After a moment, he moved slightly, just enough to be able to place a soft kiss on the top of Mia's head to show affection himself.

Mia smiled again, Masaru's words making her happy and her heart speed up just a bit despite the many times she'd heard it since that day. She was so happy right now, this was just...just right... Masaru was utterly relaxed, she could feel that from how wrapped up in his hold she was... It was good for him, really good for him to relax like this.

A bit of her mind was coming back, but only the parts that worried over his health it seemed. She was distracted enough by that that the kiss came as a surprise. Mia just laughed happily though after tensing for a moment, kissing his chest in return. "Cute..."

"You are as well..." He stated, the soft smile still on his face.

Mia's laugh was bright and happy as Masaru leaned down to kiss her forehead, eyes closing and staying closed even as he pulled back. A hand slipped up to his cheek as her eyes finally opened again, brushing back his bangs as she smiled still. "I'm glad you think so..."

There was the tiniest hint of a blush, but she was too happy with his compliment to be too flustered. Instead she smiled and smiled up at him, love shining from her quite easily as she brushed a hand through his hair after moving his bangs back. "It's...silly sometimes...You snuck your way into my heart... way too well... Hehe, I still wake up surprised a lot...seeing you there with me..."

Masaru leaned into Mia's hand slightly as it moved to his cheek, allowing her to brush the hair from his face as well as she smiled up at him. Her smile, and response only caused his smile to grow some.

She was glad he thought so...

Her words had him curious before she moved on to explain; she was still surprised sometimes when she woke up...

"I didn't meant to sneak, aha... I'm happy we were able to become like this though, really happy." He answered, his tone showing some of that happiness within it.

Mia tried not to giggle as Masaru leaned into her hand, but it was hard since the action was so cute. She kept it up, softly running her fingers against his scalp and through his hair for now, wanting to make him happy while still touching him lots.

Her words made him happy, obviously enough for her to respond by leaning up and kissing his chin with a laugh.

"If you didn't mean to sneak...did that mean you wanted to just burst right into my heart instead?" Mia noticed his growing happiness and teased him very softly as she smiled. "Or was it that you wanted to just steal my heart away entirely?"

"I'm...really really happy to... I'm so happy... You...are letting me know though, right? The things... I need to be doing to help you. The...things I need to know to make it easier on you?" Right now would be a good time to make sure and Mia questioned Masaru softly again.

"E-Eh?" Just burst right in? S-Steal it completely!? Ahaha... T-That... That would be much too bold for him, much... He was...really happy they'd been able to become like this...yes, though it hadn't been expected...

Mia was...teasing though...her tone told him that, and a sheepish chuckle was what escaped next.

The touching was nice, they were sweet gestures that were also comforting, and felt nice...

Things to help him though...? To make it easier on him?

The first thing his mind jumped to when it came to her words was the situation they'd recently had to deal with not long ago... When he'd gotten trapped and had freaked out... He'd reassured her on that though, and she had done a great job at helping him...

"If it's about...the problems that happened recently, you did really well in helping me..." He answered, though there were other things to consider too that she might be asking about... "As for...Clan things...things have been alright, there hasn't been any extreme pressure lately... Is there anything in particular you wanted to discuss?"

Mia's hand moved to boop Masaru's nose at his surprised questioning sound and sheepish chuckle. At least he knew she was teasing... it wasn't like she had expected her feelings at all either. Or...especially expected him to feel the same...

It was...good they both had been forced to...recognize them... They were happy now though and hadn't had to deal with any problems just yet. It was comforting and her hand went back to playing with his hair.

As he spoke though, she shook her head softly in response to his first words. "I'm...not as worried about that now. Your reassurances worked, I promise. I might try singing the song for you if it happens again though... it seemed to help a bit but I was so worried then it was hard to."

That hadn't been what she'd been worried about... the second part was though and she sighed. "I-I know there's nothing right now... But... I don't understand a lot of things. Why...does my father marrying Lakshmi matter...? W-Won't...it happen as time goes by...that it'll get worse? I-I mean... I think people think you'll grow bored of me or something..."

She rolled her eyes, obviously not at all worried about that as her voice formed a small pout. "Why...are there so many rules about marrying within bloodlines and other nobles...? Why...does it matter, what we just did, outside of marriage?"

"Mhm... I understand... It was the first time you'd ever seen me like that...and it'd been a severe case as well, I'm glad my reassurances worked because it was the truth." Masaru replied, "you really did help, a lot..."

So it was...the second part that she had questions and worries on... Right, they hadn't really...done much talking about these parts of it all. She hadn't seemed to understand completely when Lakshmi and Kaimu had been explaining the importance of the marriage...

"It's a...status thing, really..." Masaru answered; "Lakshmi's family is held in very high regards, if...your father were to marry her, he would be a part of that family...and earn the status that came with it.

That in turn also helps you... It makes your name more powerful... Since you would, in a sense, be connected to Lakshmi's family you can't just be ignored.

They'd be required to show more respect towards both you and your father."

They had said one of the reasons for the marriage between them was because they knew it would help Mia and himself... It was...a really kind gesture, honestly... They were being supported, and looked after like that...

"I won't grow bored of you, I can easily promise that without a second thought; eventually the ones that believe that will be eating their words..." Saying that, Masaru offered another soft smile.

It was true, he wasn't going to get bored of her, there was no chance of that...

Though, it didn't seem Mia was all too worried about that either judging by the rolling of her eyes.

"It's...there's a lot that comes from being nobility, they wan't the keep the bloodlines strong, and it's believed that can only be if marriages are kept between nobles.

The ones marrying hardly get much say, but some don't mind it that way...

It's looked down upon...what we just did...while not married due to...well... Bad word could spread, for one...it could bring about some shame to a clan even...and even more so if a child is conceived...

Pardon...my phrasing...but...bastard children are rarely ever even accepted as members of a clan... They would be seen as what brought immense shame upon a clan, an insult to the clan...

Mia didn't feel too reassured by Masaru's calm words, mostly due to the fact that she didn't...like how clam he was and accepting. But then, it was his problem and something he'd been dealing with himself for a very long time. It made some sense he was...used to it.

It...didn't mean she liked it.

What she liked even less were things that Masaru spoke of next. Before, she hadn't really understood at all what and why her father and Lakshmi were marrying. As Masaru explained, even if she didn't like it... it made more sense to her now. Sighing softly, Mia wondered...why it was necessary... though really looking at how her mother was...

"I-I see... I guess... They really are doing this...to help us aren't they then? Will... this really make it better? For you and...for me? Are you sure...?" Mia questioned softly, unsure herself how much and how far that status stuff would go. "Even... if he marries her, I am his bastard. My brother will be his married child... I don't even have his last name... And... my mother... is...just a dancer... still."

Would their plan really work? If she had all these things stacked against her...

She couldn't dwell on that too much though, as Masaru reaffirmed that he would never get bored of her. In fact his phrasing caused her to laugh again, leaning up to kiss him softly for a moment as that washed away her small worry. "I won't grow bored of you either Masa! Never ever!"

Even his next words couldn't dent her happiness, even if she'd not believed it it was always good to hear his reassurances... In fact all she nodded softly, accepting for now that's how it was. They may believe that, whether it was true or not... but... it didn't matter really if it was or not since there was probably no way to prove it. However...

"I'll make sure no...no bastard children are born from us... I'll keep the spell on and be...be careful and wary." Mia nodded more firmly after her words. If that was what would happen, even if she felt it was silly and made no sense... This was what she would do for sure! "E-Even after... we set it up properly... I won't take the spell off till the night we are married!"

"...I...want your children. S-So...I'm only waiting till then." Mia's cheek puffed out and she flushed brightly, eyes moving to stare at the bedding. "So...they shouldn't worry...because all our children...will be Shirakawa's pure line."
