Rooftop Lessons

She nodded, smiling finally. Okay! Good... And she... She really wanted to learn more about Riye! Everything she could! She hurried over to the bed and crawled onto it, sitting cross legged to face Riye and handed her a soda.

"Okay!" She was pleased she'd thought of something to do, as well. "Umm... I'll start!" Okay.. something interesting... but not too much. Ease into it.. "What's your... favorite animal?" Crap, that was boring. "Mine is definitely... Tigers... They're awesome, they're not jerks like Lions and they're kind of adorable."

Riye accepted the soda, opening it after Fay had sat down comfortably; the first question then...

Favorite animal?

"Hmm..." Riye thought for a moment, ahh there were so many great animals! She had lots and lots of ones she liked, but...favorite... "Aaa, I really like cats and dogs, but...but...mmmm...Australian Shepherds and fluffy cats, aaaah...that's such a normal answer, ahaha..."

She definitely had more favorites, but...she'd at least tried to give specific breeds that weren't just dogs and cats...

She had wild animals she liked too!

Fay was sitting patiently waiting for Riye's answer and she grinned when she gave it. "Aww, but it's such a sweet answer. Cats and dogs are cute!" She said, not adding what she was thinking, which was 'like you'. After a moment, she reached out and gave a playful smack on Riye's leg.

"Hey, it's your turn to ask a question once you answer, remember?" She said with a giggle, scooting up closer to Riye, opening her soda and taking a drink.

Riye gave a nod of agreement, yes...they were definitely all cute! Picking a favorite animal was definitely not the easiest question for her, but it was fun learning these little things!

Her turn, right!

"Um..." She thought for a moment, "Favorite holiday? I really like Christmas, I can cuddle up in lots of blankets with nice warm drinks!"

She never really actually did much for the holiday itself, but it was fun getting to just do that, cuddling up on her couch in a bunch of blankets with sweets and a hot drink... She got to watch her shows or play games for entertainment!

Fay smiled and nodded. Ooh, favorite holiday! Good question. She didn't have to think about this one. "Ooh! Christmas for me too! Yes. Cuddling is good. I like the cold though... I just... I just like the good cheer and happiness the season brings out... which is... kinda dorky but.." She shrugged, with a sheepish little smile on her face. "P-plus... this Christmas um... I'll have someone to celebrate it WITH..." She said with a quick glance up.

"Uhhmm... Question... Favorite... movie? Mine is.... Probably Kill Bill... It's a corny answer but I can relate to it." It was a movie about a badass kicking ass with her katana. It was practically her life, minus the vengeance...

"Mhmm! I really like the cold too!" Riye replied, giving an enthused nod at hearing Fay's answer; that was another reason to really like the holiday, it brought along happy feelings with it too, and...and the part about having someone to celebrate it with...that would be fun!

She looked forward to it!

Favorite movie?

"Hmm..." Riye became thoughtful again, trying to think; she'd seen...a lot of movies but favorite? "Either... Wolf Children...or Hotarubi no Mori e..."

They were both really touching, though the latter was more of a short film than full length movie...but they were both still really good!

"Ooh, I've heard of Wolf Children. I haven't heard of the other one..." She tipped her head a little. "Well I wanna watch both of them some time!" If they were Riye's favorite movies, of course she wanted to see them! Riye was now officially her favorite person and she could watch her favorite person's favorite stuff.

She gave a small playful growl and puffed her cheeks up. She scooted over and reached out, tickling Riye's leg rather intently. "You forgot to aaaask." She whined, continuing to tickle, as she intended to keep doing until Riye responded.

"They're both really good! Promise!" Riye smiled, though a laugh forced its way up despite her trying to bite it back as Fay began tickling her. She...She'd forgotten to ask her own question again, she...she needed to think of one, quick!

Next Question, next question...

"Favorite food, or if pasta is your favorite, second favorite?" They'd had that pasta last night and Fay had really liked it, as for her... "I really like omelette rice!"

Fay relented, sitting upright.  "Okay... but next time I may keep tickling."  She said, sticking her tongue out a little.   She actually didn't mind at all... But she did like opportunities to tease Riye, or tickle her... It was so cute...

"Hmm... Favorite food... Yeah, pasta.. So second favorite.. Um.. Steak?"  She nodded.  "Yes.  Steak."  She said with a happy grin that gave the impression that even thinking about pasta or steak got her hungry.  "Hmm... Okay okay...."  She 'hmm'd for a second... Favorite actor?  She glanced at Riye, still... feeling a little mischievous, before getting a sly little smile.

"Favorite.... celebrity crush...?"  She asked, trying to be coy but feeling a little unsure about it.  "Me..."  She could... probably name a few... but one of the ones she was considering was Japanese.  "Rinko Kikuchi."  She gave a decisive nod.  "I'll admit, I only first saw her in Pacific Rim, but I've watched a lot of Japanese stuff she's been in since then."

"Your turn!" She said, MOST curious to hear Riye's answer. She raised her hand, pantomining tickling with it for a second just to teasingly remind her to ask a question after.

Celebrity crush!?

That... "Aaah..." She tried to think, she didn't...really know if she had one she specifically crushed on, she'd watched a lot of things but... "Aaa...I dunno...if I had a celebrity crush, I've never gone and really watched a lot of things with just one person...Hmmm..."

Riye noticed Fay's hand as she pantomimed tickling, which made her try to quicken her thinking into coming up with the next question; "Um! Dream vacation place! I'd think...London would be really nice, personally..."

She pouted a little. Aww, no fun. She'd wanted to know what sort of celebrities Riye liked... Oh well... It was silly anyway. She had maybe... wanted to see if she was similar...

"Ooh.. London.. That sounds awesome..." She nodded. That sounded like a lot of fun. "Um... I dunno... I've kind of... always wanted to go to Hawaii?" She said, a little unsure... She hadn't actually spent a lot of time thinking about holidays.

"Okay... question..." She hrmmmed to herself, thinking. She thought of something... Hmmm... W-well.... She could ask that... "What's your... ideal, um... First date activity?" She was a little blushy about asking it. "I think for mine... it'd be... Ice skating? O-or the beach."

"Hawaii seems like it would be fun, it seems like it would be a really pretty place too!" She didn't know much about the place, but from what she did know was that it seemed like it'd be fun!

First date activity...

"Those seem like they would be fun, mmm I'd agree especially with a beach visit!" Now...Now it was her turn again! "Favorite dessert food? I...really like cookie dough things, mmm I also really like strawberry-vanilla swirl ice-cream, and lots of other types but yeah!"

"Ooh... Okay..." She nodded. Well... That was an idea on where she could take Riye. She felt a little ball of anxiety and anticipation swirling in her stomach.

"mm... Uhh... I guess I like mint stuff? Ice cream mostly." She nodded. "Th-though I like cookies too... I don't get to eat a lot of sweets, really." She looked away for a second, awkwardly scratching her face with one extended finger.

"Umm... Favorite... color? Mine is dark blue." She said before gesturing up to her hair. "For obvious reasons."

"Aaah, mint is really good too!" Riye agreed happily.

So Fay didn't eat a lot of sweets...? Sweets were really good, but she could understand why someone wouldn't want to eat much of them or couldn't, that or just didn't.

Her favorite color then?

"Aha, I have a lot; I don't think I could pick just one hmmm..." Riye thought, trying to at least narrow down the list; "I really like blues, and dark purples, ah! and hot pink's one I really like too, ummm also grays and black."

Grays and black were easy to wear when it came to clothes, or having bags of, so she liked them as well!

Fay nodded, happy that Riye liked mint. It was... nice to find things they have in common. She giggled and leaned in, intent to listen to Riye's list of colors she liked. Blue made her happy. The rest were nice too.

"Well... Y'know, I am really coming around to silver too.." She reached up to playfully run a hand through Riye's hair before her eyes narrowed and she dove forward, essentially glomping poor Riye over as Fay began a full fledged tickle assault. "You forgot to aaaask." She had a glee in her voice that gave the impression she was HAPPY Riye had forgotten.

Silver...too...

Riye couldn't help but feel herself blush at that statement as Fay's hand made its way to her hair just before...

A surprised squeak escaped her before laughter followed thanks to Fay's tickle assault; she...she'd been thinking! She'd just been thinking of what to ask next! She had not asked a question though yet, and was now suffering the consequences.

Laughter escaped, and it was really hard to get anything out other than that.

"Wh...w...what's the...the coolest place...you've e-ever been?" She questioned between laughs, it was a miracle she'd be able to get it out. "I've been...been to Tokyo once, it was really cool, there was all...all sorts of things!"

It would definitely be fun to go again, when she was able to she definitely wanted to, there was still so much to see there! She'd only been a kid when she'd gone, and had only been there a short time before being passed along to another relative.

Fay pouted. Aww, she'd been hoping Riye would be too ticklish to talk... Still, she decided not to abdicate her position laying on Riye in case she did it again, curling up some not entirely unlike a cat.

"Hmm..." She laid herself forward, head resting on Riye's shoulder. "Probably... Tokyo too... just um.. like a hundred years ago?" She wasn't exactly sure about the time. "The place was wild back then though. I'm glad it's developed like it has, but... I miss the craziness sometimes." She sighed. "Hmm... Do you like.... showers or baths?" She wondered dreamily. "I like showers though to be fair, I don't have anywhere to take baths."

"Uwaa, I've only read about what Edo was like in history books..." She had a bit of awe in her voice, it would have been interesting to see what it was like in person, though that would be impossible, and even if it were it would be extremely difficult for someone like her considering the time.

Showers or baths?

"Mmm, I really like both! Baths are good for when I have nothing better to do and really wanna relax, sometimes it's easy to fall asleep though! Showers are really nice too for quick relaxing!" Riye replied, "Weirdest dream you've ever had? One time I dreamed I was being chased by a bunch of flying fluff balls and I had  to help a kitty defeat them all to save its kingdom!"

It was...definitely a weird dream, a cute...odd...very weird dream. She got a cool costume and everything in it though!

"W-well... If I could I would show you... but they didn't exactly have video cameras back then..." She said with a wistful sigh. She didn't miss some of the technological constraints of the time. Electricity especially made her shiver at old candlelight. Then again, it was easier to sneak up on people in candle light.

"Hmm... A long relaxing bath?" She pondered the idea. "To be completely honest? I can't even imagine it." Such relaxation seemed almost a foreign concept to her. She was pleased (mostly) though that Riye asked a question.

"H-...huh..." weirdest dream? Well... There were some... odd ones, but she wasn't going to bring up certain kinds of weirdness. Ultimately only one dream she could remember stood out. "W-well... I had... a REALLY weird dream earlier when I took a nap... Buuuuut..." She looked away blushing. "I can't tell you. You'll start using the c word again."

It would definitely be interesting to see such a time, but there were history books for that she guessed; she could always read up on history and try to imagine how things were!

"It's really nice, I've done it a few times and I was super relaxed after." Riye replied, giving a small, happy laugh. Yup, relaxing baths were great!

Fay had had a weird dream earlier? She wouldn't tell? Hnnnn....

"Aaa? You really won't tell?" Fay was blushing, and she was scared of being called cute again? Now Riye really wanted to hear!

Fay frowned. No. No, she would not tell. She could swear on her parents' assumed graves she wouldn't tell.... Until she saw that eager look from Riye. "Mmmmmm." She looked away, blushing and hugged herself closer to Riye. How did this girl do this to her.... It was a nightmare.

"W-well... Um... I was.." It was a bit fuzzy but she had to remember. "I was surrounded by birds? And then... It turned out I was um... a kitty.." She winced, feeling the cuteness already coming on. "Then I took over and was the kitty queen.. and then uuhhhhhh... I think... a hand from the sky... dethroned me and started petting me..." She grumbled at the end, burying her face in Riye's shoulder again, embarrassed that the action had even made it into her dreaming.

Fay had dreamed that she had been a kitty, and then....kitty queen...

Cute...It was so cute...

It was taking all of Riye's willpower to not say the word, but it was such a cute dream; a hand had come down from the sky? ...She had...when Fay had been napping petted her hair some...Had that been...

Aaaaa~ Cute~!

"Mnnnn...." It was obvious she wanted to say it. So, so obvious...

Fay glanced up, seeing the word trying to force itself out of Riye. She blushed and groaned, burying her head again. Why was she cursed with this (alleged) cuteness. She'd known when she told Riye that it was going to happen... She sighed. She'd told Riye before she could say it, but... she was trying to be so nice.

"Mmmmnnn." she groaned again, curling up a little against Riye. "Y-you can say it..." She said. Riye had permission to say whatever she wanted to her... Even if it was going to lead to another blushing fit...

Riye hugged Fay close as a small, happy laugh escaped her now that she had permission to say it; "I think it's cute~!"

Fay would likely start blushing at hearing that, but her blushing face was cute too! The dream had sounded absolutely adorable~ Kitty queen~ She had been dethroned through petting, but she'd been a kitty queen for at least a short while!

Just as Riye suspected, it caused Fay to blush. "Ahhh" She squeezed her eyes shut. Between that and the hugging, she could not handle this. She hugged Riye back, groaning. "R-Riyeee..." she whined. Yes, if anything could dethrone the Kitty Queen, it was most certainly this girl's affections. "Mmm.."

She looked up to Riye's face only to make a small squeak and look away again. "So mean.." She grumbled, squeezing Riye a little tighter.
