Rooftop Lessons

"H-Hu..." Riye felt her face redden immediately once she'd been sure of what Fay had said; she tried to think, but even her thought's voice stuttered. Superhero!? H...Her!?

Fay said that she was...her superhero...

She wanted to question it, considering Riye couldn't do anything other than block to defend herself or run away when it came to things, bu...but that's what Fay thought! She...She didn't want to upset Fay by questioning it!

So she remained as was, a red, blushing mess. "Aaa..aa."

If Fay was not currently at the epicenter of all this blushing, she would think the two of them were just absolutely adorable. Right now she was distracted by the tidal wave of stupid feels that were making her act ridiculous. At least Riye was as embarrassed as she was. She didn't know what she would have done if Riye had suddenly gotten smooth somehow.

"I...It's true...I'm.." She didn't want to admit... a lot of things... one being how old she really was.. The other... "I may be able to.. fight monsters and bad guys, but... um.. I-I.." She growled slightly, frustrated with herself. "I'm all alone.. e-except.. when I'm with you... so... s-so.." She felt something welling up and bit her lip falling quiet out of fear she might lose control of that.

As Fay spoke, Riye's arms moved to wrap around her as well, returning to hold Fay currently had her in. She wanted to be...soothing, even if...even if she was still blushing really strongly.

She could...understand how Fay felt though...

"Y...You're not alone anymore, even when...when you're fighting bad guys I'm around so y...you're never really...gonna be alone...anymore..." Riye replied, "I...I was...alone before too..."

Fay started trembling and she couldn't tell why. She wasn't in a fight, she wasn't drunk, she wasn't bleeding a lot... but she was trembling... Maybe it was because she couldn't honestly even remember the last time someone held her like this?

"S-stop.. Y-you're..." She gave a telltalle sniffle and buried her face deeper, refusing to let Riye see what was leaking out of her face right now. She was a badass monster-warrior. She did not cry and start trembling from being told she... w-wasn't...a-alone... She made another little choked noise.

"Y-you're... not alone anymore either.." She said, though as soon as she spoke, her voice was a dead giveaway that she was currently crying. Why was she even fricking crying? She wasn't sad or hurt...

Riye continued holding on to Fay, she...she was crying; everything was gonna be okay now though, neither of them were alone anymore and they'd have each other.

She gently attempted to sooth Fay by rubbing her back some, it was okay to cry, these weren't...sad tears, she felt...

"Yeah, we're not alone anymore..."

She felt the hand on her back which soothed her though it did nothing to stop the slow stream of tears that was forcing itself out of her. She was weeping like a fricking kid and... and Riye still was happy with her? This was too much.. She made a small noise of agreement, feeling too many of her barriers and walls slipping.

She felt another sentence start surging up to her mouth and fought desperately to keep it back, shaking a little as she did so. But the feelings that had made her cry had already proven themselves stronger than her will to not say such things.

She buried her face as deep into Riye's shoulder as it could go before admitting, as if confessing some great sin. "I love you."

Crap! CRAP! WHY DID SHE SAY THAAAAT?!

Things were gonna be just fine; happy... They had both been alone before, with no one around. It had been...really sad, and lonely then, but neither of them were like that anymore. They at least had each other!

Riye continued trying to sooth Fay, even if they weren't sad or upset crying... though...

...A small squeak came up at the woman's confession, and it left Riye blushing madly. Th...Th..

Her hold around Fay after a short moment tightened, holding her tightly, though it shouldn't hurt her at all really. L...L...Love...

Th...They both...attached really easily then...

"M...M-Me to-aaa..." No, no she couldn't say it like that! That wasn't the right way! "L...Love...you..."

Aaaa....it was coming out so badly from here she wanted to crawl into a corner and stay there! It was flustering and embarrassing! She just wanted to say it right!

Fay was starting to panic. Why had she said that? She couldn't love Riye, she didn't know her long enough... But the feelings were there... And she had meant it... Uggh Riye was going to think she was crazy or a freak and Fay had ruined this and.

"mm?" She felt Riye's arms around her tighten. She felt... Well this certainly did not make her feel like she had scared Riye off.

And then Riye stuttered out her likewise confession. Fay kept her face buried but finally understood how Riye felt when she squeaked. She didn't... She couldn't even process this...

She flung herself forward, knocking them onto the rest of the bed, finding it impossible to bury her face any deeper but trying anyway. Her hold on Riye tightened as much as she dare without risking hurting her precious Riye.

"I love you I love you I love you I love you..." She repeated quickly. She didn't even know how else to express what she was feeling.

Riye's face was red as Fay's hold tightened, but her smile warmed and softened; it was...really flustering, hearing it repeated so many times, but...but it was obvious they both meant it so of course it was flustering! It was a big thing!

"I...I love you too." She replied; she was flustered, and her face was burning, but...but she wanted to say it again too!

Fay still couldn't look directly at Riye right now... Her emotions were running too strong already... She knew she'd have to though. She nudged her way up till she was laying atop and slightly to the side of Riye. At any other given moment, she would have felt awkward about this, but right now her mind was safely far away from the gutter.

She just wanted to be closer to Riye.

She nuzzled her head against Riye's before finally, FINALLY, turning to look her in the eyes. Her eyes were a little puffy and she quickly reached up to try and wipe her tears away with a forearm, before grinning from ear to ear.

"This is ridiculous... We just met yesterday evening... b-but.. I'm... I don't care, because I'm... just.. so glad that my life has been ridiculously good for once." She still felt nervous about how fast her emotions were growing, how fast she was attaching, but, as she thought with another smile.. it wasn't anything she could even help anyway...

Fay's grin left her blushing further but it didn't take long before she returned the expression with a grin of her own.

They had...just met yesterday evening, that was true but...considering their pasts, whether or not they'd shared them in detail or not...it was clear they'd both been alone before, and had had no one really.

It was...easy to get attached, and even love...

"M-Mhmm...I've been...really happy." Riye replied, giving a small flustered giggle.

Fay groaned out of just... sheer 'not-able-to-process-all-these-feels'. At least she'd stopped crying though. She felt a little bad about crying on Riye before remembering that their work out clothes probably weren't any worse for wear for it. She moved her arms from around Riye's torso to gently lay around her neck and pulled herself up, her face hovering over the silver haired girl's.

"Not alone~" She repeated, as if the words tasted sweet. They did, to her. "....So beautiful..." She muttered to herself without even realizing it. She lifted a hand to gently move Riye's hair aside. "Love...." She mulled that word over as well before she leaned in and gave Riye a quick kiss on the lips.

The words sounded nice, not alone...they weren't alone because they had each other now. It was really nice to think that, it was a really warming, happy thought.

Riye attempted to follow Fay's hand with her eyes as the woman brushed some of her hair out of the way, but they'd returned to her just in time to receive a quick kiss, which caused a happy giggle to escape once they'd separated.

Fay continued to play with the hair around Riye's face, gently moving it aside, stroking the side of her head, hovering ever present just above her. "You're... I.." She seemed to be forming some thoughts in her head, but not sure how to put them. She paused in the middle of playfully running her hand through Riye's hair before she said rather decisively. "I want to take you out. Like on a date." She pursed her lips in a little look of determination.

"Um... You're... sweet and gorgeous and special and... you deserve better than popcorn and a movie in my crappy apartment... Um.." She just... needed a job. "S-so I'm gonna start looking for a job around here ASAP... I might.. need to visit my hometown to get paperwork to do so though..."

She was half thinking out loud, halfway trying to include Riye in her planning. "Which... I don't really want to leave the country when Hollows are still threatening you, but... I plan to settle down here for a while so I need to find a job.. So I can take you somewhere nice!"

Hm?

Riye listened as Fay try to say something, waiting patiently as she gathered her thoughts. Fay...wanted to take her out? She should have expected to hear that at one point, but she still couldn't help turning red as she gave a nod.

All...All those compliments though...

Riye tried, with difficulty, to keep her flustered squeak in and give another nod towards Fay's idea of getting a job; "If...If you need help, I can help you look as well, there's...there's definitely something out there!"

She'd need to go back to her hometown to get her paperwork and such, but that was fine, she needed those things definitely. When she had them, she could start looking for work like she wanted!

"I'll be careful about hollows, promise!"

She thought on Riye's offer to help for a moment. It would be nice to have her come along... and Fay only knew so much about job hunting... But Riye had work most days too...

She shook her head. "If I need help. I promise I'll come to you, but you have a job of your own. I don't want to distract you from that. But thank you." She leaned up and kissed Riye's forehead, appreciating the offer rather greatly.

She nodded though at Riye's promise. Good... That was all she asked. "Good... You can't go being so sweet and adorable, and making me fall in.. fall in love with you, then go get hurt by a hollow. I won't allow it." She hugged Riye tight.

".... I love you." She said it again. "S-sorry. I know I keep saying it..." She just... was so shocked that she COULD.

"Okay." That was fine, she did work, but she'd definitely be willing to try to help her job hunt; Fay had promised if she was needed she'd come to her. That made her happy to hear. If Fay needed help, she'd help gladly!

Her blush didn't have time to fade, and remained strong at Fay's next words; "M-Mhmm, I'll be careful and I won't get hurt! I...l-love you too."

Fay smiled and glanced around as if suddenly aware of anything besides the pink eyed girl in front of her for the first time. She glanced back down to Riye. Should she get up? Without saying anything, Fay blushed. They were... laying on her bed...'

Her blush deepened, still with no explanation before she, through force of will only gained by a century of training, slipped sideways off of Riye, laying on her side against her instead of on top of her. She looked around before seeing words scrolling up the TV screen. "H-holy shit... Th...The movie's over?" She said incredulous. They'd snuggled straight through the whole last part of it!

"H-Huh?" Riye turned her head to see that... yes, the movie had ended. They'd...they'd missed the entire ending! They really had...

The credits were rolling, and she had to wonder how much of even the credits they'd missed.

After a moment, a sheepish laugh escaped her; "Aha...guess we did."

They could always watch it again whenever they wanted though, so it wasn't like it was the worst thing! Still...they'd been distracted throughout the entire ending.

Fay glanced again at Riye before realizing that even with her nap earlier, the temptation to curl up against her was too great. For someone who could turn into metal, she was remarkably soft. She sighed, leaning over kiss Riye on the cheek, before standing up. She yawned and gave a rather spectacular (one could even say kitty-like) stretch, before pacing around a little.

"Um.. Wh..What do you wanna do now?" She asked, wondering if Riye had anything she'd like to do... Or if she wanted to go home, Fay wanted to give her the option.. Her place was crappy but she could at least be a good host, especially to such a special guest.

A smile appeared as Riye felt Fay lean in to kiss her cheek, and she sat up soon after Fay moved to stand before stretching herself. They'd been lying down for a bit so a stretch was definitely good!

What to do now...?

"Hmm, I don't...really have anything in mind..." She had had a lot of fun today though! It would be bad to just...end it and go home! What more was there to do though? She didn't want to...to overstay her welcome either, even if...even though deep down she knew there probably wasn't an "overstaying her welcome" in this.

She paced around the small apartment thinking. They could go somewhere? No, stupid. You have no money. That's why you need a job. And she wasn't going to bring up anything that Riye would have to pay for....

They could do more training? Mmm... Riye seemed pretty spent before... They could... She pursed her lips, feeling them tremble a little at the thought that... most activities she could think of sort of... led themselves to physical closeness... Something she both... wanted and feared...

She found herself blushing again in such short order after the last time. "Um... I-I don't have any ideas either." She said, looking away. "But you're welcome to stay as long as you want! Hell, if it wasn't so awful here, I'd offer to let you stay the night."

"Y-Yeah...Hmm..." Riye was still blushing, especially at Fay's words about being welcome. It was the same situation with her, the woman was certainly welcome to make herself at home at her apartment too, though she was sure she already told Fay that.

What...What to do though...

They could watch another movie or play another game, but...they were probably both movie and game'd out by now, besides they'd ended up missing the last half of the movie...

She had to wonder the time too, they'd been here a good few hours and Riye had lost track of time.

She sighed, frustrated with herself for not being... more fun, she supposed... She thought about saying that but one glance at Riye and she knew that all it would get her was adorable insisting otherwise... and then she'd wind up kissing Riye and... yeah.

"We could..." make out? "Ummm..." Play twister? "O-Oh! W-we could... Play the question game?" She walked over to the fridge, nervously looking for something to drink and grabbed a soda for herself, getting one for Riye too in case she wanted it.

"Basically... We ask each other any sort of question, buuut, you have to answer your own question? So I could be like... 'Do you like cats? I love kitties.' Then you would answer, ask your question and say what your answer is for it."

She looked aside, rubbing one arm with the other. "It's... a silly idea... s-sorry."

They could...

Riye listened as Fay tried to think again, wishing she could...help somehow, but she was definitely fresh out of ideas unfortunately...

They could...play the questions game?

Her smile returned after Fay had explained, and she gave a nod; "We could do that! It's not silly at all, it's a fun way to learn more about each other!"
