Beaches and Birthdays [nsfw]

Miyako set her tea back down after giving Hibiki a nod and smile, spooning in a bit of sugar and then a bit of milk as well into the tea before stirring until it was dissolved. Considering the fact that she was feeding him the donut though, she couldn't lift the tea for him...nor would she want to really since it might splash and burn him if she did.

"Welcome! I don't mind doing this, as long as it helps you feel better. Hm... I don't mind is kind of mild... I think I like it actually! Its ready to drink, though finish your donut first?" She smiled sweetly, though it was probably lost on the man. At least she had understood his sound.

His hand came up to the donut, meaning to hold it and finish it off as Miyako suggested now that the tea was fixed. He'd eat the donut and drink the tea...it should help him wake up, well, he hoped it would. A hot drink, and all...

Once he'd finished off the donut, he took the cup carefully and brought it to his lips to sip from. His eyes had opened more, glancing over to Miyako for a short second before his focus returned to drinking the tea and being careful with it.

Tea was good...

"s'good..." He muttered.

Miyako let Hibiki take the donut from her, moving to grab a large one for herself as she took a few bites. Mmm chocolate filled...

With him this sleepy, she was fine sitting here and waiting for him to wake up a bit quietly and she took another sip of her hot tea. It'd be a bit before it cooled down and she was also fine with that. It was calming... a nice breakfast like this together.

She caught his eyes glancing at her before he complimented her tea, causing the slightest hint of red on her cheeks. "Oh? I'm glad!"

"Mn..." Another nod was given at her response, the tea was good... It was helping him wake up too, at least. Little by little, he started to look...a bit more aware of things, though it was a somewhat slow process still.

Breakfast was helping...

Miyako watched Hibiki quite a bit as he woke up, her focus on him for the most part even as she ate donuts. With the tea and the food it seemed to be helping, though it was possible having him get out of the bed would help more... They were just on the floor eating breakfast after all.

"...You know if you wanted to touch me last night, we could have shared a bed then." Miyako pointed out softly, knowing he was too asleep to really talk about it but not minding as she took another bite of a donut and swallowed it.

"...Mn..." If Aito were more awake he'd be more surprised by Miyako's sudden choice of topic, but in his current state he only paused while drinking his tea.

He hadn't figured doing that considering... well he'd been told he'd need to sleep in a futon ahead of time, he figured the bed was out of question.

"...Said I had to sleep...futon..." He muttered.

"I thought my bed was too small, but um we kind of both fit it seems? I mean we shared the futon just fine." Miyako, to her credit, looked sheepish at the misunderstanding. She picked up her tea and looked away as she sipped with a red tinted cheek. "I normally move a lot but... when you hold me I don't? I think. It could have been annoying for me to kick you off the bed."

He could have slept up there with her... or her on the futon just in case. She blinked, green eyes going back to Hibiki. "My parents assume we are in bed together by now you know... by my age my dad was well a dad. Or almost one?"

She stuffed a donut in her mouth.

"A..Ah..." From what he noticed, she didn't move that much whenever they slept together... He was mostly asleep, but he assumed if she kicked and stuff he would have woken up in reaction to it. So he could assume she didn't move that much.

He was sipping at his tea when Miyako mentioned her parents, pausing for a moment at her words.

"Mn...Whatever...or wherever then..." Bed or futon it didn't matter to him...

"Awake then now Hibib?" Miyako's grin was back after chewing and swallowing the donut, washing it down with what little remained of her tea. He seemed more awake so she was happy and his response was something tthat caused her grin to grow. "Mhm. We'll sleep together again from now on? Normally Chiyo would booted off when we had to share beds."

Remembering the pause though, Miyako's head tilted. "I never told you? My parents are pretty young. My dad was about to be in his final year of high school when he and mom whoopsed. Mom was heading into her second year of college, she finished it, my grandparents were older so she was needed to take over the bakery and stuff. It wasn't a big deal, but poor dad got teased."

She hadn't ever told him had she? Oh well!

H...Hibib?

Aito blinked, his eyes returning to Miyako; "Mn...Mostly." He answered, averting his eyes again due to the sudden new nickname. First Biki and now Hibib...?

"Mn..." He gave another nod though, they'd sleep together again starting tonight then; perfectly fine by him.

He listened as she explained her parents, and how they were young in comparison to most. Her father had been in high school while her mother in college before she'd been born.

He didn't really remember too much about his own, where they'd been before he was born, he assumed in a similar way to how they were after considering the lifestyle...

Miyako didn't get a no on the nickname so she smiled, though his eyes were averted so he might miss it. "I like Biki better. Hibib is a bit too silly. So is Hibihibi."

He had said he was mostly awake so they could talk about their plans for the day then? Maybe in a bit she thought to herself. She was enjoying the swiftly dwindling pile of donuts. Hibiki seemed okay with the sleeping together again, though she ignored the innuendo of that in her thoughts as her head tilted again.

"You went quiet, pebble for your thoughts?" Her smile was warm as she held up another donut for the man. He was thinking something... but what?

"Mn...nothing." Aito replied, taking another sip from his tea.

Hibihibi...? Well...out of all of those she'd just come up with Biki was definitely the less ridiculous one. The nickname was fine so long as she was the only one calling him that.

Whatever...

It'd be better to be sleeping in the same spot, that way he wouldn't have to do what he did last night and just hold her arm in place.

"....Arm fine?" He questioned, he never did ask whether or not that had been uncomfortable... She'd not complained so he just figured she was fine with it.

"Mmkay. Well if its something I'll listen." Miyako's smile was sweet as she closed her eyes and nodded. Hibiki'd tell her if he felt it after she asked. She watched as he thought over the nicknames possibly and as usual wondered if that was all. She could read him better but it was spotty at best...

The question was odd and Miyako's eyes dropped to her arms for a moment in confusion before it dawned on her. Giving a laugh, a sheepish one, she rubbed the arm that had fallen a bit asleep. "It feels fine now, but if you need me close like that I'd really prefer to just cuddle. It felt odd when I woke up."

"...Is it a need or... just a want?" Her voice soft, her eyes darted to the door as she asked a rather loaded question. Even if she smiled and acted as usual around him, there was the ever buried thoughts of the not visible scars Hibiki had. Did having her close for sleep help him? Or was it just nice.

"...." He didn't answer immediately, but his silence mostly answered the question. It helped, the sleeping by each other thing... He hadn't really taken any notice to it at first, but...yeah.

Mn...

It helped.

"Helps..." He finally muttered, after beating himself to say something, even if it'd come out rather quiet.

He wasn't used to admitting any kind of weakness, it bothered him to hell and back, but... some things needed to be said. Miyako wasn't a damn mind reader... and if he had to push himself to talk to anyone she should be the one he attempts to do so for...

Miyako waited, wondering if the silent sort of reply was one or if she was imagining it. Was he... Was he just worried over admitting or was it silly to ask and not relevant...?

Watching him carefully, she let out a soft breath as his reply was really what the young woman was expecting. It helped. It was a need... she was glad her parents were understanding on those things. Still, pushing that thought away, she responded to his words with a smile. "Then I'll always sleep by your side!"

Her hand lifted up to his hair, tugging on his dark locks just a bit. "Anything else I should always do? Or things I need to do more of?"

Briefly, his eyes returned to her as he felt her tug at his hair after lifting her hand to it. "Mn...s'nothing I can think of..."

Other than that he was fine overall, if he thought of things that were necessary he'd attempt to speak up. For now though, he couldn't think of things...

For now what mattered were sleeping arrangements, and those had now been sorted.

"Okay..." Another smile shone as Miyako's hand moved to playing with his hair softly. There was still the rest of breakfast to finish and then back down to spend time with her father and sister. It dropped after a few more moments of hair playing, moving back to her tea cup to finish the lukewarm drink.

"What happens if I'm not there...?" She wondered what the consequences were, at least if she knew it'd be less mysteriously dangerous. It wasn't dangerous in the least... her imagination was just a bit vivid. "Would swimming be bad...?"

It was something she'd never thought of before this. Whoops.

"Mn?" Looking over at Miyako he raised a brow before shaking his head; "I'd manage..."

He'd slept alone before, he could make it if he needed to... even if that was a less desired option, obviously. He'd manage... It wasn't like bad things happened every time he slept alone.

It was just a gamble.

"...?" Was swimming a bad idea? Was she wondering if... "I can swim...if that's what you're asking?"

He wasn't sure if that's what she was asking about, but...yeah, he could swim just fine.

Miyako's head shook. "I meant more what happens... like what's the bad thing."

She should learn more... Even if no one wanted her to know more. If she was to be Hibiki's partner, she had to learn a bit more than a little bit like scars and vague things.... though that'd later. For now she just wanted to know this.

"I meant more... aah never mind. If you can swim its fine! Though really we might not swim much. It's kinda cold even in summer, but if its hot out it feels nice!" Miyako just gave a grin and moved to sit up, she'd clean up so Hibiki could get up now that he was awake. Though should she hug and kiss him? Would... he want... hm....

"Ah..." Bad things... "Nightmares....mostly..."

He was perfectly fine now, safe, but that didn't mean that shit didn't still pop up in his mind. It would likely never leave leave him. Price of freedom he guessed... Anyone that got out would be able to have a mostly free life, kinder ones, but that wasn't something that just left...it'd haunt someone forever.

He gave a nod when she mentioned the temperature, and how not much swimming might be done; "s'Fine..."

Just going out there was fine by him, they didn't have to go into the water or anything for swimming.

Miyako was in the middle of standing up, on her knees at this point when Hibiki spoke. Nightmares.... that... sounded like something that she couldn't ever help with. It seemed her being there was though...

She felt her face heat up a bit as she leaned forward, her arms wrapping around Hibiki and pulling him into a hug. Her face buried in his neck, her mouth kissing the skin there softly. Whether it was soothing for her or soothing for him was irrelevant.

He was fine with the swimming... but didn't matter much to her at the moment.

He was more awake now, so as Miyako leaned down to hug him, burying her face into his neck his eyes had widened in slight surprise. She was...kissing him too; what? Had what he said upset her or something...?

He'd...He'd already said she helped with those though...

Aito didn't move though, remaining in place as Miyako kept her hold on him, eventually his hand went up to hold her arm, rubbing slightly as an attempt at some comfort.

"I'm fine. I just... being reminded makes me all weak and stuff so I have to hug you. I'm sorry I'm all weak and sappy 'biki." Miyako smiled against his neck as Hibiki's arm lifted up to pat hers. She didn't let go for the moment, wanting soothing herself with his touch and smell.

"I'll be done in a minute, so please just wait okay?" She gave him a soft nuzzle and held on, wondering why he was letting her do this. Still if he'd give the happy and sad young woman enough time to compose herself she'd be fine.

"Mn..." Aito's eyes shifted over to her, not that he could really see her properly with their positioning; "s'Fine...don't have to apologize..."

He didn't mind, she could act or react however she needed to...

"...Long as you need." If she felt she needed to take a minute she could, as he'd just said...kind of, she could take as long as she needed. He remained still for her, his hand not leaving her arm as she went about composing herself.

Miyako took a small breath as he spoke, trying not to smile more but failing. "Sweet. You are sweet."

Hibiki was really sweet... she pulled back after a moment and let go of him to plop back on her legs. Brushing back her bangs a bit sheepishly, there was still a happy smile on her lips though she was someone who smiled regardless of her feelings.... "I'm better now! Since I can keep them away, it seems, I guess I'm your dream catcher."

She should clean up and take the things downstairs... but...
