..." After that it was a simple task to finish up and Miyako worked as quickly as possible. Once she was finished, she pulled the wet apron over her head and hung it on a nail in the wall for now before turning towards Hibiki. She...didn't look up, and instead fidgeted a bit as her arm came up and grasped the other.

"U-Um thank you... I'm gonna...dry off in the bathroom... I-I'll be...there..." Her shirt would be fine if she patted it with a towel...

"A-Ah..." He answered, to both her thank you and her statement that she'd be in the bathroom drying off. He'd just...wait then. The thought of asking what was up briefly crossed his mind, though he had no idea on...how to word it...

Instead, he put his focus on finishing up with drying the rest of the dishes.

Maybe he'd be able to word it by the time she was finished...

Miyako nodded and then hurried off down the hall to the bathroom, opening the door, rushing in and then closing the door behind her with a soft swish. She grabbed a towel from the rack and patted her top down, trying to breathe deeply and remove the fluster as she did so. It wasn't a big thing...or an important thing but...it still just...made her all flustered.

Why...Why...

It took a bit but the shirt was as dry as it would get for now, it'd just be damp for a bit though luckily it had no sleeves so she could just wipe her arms down at least. Finally leaving the bathroom after hanging the towel up, she had a bit more control over her fluster though her face still was tinged pink as she headed back to Hibiki.

While Miyako had been dealing with things in the bathroom, he'd finished up with drying the dishes and was now waiting on her. She seemed...less flustered when she returned, and he blinked.

"...You...?" Okay?

Though he'd...failed at wording it, unable to think of a way, and so his hand once again returned to his hair to ruffle it some.

Miyako looked up as she entered the kitchen once more, a bit surprised Hibiki would...ask...her anything about that. She flushed for an entirely different reason now and gave him one sheepish laugh. "U-Um... I think... now. I am at least..."

She reached up and almost reached for the nonexistent pigtails before her hands fell and she looked away. "I guess...things like that make me... really flustered."

Her mouth opened to say more, but she froze...rather sure it didn't matter to Hibiki the reason why... or possible reason why... Instead she just laughed sheepishly again and gave him a smile as her eyes moved back up to his face.

Things like...washing dishes with him?

He tilted his head slightly, the action being almost unnoticeable as he blinked; "Like...washing dishes?" It was obvious he didn't entirely get it, but he wasn't going to push the subject further.

Miyako was less flustered now so she was fine.

Was he...that confused by it? Miyako grew a little more flustered and nodded, looking at the corner of the room. "Its...um..."

He...seemed to want to know... and if it happened again... "Its...sweet...and...something you do together...that's um... normal... L-Like...um... Like Muika and Iyuki... its that...kind of normal. S-Stable normal... um...things that you do when its more...than just silly dating..."

"W-Working with your...p-partner..." Her voice was soft and she continued to look in the corner. "I-Its...emotionally...intimate... I-I guess..."

That...That's why she...was...

Aito blinked, and then blinked again before...

Looking over towards the wall, an empty, blank part of the wall. A serious, emotionally intimate thing? A perspective like that hadn't even crossed his mind...really...

"So..." So...?

Wall. Wall was nice...

Of all replies she had expected...So... in that tone of voice... was not it, having expected him to say something like she was being silly or overthinking it. Miyako eeped and covered her face, having made the mistake of looking up and over to see Hibiki staring at the wall. So...so...

Like that... He was as flustered as she was...but saw...no problem in doing such things with her... He was...in his own way just saying that it...should be fine for them to do.

He was saying with that one stupid word, that it was something good... that...he probably wanted... Hibiki had accepted her words and... and...

Miyako closed the distance between them, burying her face against his chest and holding his shirt while she worked through her fluster.

"A-...Ah..." His sound this time wasn't meant to confirm anything, more so escaping him without meaning to in a bit of surprise as Miyako walked forward and buried her face against him.

He was stunned still for a short second before his arms went to her, one of his hands moving back to her head as he glanced off to the side.
